Trump supporters send death threats to Colorado GOP chairman.

Courtesy of Think Progress:

Donald Trump supporters are angry that all 34 of Colorado’s delegates went to Republican presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). And they’re taking it out on the state’s GOP chairman.

Colorado GOP Chairman Steve House started receiving death threats from Trump supporters on Sunday, according to a local Denver ABC News affiliate.

Angry voters are complaining that the state’s multi-step system of caucuses — which allows party activists to select the state’s presidential nominating delegates that will represent them at the national convention in Cleveland this summer — unfairly shut out Trump. The Republican frontrunner himself has also argued the system was a “crooked deal” and that millions of his supporters weren’t able to have their voices heard. Other states hold primaries and caucuses that give voters the opportunity to decide who they want on as their party’s nominee.

House’s telephone number was made public on the internet and, over the past several days, he has received more than 2,000 calls from people complaining about the process — including some that have threatened the safety of his family.

“Do me a favor,” read one of the threats sent to House. “Get your gun, put it in your mouth, pull the trigger, I’ll call you back in two minutes. If you can’t do that, I’m gonna send somebody over to the house and help you.”

So is this what Sarah Palin meant when she said that the people would "rise up" if Donald Trump did not get the nomination?

Sounds like they went from disgruntled voters to domestic  terrorists without missing a beat.

Welcome to Donald Trump's America kids.

We learned in 2010 (Tea Party GOTP'ers) that 2nd amendment remedies was a thing. The failed campaign of R-AZ Sharron Angle made the most public threat to other Americans.

    And here we are.

Lord have mercy on us all.

Nice. I do hope the SS isn't busy this week. These brilliant guys do know that phone calls are easily traced, right? And that making threats like this is illegal? And will land them in jail? Then how will they vote for their special Donald in November? Oh snap. Consequences...

You can see why this candidate is attractive to Palin. Remember how she inflamed the crowds with her rhetoric. Remember how much she loves doing that. This is what she craves.

I recall a story Gryphen told about his friend with his daughter fishing near Chuck Palin. Chuck tried to drive them away with threats because Gryphen's friend was catching and Chuck was not.

    Donald Trump loves it.

So does Sarah Palin, but she wishes they were doing it in her name.

  8. If Trump wanted the progress of his campaign to be independent of party rules and party activists, he should have run as an Independent.

Trump presidency will bring back sedition laws and any complaint against trump or contrary to his beliefs will lead to repercussions.

Second amendment rights folks should consider this too. Do you think he is going to let you keep your gun if he gets mad at you.

First and second amendments are tied together.

I don't condone threats and violence, however the GOP is reaping what they sowed, they created this violent environment.

It was fine as long as the threats were aimed at Democrats and Obama, now they are gunning for Republicans and they have a problem with it.

Just wait until Cleveland burns, of course it will be Obama's fault.

Herr Donald keeps telling us how smart he is, what a great deal maker he is, blah blah.

In reality, he is stupid !! Even if he didn't have the time to read the RULES, if he is a smart as he tells us, he would have hired someone in the campaign to do so.

This is just another example of how unqualified he is to be president. His cabinet and advisers would be as ignorant as he is.

    1. Exactly. How hard could it have been to figure out the rules if Ted Cruz could do it?

Drumpf is just a whiney thin skinned sore loser. A spoiled brat that can't stand it when he doesn't get his way.

The death threats are not a surprise. I don't have much sympathy for the GOP/TP since they didn't speak up when threats and vicious verbal attacks were leveled at President Obama and his family for the last 8 years. The caucuses in CO and now Wyoming are nothing but a way to suppress votes. Who needs gererymandering to control the vote when you can have a caucus snd handpick who you want.

Did Sarah Palin quit again like she did as a mother, wife, human being, governor, 2012 and 2016 presidential candidate? So because Sarah Palin is not going to Wyoming will Trump lose the Wyoming delegates?

Breaking: Trump Campaign Just Made Unexpected Announcement About Sarah Palin That Will Surprise Fans

As of early Friday, it appears that when Wyoming’s Republican Party gathers for its convention on Saturday, there will no one representing the campaign of Republican candidate Donald Trump, effectively surrendering the contest to Sen. Ted Cruz.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had been scheduled to attend the event in Casper, Wyo., but on Thursday, the Republican Party of Wyoming announced she wasn’t coming.

“The Donald Trump campaign has informed the Wyoming Republican Party that Sarah Palin, the scheduled surrogate speaker for the presidential candidate, will not be attending the State GOP Convention,” the release said. “Former Gov. Palin was scheduled to speak to the convention delegates Saturday morning between 10-11 a.m. along with presidential candidate Ted Cruz and John Kasich surrogate Gov. Butch Otter of Idaho.”

“The Trump campaign has not indicated whether another one of Trump’s surrogates will be in Casper this Saturday morning,” the release added.

No reason has been given by the Trump campaign as to why Palin will not be present at the convention.

Wyoming will select 23 of its 29 delegates Saturday at the state convention. Even before Palin’s withdrawal, Cruz was favored to win most if not all of the delegates....
