Companies angered to learn that their products featured in commercials which aired during the Duggar's new show.

Courtesy of the Daily Mail:

Companies who learned their commercials have been airing on a new show about the Duggars are none too happy, and making sure their ads do not run when TLC airs its new program Jill and Jessa: Counting On.

InTouch spoke with seven companies who were not only upset when they heard this news, but also said they were taking measures to make sure it would not happen again on the network.

The companies included; Cici's Pizza, The UPS Store, Verizon Wireless, Pure Michigan, White wave Foods, Choice Hotels and Mattress Firm.

Cici's said; 'When we learned one of our ads was placed adjacent to controversial programming, we took immediate action to stop it.'

The UPS Store meanwhile said the show would be put 'on our list of exclusions as well as any other potential Duggar programming.'

Verizon said they did not intend to be on the show and had no control where their ad ran while Choice Hotels said if an ad ran it was an 'error of the network.'

Pure Michigan may have been the most firm however, saying; 'We contacted TLC immediately after learning about this mistake, and have been assured no Pure Michigan ads will run on this program moving forward.

'The Counting On program does not meet our brand guidelines.'

Can't hardly blame these companies. After sex abuse and incest do not exactly sell more pizza and wireless phones.

I don't know who thought it was a good idea to put these grifting hypocrites back on TV, but I hope they enjoy the backlash from their advertisers.

    2. Huh? The companies are PULLING their ads. Add to that those listed above were unaware (so they claim) their ads were showing then and I don't understand your comment.

Or was that an extremely subtle snark?

The Duggars pimp their children, and think this is a legitimate way to earn a living. Sick

I would love to see the results if the girls were all sent through qualified psychological "detox"! You know, to get rid of their lifelong brainwashing?

I would not want to be any of the men in that family - especially the father! And I use the term "men" cautiously.

  9. Cover the lower parts of their faces, and just look at their eyes. Neither one is smiling with their eyes: only their lips. It looks freaky. It looks exactly like they've been trained to smile and "look happy" because otherwise they're opposing god their own father, who disciplined them into appreciating... whatever it is he, and the boys, do. Sick, sick, sick.

I can't stand Jessa. She takes more selfies that the Kardashians and Bristol combined. She proclaims to love God but it's obvious she's in love with herself.

Thanks. Good list of companies that either have a conscience, or know it will hurt their bottom line

A better list would be of those companies who do NOT object to having their commercials air anywhere near that disgusting famdamnily's 'show;.

I've been writing to Discovery and posting after articles on the Duggars for a long time to let it be known that I won't watch TLC or any channels owned by Discovery. A lot of people were doing this, but I think the new show kind of snuck up on people during this time with so much Trump stuff going on. Hopefully people aren't just letting things slide and they are now writing in.

I love how they list the companies, then give snippets of their concern, except for Mattress Firm. I suppose they're secretly happy to air on a show about constant screwing, incest, cover ups, and two girls who feel their only worth is in childbearing. They're perfect examples of Stockholm Syndrome without treatment.
What a shame, The Learning Channel is teaching victims to forgive and forget. They used to have quality programming, or at least educational shows, now they're the Lemming Channel.
Now if they had a show about intervention by accredited professional psychologists, there's a chance they may help others in the same situation, but it's all about the moolah.

It used to be that shows about brood mares were about animals. Now the brood mares pathetic people.

  18. And this is why the show is going to tank, if it isn't pulled immediately.

Shows don't air without income in the form of advertising.

The original show was pulled when it lost all sponsorship. This show will suffer the same fate.

I'm sure TLC thought it was going to pull a fast one by creating this new show and airing commercials on it without telling the companies exactly which show it was.

But the cat's out now and you'll find a lot of the original advertisers that pulled out of the original show will put clauses in their contracts forbidding the airing of their commercials during this new show and any other show with Duggars or Duggar family members in it.

The lawyers will tighten the noose.

If TLC doesn't want to swing they had better butcher that cash cow.
