In yet another sign of the upcoming Apocalypse Jeb Bush endorses Ted Cruz.

Courtesy of the "smarter Bush's" Facebook page:

I wanted you all to be the first to know that today I am endorsing Ted Cruz for President.

Ted is a consistent, principled conservative who has demonstrated the ability to appeal to voters and win primary contests, including yesterday’s Utah caucus.

As I said from the moment I launched my presidential campaign, the stakes in 2016 couldn’t be higher.

Washington is broken, too many families are stuck in poverty and Western civilization is under attack from radical Islamic terrorists, as evidenced by the horrific attack in Brussels, which was preceded by attacks in Paris and California.

For the sake of our party and country, we must overcome the divisiveness and vulgarity Donald Trump has brought into the political arena or we will certainly lose our chance to defeat the Democratic nominee, most likely Hillary Clinton, this fall.

That is the only way we can reverse President Obama’s failed domestic and foreign policy agenda, and turn our country around.

Republicans can win back the White House and put our nation on a path to security and prosperity if we support a nominee who can unite our party and articulate how conservative policies will help people rise up and reach their full potential.

In any other election cycle, that did not feature a Donald Trump of course, Bush and Cruz would be mortal enemies.

Cruz is a Tea Party extremist who went to Washington D.C. in order to sabotage the government.

How ironic is it for Bush to say "the government is broken" while endorsing the guy who helped to break it?

I swear NOTHING makes sense anymore.

Up is now down, stop is now go, and Republican establishment saviors are now treasonous obstructionist assholes.

However on a positive note I just remembered that I'm a Democrat, so I guess this really just calls for more popcorn.

Just more proof that Conservative "values" morph with whatever the needs of the moment dictate. They're against it until they can benefit personally from being FOR it...

  2. More popcorn? Not so fast -- looks like voter suppression is rampant in Arizona...

Leaders from the Arizona branch of the Democratic Party have confirmed that its lawyers are officially making an inquiry after multiple Democratic voters showed up to the polls only to find that they were listed as independents, Republicans, or had no party affiliation at all.

Bernie's campaign reports, “We’ve been getting calls all day from lifelong Democrats who have been registered as independents...One woman even said she’d been registered as a Libertarian.”

You think this isn't going to happen in November? And you can add gerrymandering in 55% of U.S. Districts to skew the Republican votes to the nominee's advantage. A Democratic victory is not a done deal. Obama's election victories pre-dated this undemocratic crap.

You think this isn't going to happen in November?

I remember a November in 2000 when Al Gore won the popular vote but we still ended up with a President Bush. Gerrymandering has happened because on the local and state level voters are complacent and don't show up to the polls. It's all coming to fruition now so I hope that lax local a midterm voter-avoiders have learned their lesson and will do better in the future.

It will take another 2 decades to undo but it can be done.

Jeb! still thinks he can get the nomination at the RNC and he just might be right. Neither Trump not Cruz are going to reach the magic number of 1237.

So much goes on behind the scenes, it gives me a headache.

Cruz is the man who said "To God be the glory!" when he won one state. Cruz would try to set up a theocracy instead of separation of church and state. Laurence Sing: "Like his father, Ted Cruz belongs to the 'Seven Mountains dominionism' sect of Christianity that seeks to place Christian in control over the seven forces that shape and control our culture: (1) Business; (2) Government; (3) Media; (4) Arts and Entertainment; (5) Education; (6) Family; and (7) Religion. In other words a totalitarian christo-fascist dictatorship led by Dominionists. Even if you are a devout Christian, unless you are Dominionist, you will be the 'enemy'. All non-dominionists in a "Cruz America' will end up 'enemies of the state'."

Ah...Did the Jebster give Teddy his toy turtles? Jeb(?) kept small little tiny turtles in his pocket while out on the mean old campaign trail to give out to the little children he encountered. Cause, apparently, little children are the only humans that were not aquainted with the Bush family and their skeletons.

  14. The pressure is on for the dropouts to endorse anyone but Drumpf so their people can be freed up to vote for anyone but Drumpf on the second ballot.
