SarahPAC quarterly filing is out.

So according to the end of year filing SarahPAC took in $950,966 last year, spent $1,362,059, and ended the year with $380,963 on hand.

Now we have the first quarterly report of this year in which we learn that the PAC started with that $380,963.17, brought in an additional  $135,038.27, and spent $248,425.75, leaving only $267,575.69 cash on hand as of March 31, 2016.

Not exactly fiscally responsible are they?

As usual the bulk of the money went to various kinds of "consultants" including old favorites Grey Strategies, Northstar Strategies, and Timothy Crawford (The guy behind SarahPAC.)

All of that came to a whopping $99,375.

Postage and direct mail was another biggie.

Postage was $23,147 while Direct Mail was $33,273, with a combined total of $56,420. Give or take a few pennies.

It seemed that somebody at SarahPAC remembered at the last minute that they were supposed to be a political PAC so at the end of the month there were a bunch of donations to various candidates, with only one at the beginning of the month, all of which totaled a rather pathetic $24,000.

Carol Ryan and Marilyn Lane of Wasilla are also both apparently still on the payroll, so whatever "part time clerical" work they provide must still be worth something to Palin.

Though not that much because all told Carol Ryan only brought in $6,825 for the three months and Marilyn Lane about $6,686.

From appearances it is clear that SarahPAC is trying to trim the fat, but not nearly enough as each pay period they still spend substantially more than they bring in.

To say the PAC is drying up is an understatement, and it certainly helps to explain why Palin is kissing Donald Trump's ass so hard and shopping around a judge show that she is criminally under qualified to host.

In short, she is desperate.

And with her husband's medical bills, her son's legal fees, and her daughter fighting a court battle over custody of her newest tax write off, the desperation in the Palin household must now be all but overwhelming.

On another IM thread, I stated SarahPAC made no contributions to other candidates -- MY MISTAKE. She claims to have given $19,000 to candidates; her detailed filing names them.

Here are some interesting notes from the filing:
    -- 3/14/16; Hyatt Regency, Orlando; $365
    -- 2/4/16; limo company, DC; $881
-- 1/18/16; Outback Steakhouse, Clive Iowa; meals, $279
-- 1/19/2016; Outback Steakhouse, Clive IA; meals, $164
    -- 1/19/2016; Sheraton, Des MOines, IA; $300
    -- Lots of airfare charges
-- The usual payments to her two "part-time clerical"

So -- looks as though the Trump campaign didn't pick up a penny of her expenses.

Meanwhile, the Scottsdale AZ house is still on the market, sucking up utilities, upkeep, security, homeowner's association fees, and property taxes.

Isn't the whole point of sarapac just to afford Palin restaurants, hotels and travel (private jets in good times) while she builds up her brand?

That and supporting her entourage, including the postage trolls.
And I know it isn't fashionable in these parts to mention MALOE, but she called another one: the payments to CareMare were cut back from their previously levels. If the cut backs kicked in on 3/1, as we were told, look for future reports to list even smaller payments.
Looks like a big bunch of people might be looking for actual jobs soon in Wasilla. Maybe Target is hiring.

My experience with Outback - it is very expensive for a medium grade meal. The menu is a la carte, the level of noise is irritating, the service is fast and careless.

It is a chain, like McDonalds only they serve expensive steak along with very expensive sides. The point is to get you in and out fast. It is one of my least favorite places to eat and the restaurant in my town closed a few years back.

Assume a meal without appetizers is $70/person. Add a bottle of wine and a tip and you are up there. I would assume the meal on the 18th was for 3 at most 4 people (most likely 3 though) and the meal on the 19th was at best for 2 people.

Tacky Sarah would think it was a high end place. I personally hate the place.

Outback, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Chili's, Friday's any of these chain places aren't even worth spending a dollar at.

You will never get great food at a chain.

Anchorage has amazing local dining and we actually do have one place in Wasilla, The Grape Tap, that has incredible food and a wine list to die for. Turkey Red in Palmer rocks as well, with seasonal selections and locally sourced meats and veggies.

I did notice that Bristol even did an Instagram photo from Suite 100 in Anchorage, which is a nice local place still trying to find its footing but has some decent food at a decent price, so at least she's not always eating at Outback!

Legal fees for Track and Bristol must have eaten up a chunk of their personal dollars, not to mention Todd's surgeries and hospital stay. Even with the legacy health insurance bestowed upon past Governors, there is no such thing as a policy without a deductible or co-pays, I'd expect they got hit for at least $30 grand for the amount not covered by her insurance.

I have a feeling that Bristol was asked to sell her old home and downsize so that Mom and Dad could recoup the money they lent her to purchase it and so that Bristol could make a little "walking around cash".

Plus, a lot of their personal cash is tied up in the white elephant that they can't sell down in AZ. They paid 1.6 million cash, and will most likely have to mark it down to that again in order to sell and gain some liquidity. I have a notion that her current pre-tax net worth is no where near the 12 million it was in 2010.

All signs point to this family being as poor as a bunch of white trash lottery winners that squandered their payout by 2020.

Bear Woman, we do have a newer native care center here in Wasilla, however they are mostly primary care and not a full service hospital, although it was a pretty big deal when they opened and saved some people a trip to AK for basic services.

Benteh Nuutah Valley Native Primary Care Center

Todd was too jacked up to be cared for there and I guess since they got him to Mat-Su and stabilized him there that he just decided to stay. A lot of Native people don't choose to do any of the Native hospitals if they can afford another choice.

No, the Scottsdale, AZ, house has not sold. Been on the market 115 days. The original asking price of $2.5 million has been slightly reduced to $2.375 million. The Palin's paid $1,7 million for it in 2011. Previously it has sold for as little as $800K -- 2010 when someone picked it up out of foreclosure.

      Go to this website:
      http://www.zillow.com/homes/for_sale/Scottsdale-AZ/8037192_zpid/54346_rid/2000000-2500000_price/7099-8874_mp/any_days/33.909175,-111.392785,33.427429,-112.285424_rect/10_zm/2_p/?3col=true

Check the price history and other details. Here's an interesting comment:

      -- quote
Among Pinnacle Peak homes, this home is 203.2% more expensive than the midpoint (median) home, and is priced 14.2% more per square foot.

Sarah Palin will attend the Republican National Convention this summer – whether she’s on the guest list or not.

In a new interview with the Associated Press, the former vice presidential candidate and all-around pot-stirrer said she’ll be in Cleveland for the event, although she might have to “invite myself” since she believes the leaders at the RNC are “afraid of what I would say.”

“I can’t see any of them inviting me,” she said....

To the AP, Palin reiterated the sentiment, saying, “I’ve had to deal with the political machinery my whole career” and deeming some establishment leaders “snakes.” ...

Important to note that SarahPAC is sitting on a lot of unpaid bills. The 'debts and obligations' line on the financial report should not read $0.

The only regular payments made in March were for Harris Media (internet fundraising and mgmt) and Aristotle (company that handles the PACs financial data). And there were only 2 payments to Aristotle during the period so they could be behind on those payments as well. None of her 'consultants' were paid for March.

Looks like most of the consultants got paid 3X during the quarter. Most got 2 paydays in Feb, early and late. That is not unusual with this PAC.

But it does look like some saw modest pay cuts. Crawford went from 11K to 10K per month. Interesting the "clerks" had huge expense reimbursements in March, way out of scale to all prior years. Looks like they each got a 3K bonus along with typical supply type expenses.

Also interesting that the law firm no longer is receiving the monthly retainer. Wonder when that stopped????

RAM did not get paid this year, we knew she had a new job. Not sure who else is missing.

    O/T but worth the listen:

Former 'Religious Right' Republican to Obama: 'You're going to be vindicated'

    ...

“As a former religious right activist, Sir, who did his best to stop Dems from being elected 30 years ago, I’m so glad I got a chance to vote for you twice. Thank you for seven and a half wonderful years where you kept balance and kindness in spite of everything thrown at you. You’re a great president. History is on your side, Sir. You’re going to be vindicated and maybe sooner than you think.”

In conclusion, Schaeffer adds no current candidate will be able to measure up to President Obama.

I recall a very old SNL skit in which a character offered to jump into some hillbilly's outhouse pit for a small sum which the owners gleefully paid just to watch the disgusting spectacle. While they laughed and laughed at the fool in the shit pit, he climbed out, parked himself in a chair on their porch and told them it was going to cost them $500 for him to leave.

I cannot imagine anyone being stupid enough to donate even a wooden nickel to Sarah Palin to spend as she chooses. SarahPAC should become the "poster child" of one of the main things that are wrong with political money raising in this country. My advice to anyone wanting to make a political contribution: donate to the party of your choice or to the candidate of your choice but don't waste your money on any "superPACS," especially on Sarah Palin's superscam.

Otherwise, 20% or more of your money is being wasted, and in the case of SarahPAC, it looks like closer to 80% of your money is being wasted.

Hell, she could legally pay Todd or kids just for supervising her meds.

I still think they are money laundering from Todd's "business". I doubt the FEC checks to see if the donors are even alive. All they need is a phone book listing and say they were sent the money in cash.

She spent over $57 grand with HSP Direct on fundraising materials and postage to raise $138 grand.

Not a functional business plan, spending 40% of your income to actually earn that income, and the fundraising expenditures are running ever closer to the income figures each quarter, so soon, income and fundraising fees will meet. Then SarahPAC will pay a final payment to those it has been supporting since its inception and the doors will close. It will most likely happen at the end of this election cycle, as it is apparent that this model is not sustainable, especially with her rapidly waning visibility and negative association quotient.

Her husband has no medical bills: He is 1/16 Native so we- the rest of the taxpayer- are covering his bills.

We know Todd is eligible to use Native healthcare but don't have any reason to think that he does. All indications are that the Palins have their own health insurance. Seriously?! How can you even imagine Todd Palin wouldn't have private health insurance and would use something akin to Medicaid?

My prediction for her next quarterly filing for period 4/1/16 thru 6/30/16:

    Receipts: $77,000
    Expenses: $220,000
    Ending cash on hand: $144,000

    For period ending 12/31/16:
Broke, in the hole with ending cash on hand around -$175,000

I'm no fan of Outback Steaks. The one and only time we ate there, I got the worst case of food poisoning.

One thought about Sarah's big tab with them. They may be like the Post Office selling postal money orders as a way for Sarah to launder some of those donations. She might be buying gift certificates which may be an acceptable form of payment for somebody on her list of people she has to pay. The person receiving the gift certificates could use them to entertain groups, so it's like found money. just a thought

My one experience at an Outbacks was that the steak was too tough to cut. Didn't get sick because I couldn't eat it.

There's nothing to support the idea they've used postal money orders to get cash out of SarahPAC. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. All the SarahPAC financials are available for you to examine and see for youself. Do it.
