Taking a break from politics to show images of parenting done right.

So much fun 🐣🐣🐣(early Easter because it's our week with Tripp)

Look, nobody is pimping any products or taunting out of state parents, just a father making memories with his children.

And it only cost him a little over $100,000 to win that opportunity.

Unfortunately the money he spent is nothing compared to the memories he lost by having to try and deal with the Palins.
Kudos for Dumbkota for getting an atty immediately.

Tripp always looks relaxed and genuinely happy when he is with Levi & Sunny. So refreshing. Poor kid. All the kids should be taken from the stool! She is a pisspoor mom, I've see cats that are better moms that her.
      Disgusting palins.

    2. I agree. He looks happy, relaxed and safe. Children need to feel safe and secure, to be able to speak and express themselves freely, to safely explore whatever may fascinate him, to show and feel love, to know that no matter what, he is respected and loved unconditionally. A child needs and wants structure, boundries and guidance. To have nutritious yummy meals. To have his boo boos kissed. To play and have fun. To laugh and laugh and laugh. To be considerate of his fears and the help to defeat them, or at least calm them with a warm hug or two. All of these things and more, all lovingly given on a continuous basis.

My bet is this sweet little boy has all this with his daddy and Sunny. It's sad his mother was raised so poorly she cannot truly understand how to be a loving mother.

A father capable of love is so valuable in a child's life. A damaged mother, like Bristol, should be so lucky. Possibly even she is cognizant of this. Quit being so self centered Bri!

I forgot to mention Levi looks so content and Happy also! I really wish they could be a family. Tripp needs THIS! Sunny is a awesome young woman with a smile to rival the Sun! I really wish for Tripp's sake and Levi & Sunny he could be with them all the time.
The "STool" is such a vile, punk ass bitch!
She thinks "things" are better than time well spent.
No man will marry that thing. She will end up along. All the kids will go with their Babydaddies and GTF away from her drug addicted ass.
Too bad the courts won't do their jobs and take these poor kids away from her!

    1. I assume this is a full week, 7 days and 7 nights? None of this pick him up at Bristles and then drop him off every day?

I wonder how long it is going to last before she starts to make excuses, etc. to block Levi from his full rights. I can so see her reducing his time with Tripp after a bit. That girl is nothing but a pus bag full of lame excuses.

Oh, dear. You give me an image of the first few hours after Tripp's returned to the House of Bristol. I'll bet he's anxious and stressed the day before, thinking of how he'll be grilled on what he did, what his father didn't do, what his stepmother made him eat, etc. Bristol will never, ever let go, and Tripp's going to pay the price.
But at least it looks like he's having a hell of a fun, messy, happy time with his real family.

Kids do tend to be very excited after spending time with the "fun parent". Next door to me there is a man and partner who get his kids every two weeks. They have boats, snow machines, ATV's and a family sized Argo, plus a cabin off the road system.

The mother is poor and has made bad choices with men since these two were born and now has 3 more with the new man, his two previous and the new one together.

The girls go home to Mom and stepdad to a duplex with 7 people and they are depressed and she said they always wonder why they have to live with her when dad has so much better a life. I've always thought she should just give these two to dad so that they could have a nicer life.

1:29 Sunny and Levi are not the "fun" parents. They're the only parents. The Johnston only do ordinary family things, not things like jetting off for Hawaiian holidays and they have no luxury cabins or planes and houses in warm states.

Sunny and Levi are just ordinary parents. Tripp loves them and his sisters and they love him.

It's the junk yard dog system. Yes, the children would be better off with the Dad and it would probably make the home life of the rest of the family better as well.

But she'll never consent because they're hers and it's all about denying him something she has.

Like a dog will eat food to deny it to another dog, even if it makes them vomit as a result.

Not sure how joint custody works in Alaska, but in AZ, it can be done by parents alternating weekly custody. I know that's the situation for one of my daughters.

My sister has an 11-year-old step son whose mother makes him feel guilty every time he goes to spend his week with his dad. She's single and doesn't have much of a life other than him. She tells him how lonely and sad she gets when he's not there and how he is her everything. He has two half-siblings at his Dad and my sister's house and there's always a lot of activity and family time. His mom makes sure he knows that she sits around and does nothing when he's not with her. It's really unhealthy for the poor kid.

I agree with the above. Every photo is just a grab of the camera to catch a pose, usually to commemorate some typically significant occasion or because Bristol needs to make some cash selling a cropped-kid photo or product placement photo. As much as she posts, we never see anything spontaneous that shows the house actually being USED, actually LIVED IN. What a drab way for a kid to live. How unfortunate for the young developing mind.

Bristol needs to purge herself of those that keep her down.

Why hasn't this guy been fired? John Tiemessen ... creative consultant
Why hasn't this guy been fired? David Martin ... executive producer

    Storyline
Levi Johnston's (Bristol's ex-boyfriend and father to her son Tripp) tell-all book is published while Bristol struggles to adjust to life in LA. Bristol begs Willow to return so that she doesn't have to face the media storm alone.
    Season 1 | Episode 3

    Storyline
Back in Alaska, Bristol arranges for a meeting between her, Levi and Tripp to discuss Levi's role in Tripp's life. Willow opposes the idea of giving Levi another chance, while Andy suggests Tripp is better off without a part-time Dad.
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2306680/?ref_=tt_ep_nx
    Season 1 | Episode 4

Bristol is seemingly obsessed with Levi's book and with saying how little it means to her. To "get her mind off" the book, she takes her friends to visit a shooting range and puts the book on a stake where she proceeds to blast it with a gun. No, seriously, it means nothing to her.
    http://tn.ltcdn.com/1578086874/1578086874_1708223727001_LT-BristolPalinLife039saTripp-BooksandShotguns-6-112380.jpg

Reflecting later while sitting on Venice Beach, Bristol has decided to return to Alaska and proudly states that being in L.A. has taught her that she can do it all by herself, just be on her own with Tripp. The editors must have cut out the part where she says, "Except for all of that help I begged and guilt-tripped Willow into giving me." And with that, Bristol and L.A. break up for good. Help the Children, we hardly knew you and your awful maroon polo shirt uniform.

This thread is about parenting done right. Didn't Bristol just say something about how happy she is with co-parenting now? You can see how far she has come with Levi and it would be an excellent plan if she can get rid of those two losers that manipulate her and get these crazy TV shows made. Tiemessen is about the last person anyone would want for a child custody issues.

We are waiting to see how her co-parenting with Dakota is taking off. Bristol doesn't have the hindrance of getting other children off to school this week. She can spend the day celebrating Piper's birthday with her sisters or posing for a photo-op.

All I see is a very immature woman that can't keep her legs together, destroyed the face that the God she purports to love gave her, and makes those whose sperm hit that egg lives miserable for having hooked up with her in the first place.

Kids being kids. Playing, making a mess, getting dye on their hands, creating. Developing their brains and sense of self in the ways that so matter at such a young age. This is what a normal house with kids looks like.

At Bristol's all you ever see is blah adult neutral decor and no real sign of young life existing there. All the photos are posed and closeups and you never see the kids just doing their thing and being truly at home as little kids.

I'm in the Midwest it's 20 degrees warmer here, yet indoors, I'm in a light fleece top and sweats. Yet Levi and those kids (except Breeze) are dressed like it's 80 degrees out. Baby in just a diaper, etc. Even Breeze doesn't have shoes on. That's not a criticism, just looking for an explanation. DO you all keep your homes at 80 unlike our energy/carbon conscious 65?

    1. Well your comment seems a little troll-ish but assuming it's not I will answer it.

Those of us who live up here, especially those born to parents who were born up here, have developed a fairly high tolerance to cold temperatures.

I myself am rarely clothed in anything except a tank top at home even when the temperatures are below freezing outside.

Speaking just for myself the temperature in my house is never higher than seventy degrees and when it gets significantly warmer outside I am often quite miserable.

      Does that help?

A lot of homes have in floor heat up here so the floor is warm, and the heat radiates upwards. It's an affordable way to heat a home and Levi and Sunny are in the process of finishing a new home so they most likely chose in-floor heat.

I have in floor heat with a gas fired boiler/furnace and I rarely ever set the thermostat over 68-69 and we often wear short sleeves and light sweats or shorts in the house. We also have 5-star energy rated doors and windows which conserve heat and keep the home true to the temp on the thermostat.

Our gas bill, for 2800 square feet is $122/month on a budget billing program so if you have the right construction you can keep warm on the cheap.

So true. I live in Manitoba which is colder than Alaska and we do the same. As soon as the temp his plus 10C, the teenagers are in shorts going to school.

Thank you for answering, so politely, Jesse. And that's partly what I surmised, as I raised my kids in a much cooler indoor environment than many around me - we routinely turn the heat down or off at night and sleep under down quilts - 40-50 is not uncommon overnight - it's very healthy and a Scandinavian thing. But they are both darn cold hearty, now.

But during the day, if Alaskans have such a high tolerance to cold, why not just turn the heat down more in winter to save $$ and wear a sweater?

I've been in the pinching every penny twice scenario and that was one of our biggest money savers. Kept the "heat" at 60 day and off at night.

I was wondering if at one time energy prices were so low up there that it became part of the culture to be profligate with indoor heat, too?

Just have to correct one of your misconceptions, even though we harvest a lot of oil and natural gas up here our prices have always been higher than lower 48.

I know, it makes no sense, but it is true. I just filled up my tank for $2.35/gallon at Chevron in Wasilla and I read that others are seeing less than $2 gas in the lower 48.

@ 1:34 PM You beat me to it !!!!, I was going to post this:

I have a question, do Alaskans get free heat or does everyone sent their paycheck directly to the heating company?

I have never seen so many photos of people barefoot, short sleeves or in shorts as posted from AK in the winter.

      Delete
    14. Anonymous3:12 PM

I didn't think the question was a bit troll-ish, just genuinely curious.

I suspect that part of the answer is that homes are built more heat-retentive in the first place and also wood heat (if you have that too) can really put out heat.

2:07 has a good point, in that possibly having a history of cheap energy accustomed folks to maintaining more comfortable heat than might be the norm in the lower states. I live in Oregon and (being energy and cost-conscious) I never turn thermostat above 60, just put on another layer if I need to.

If there is floor heat, that makes the summer-clothes understandable and would certainly make it more comfy for young kids.

      Delete
    15. Anonymous3:33 PM

Must be those newer homes. When I lived up in Seward in 87-89, we rented an older house and once October hit, I was living in layers until June.
I still am here in Maryland, because it's an older home, not very energy efficient, so we rarely turn the heat up higher than 64 and just tough it out.

Hi Gryphen! Me and my wife re-located here to northern Manitoba from central Canada five months ago, and I find the climate is much drier here than in the south. Our home is 40 years old, and well-insulated.I keep the house temperature around 18 degrees Celsius, and we have electric baseboard heating. I have become acclimatized to the temperature here, and I wear a t-shirt so I won't get too hot. The cold air has been very beneficial, in that I have not caught a cold this winter, while my family back home have had two bouts of the flu. We are definitely staying here!

    19. Anonymous11:21 AM

That was my other thought, 7:42. I've experienced the tropical living room, where the wood stove was, chip the ice off the sheets bedroom upstairs and down the hall. Thought maybe people up there still heated with wood, thought that certainly wouldn't be the case for the Palin monstrosity mansion.

I bet Sarah knows all the 'still-mysterious snowmachiner(s)'. Bristol and Daily Mail showed that Tripp was suited up to go out that night. He has been riding at night for years, it would be what they do. You can find Tripp on Patheos and the Instagram where he loves riding. There is a movie where he is doing donuts on the frozen lake. It must have been a warm winter when the ice was hard.

There are no 'mystery snowmachiners', there are only hidden snowmachiners.

Levi likes his toys also. Didn't he consider being in Iron Dog? Levi and Bristol would be similar about Tripp being her Iron dog man and all that.

They have many disagreements but they are from the same gun culture and snow sports.

Levi may also know who the 'mystery snowmachiners' are. He probably knows what Tripp did that night and thinks nothing about Tripp riding with his grandpapa. Levi probably knew all about the Brawl when they crashed the party in Anchorage.

I think he just doesn't want to say anything.

It would be best if he and Dakota can talk soon. Dakota is fine with guns, he may not feel the same with the ATV machines. In any event, Dakota needs to know what the Palins are hiding. If anyone keeps things from a guy trying to see his daughter for the first time, that is not good. Dakota's learning about being a parent and how to care for a baby.

He is accustomed to farm animals. This has whole new dimensions. Like a baby has grandparents. If either of them drink and drive, could the baby be in danger?

I doubt if Dakota knows a lot about a nursing mother and baby. He has a lot on his plate.

How the Obamas Taught Us What Family Values Really Mean

...In a 2011 Father's Day speech, the president said: "That's what being a parent is all about — those precious moments with our children that fill us with pride and excitement for their future, the chances we have to set an example or offer a piece of advice, the opportunities to just be there and show them that we love them." Looking at photos of the president and his daughters then and now makes me reflect on the passing of time and my warm relationship with my own dad. Like Obama, he might have more gray hair, but my appreciation for him hasn't changed.

On Second Thought: Episode 8 – The Iron Pup Can Wait July 16, 2012 by Bristol Palin
    http://www.patheos.com/blogs/bristolpalin/2012/07/on-second-thought-episode-8-the-iron-pup-can-wait/

That’s why I wanted Tripp to race in the Iron Pup. Snow machines have always been a part of Palin life and are a part of my most fun memories.
But in spite of our mishaps and dramatics, we loved snow machining. Not only because they were fun, but because we wanted to be like Dad!
Dad is a four time winner of the Iron Dog – an impressive feat since it’s the world’s longest snow machine race through the most remote and rugged terrain in Alaska.
Tripp, of course, had no idea how much I wanted him to race, and he was having none of it. As disappointed as I was, I realize that sometimes you have to let a kid be a kid.
He’ll have his whole life to snow machine, go to the Iron Dog, and to follow in Dad’s sled tracks.
    The Iron Pup can wait.
