Bill Clinton explains why his wife would be the best choice to elect to the White House.

You know sometimes Bill Clinton can be an albatross around Hillary's neck, but other times he can be the best surrogate that anybody could hope to have on their side.

55 comments:

  1. I've never liked Bill. Ever. But I love Hillary. (And so does my 9 year old daughter.) I was a bit miffed at Hillary for several years, for staying with Bill. To me, he's a sleazy politician, who thinks he's all that. I do agree with you on him being a good surrogate, if, and only if, he can remember that this is not about him. He's not the one anymore. He's there to support her. Just like she supported him, too many times to count. The man should be grateful she stood by his side. I better stop before I write anything else that might be considered less than kind.
We're all in for Hillary here. Even the husband, who told me weeks ago he'd already decided who he's voting for in November.

I like Bill. And Hillary. And he is absolutely correct, but it will all get lost in his blowup at BLM the other day. Watch the RNC use that footage against Hillary should she win the nomination. Their hatred of this family knows no bounds, and we've seen how evil they have been to the Obamas, a loving, caring, devoted family if there ever was one.

Those people were so rude I'm surprised that Clinton was able to be as nice as he was to them. I'd have had them removed from my event after causing such an interruption. That, and it's been proven that you can't blame the crime bill for increased minority incarceration, period, it was a trend that was well established prior to the passing of the crime bill.

These people just wanted some attention and wanted to play victim.

They were wrong, and they were rude and he was pretty darn calm about the entire unfortunate incident.

Bill Maher Sets Sarah Palin’s Mental Illness To Music And Creates An Amazing Rap

Bill Maher took Sarah Palin unhinged rambling during speeches for Donald Trump and set it to music. The result was a track that could change rap forever.

Maher introduced the clip by destroying the myth that Sarah Palin is helpful to Donald Trump, “She did help in Iowa. He lost there. He lost Alaska. Why does he keep using Sarah Palin? She’s like that Billy Bass toy. The novelty’s worn off. We can’t remember why it was fun to begin with, and yet it keeps talking. And quite frankly, it looks like it’s on meth. It really does.”

The Real Time host said that she looks more unhinged that even she has in the past, and that she has been rhyming things in recent months. So Maher’s show turned her rhymes into a rap.

It appears that Donald Trump is gaming social media with a paid marketing campaign. Instead of running ads like every other candidate, Trump has paid for thousands of bot accounts that retweet his messages. When Donald Trump feels slighted by someone in the media or Ted Cruz, he unleashes the fake accounts to retweet his message and change the media coverage of his campaign.

...The Republican frontrunner is pulling a scam. It turns out that even Donald Trump’s Twitter power is a fraud. As the media scrutiny increases, Donald Trump’s tricks and gimmicks are beginning to be exposed. It’s common sense that the most hated candidate in modern presidential campaign history would need to buy followers and fake his social media popularity.

Donald Trump is faking it, and the best news of all is that the American people have caught on.

WHO IS INVOLVED WITH CREATING THE 2016 DEMOCRATIC SUPERDELEGATE HIT LIST?

DO YOU THINK THE BERNIE SANDERS CAMPAIGN IS INVOLVED? WHO IS TAD DEVINE?

    Tad Devine - Wikipedia
He currently is the chief strategist for Bernie Sanders' 2016 presidential campaign.

    NPR:

Sanders Supporter Creates Superdelegate 'Hit List'; Superdelegates Not Amused

Superdelegates have been hearing from Sanders supporters for months — and it's not always pleasant. Akilah Ross Ensley is with the Young Democrats of America, and she's a superdelegate, who plans to support Clinton. She has to check her professional Facebook page several times a day to deal with all the messages and posts.

"You should be ashamed of yourself," Ensley reads from a recent Facebook message she received. "Maybe you will do some soul searching and have some integrity and think about the decisions you're making and its implications."...

Ensley said she's been called names, and there have been expletives.

"They said, you know, you should go to hell," said Ensley, describing another message. "How dare you vote against your own interests as an African-American woman. I expected you would be smarter than that."

When Clinton-backing super delegate Joyce Elliott heard she was on, what at the time was called the Superdelegate Hit List, she was taken aback.

"That is, that is very interesting," Elliott said after laughing uncomfortably. "As far as I know, this is probably only the second time I've been on a hit list, and the other one was not pleasant."

Elliott is a state senator in Arkansas and the last time she was on a hit list, it was over legislation she had introduced. That time, she said, the FBI got involved. This list isn't as scary. Although, she has heard from 20 or 30 Sanders supporters, trying to get her to switch.

"Some of them will tell me, you know, how awful Hillary is, therefore, I should support Bernie, and then tell me how great Bernie is," said Elliott, who has known the Clintons since the 1970s. "And that's the kind of thing I think that is not helpful."

For Ken Martin, the chairman of the Minnesota Democratic Party, the flow of messages is constant, 20 a day, he said. His state went for Sanders in its caucuses, and the pressure to switch from Clinton to Sanders is intense.

"Someone received my cell phone number, and they posted that, and so I'm getting calls on my personal cell phone from people all over the country," Martin said....

(IS IS BERNIE SANDERS’S CHIEF CAMPAIGN STRATEGIST TAD DEVINE INVOLVED WITH BERNIE SANDERS’S STALKERS HARASSING SUPERDELEGATES?)

    NPR continued-
Tad Devine, a senior adviser to Sanders' campaign, was actually involved in the creation of superdelegates, as a way to get party officials more involved in selecting the Democratic nominee.

"That was always done with the understanding that the voters would determine the outcome of this process, and I think they'll do it this time," Devine said back in February when the superdelegate controversy was flaring up after the New Hampshire primary.

Hillary Clinton Is Gaslighting Bernie Sanders and It Is Abusive

Hillary Clinton shares a common trait with Donald Trump, establishment media, and mental abusers. That trait is gaslighting.

According to the basic Wikipedia definition, gaslighting is a form of mental abuse wherein “information is twisted or spun, selectively omitted to favor the abuser, or false information is presented” by an abusive person in order to manipulate the accuser into questioning reality. Most commonly, the technique is used by abusers to outright deny any past wrongdoing when confronted for past behavior.

...For starters, Clinton used the 20 children killed in Sandy Hook as a launch pad for attacking Sanders on gun control, which ended up blowing up in her face. She also hinted that Bernie Sanders was a fake Democrat, who was unqualified to run for president. Attacking Sanders apparently wasn’t enough, as Clinton also lobbed patronizing shots at his supporters, saying she felt “sorry” for young people voting for Sanders who “don’t do their own research.”

Furthermore, at the most recent Democratic debate, Clinton accused Sanders of siding with anti-immigrant “minutemen” militias and suggested he was popular with the Koch Brothers. Before that, she tried to claim he was against the auto bailout for Michigan workers during the debate in Flint.

Of course, Sanders, the longest-serving independent member of Congress with 32 years of public service under his belt, had no choice to respond to Clinton’s most recent charge that he was unqualified. Sen. Sanders suggested Clinton was unqualified to hold the nation’s highest office, given her support for the Iraq War, which he called “the worst foreign policy blunder in U.S. history,” along with her support of free trade agreements like the Panama deal that enabled tax haven abuses, and for her willingness to take campaign money from Wall Street.

Clinton supporters started the hashtag #HillarySoQualified to boast of the former Secretary of State’s qualifications in response to Sanders’ statement, which backfired tremendously as it was hijacked by Sanders supporters criticizing Clinton’s record. Given the failure of Clinton’s attacks, she had no choice but to abandon her strategy and “take the high road” in an effort to reclaim the narrative, conveniently ignoring her own previous statements.

But Clinton isn’t alone in her use of gaslighting.

Bernie Sanders invited himself to the Vatican?

And at first, he didn’t correct reporters who suggested he would be meeting with the pope.

What? The man who would be leader of the free world was invited by the Pope. Well that is what he led people to believe and he wouldn't lie to us, would he?

    New York Post-
Bernie Sanders boasted on Friday that he was invited to a conference at the Vatican, but an official there said he forgot to mention who extended the invitation — himself.

Margaret Archer, president of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, said it was clear Sanders wanted to exploit the group’s gathering for political purposes.

“Sanders made the first move, for the obvious reasons,” she told Bloomberg News.

“I think in a sense he may be going for the Catholic vote, but this is not the Catholic vote and he should remember that and act accordingly — not that he will.”

Sanders, whose foreign-policy experience has been under attack by Hillary Clinton, said he was “very excited” about being invited to the meeting — which will also be attended by a pair of US-hating Latin American presidents.

And at first, he didn’t correct reporters who suggested he would be meeting with the pope.

But Vatican officials said no visit was planned, which he later acknowledged.

Archer said that while she “quite liked” Sanders’ policies, his failure to contact her first was a breach of protocol.

“The president of the academy organizing this event has not been contacted, with monumental discourtesy,” she said of herself.

Sanders, she added, made the first move several days ago...

The conference will take place in a patrician villa in Vatican City on April 15 and 16 — days before the April 19 primary in New York.

Michael Shank of the Sanders campaign denied there was a rift, and provided The Post with a copy of an invitation dated March 30 from Monsignor Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, the chancellor of the academy — who called Archer a liar.

“This is not true and she knows it. I invited him with her consensus,” said Sorondo, who is Archer’s boss.

    1. From the first link: just who's advice will Hillary listen to and follow? (last paragraphs)

"People are starting to wake up to what our election process looks like. We are not a democracy, even though we keep trying to push that colonially all around the world."

If you don't believe Rosario Dawson, a recent Princeton University study came to the same conclusion -- and even The New Yorker couldn't spin it. This is an oligarchy, and the 1% have names and addresses. But the Koch brothers and their "dark money" are the provincial tip of a global iceberg.

Groups like the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderberg Group have a much bigger footprint.

If we want to beat them, we better know how they operate. The good news is that good people are shining spotlights into the shadows, and we can see which candidates are lurking, getting their strings pulled:

When the Council on Foreign Relations opened a new headquarters in Washington, DC, in 2009, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave the opening address:

"It's good to have an outpost of the Council right here down the street from the State Department. We get a lot of advice from the Council, so this will mean I won't have as far to go to be told what we should be doing and how we should think about the future."

      Delete
    2. And from the second link:

... because it's "good television," see. Chris Matthews wasn't trying to undermine Trump's campaign. He loves it. Hell, MSNBC and the other networks give the guy so much free media that his spending on that front has been minuscule to date. Trump doesn't need TV commercials. The news shows are his commercials, and every time he says something that would make a pit viper vomit, he just gets more air time and another bump in the polls. Meanwhile, the networks get their ratings and advertising dollars. Good television.

His assumed general election opponent, Hillary Clinton, may not be 40 miles of bad road in the manner of Mr. Trump, but she is no prize, and that is why the media prizes her. She is the God of Unforced Errors, and that also makes for "good television." Clinton, it seems, absolutely must say whatever will make the current crowd before her happy.

She saw Sanders in her rear-view mirror and recast herself as some sort of Occupy-esque progressive while cashing Citibank checks, and then invoked 9/11 to justify accepting that filthy money. She called Nancy Reagan an AIDS activist, a statement so absurd that it stopped clocks in a 30-mile radius, because she was talking to the Reagan crowd. She went before the AIPAC conference and sounded like a neoconservative Genghis Khan on the warpath. Anything to please the crowd, until the next crowd.

      Unquote.

...Before we go any further here, since this is where our political discourse is right now, nothing said here means that the Rude Pundit won't vote for either Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton because to vote for the Republican is nation-destroying insanity and to not vote at all is a bullshit bourgeois indulgence that you can go fuck yourself with. Are we good? Fuck it if we're not...

This feeling. Frankly, the Rude Pundit doesn't like either Sanders or Clinton. He can't explain it. He thinks they'd both be perfectly fine company for a beer, so it's not personal. But maybe he just got used to elections where he felt passionately in favor of a candidate, even, yes, John Kerry. Oh, sure, it's easy to feel passionately opposed to Republicans. They make that shit easy. Start an unnecessary war. Choose a rank idiot as your running mate. Be Donald Trump. It's so easy to oppose and it's so much harder to support.

One test that's useful in any situation is the "What if it was a Republican that did this thing that a Democrat has done?" Oh, sure, we'd like to believe that if, say, a Republican president had gotten a blow job in the Oval Office from an intern and then lied under oath about it, we'd think that his impeachment was as much a bullshit exercise as it was for Bill Clinton. We hope that Democratic members of Congress wouldn't have lost their minds the same way that Republicans did then. (And, let's be honest, some Democrats jumped on the impeachment bandwagon gleefully.)

This ain't about policies as much as it's about ethics and competence.
