Both George Bush's refuse to weigh in on 2016 presidential race.

Courtesy of Yahoo News:

The Bush family is keeping quiet on the 2016 presidential election.

Neither of the former presidents – George H.W. Bush or his son George W. Bush – will endorse a candidate for presidency – including Donald Trump – PEOPLE confirms.

"President Bush has no plans to participate in or comment on the presidential campaign," Bush Jr.'s personal aide Freddy Ford told PEOPLE about the younger of the two.

Meanwhile, Bush Sr. will also steer clear of the ongoing race for the White House.

The article goes on to explain that George W. has endorsed candidates in the last five elections since he left office, but not this time around. It is also reported that they will both skip the convention.

Gee, I wonder why?

In other news John McCain has said outright that Donald Trump hurts his chances at reelection:

Publicly, John McCain insists Donald Trump will have a negligible effect on his campaign for reelection. But behind closed doors at a fundraiser in Arizona last month, the Republican senator and two-time presidential hopeful offered a far more dire assessment to his supporters.

“If Donald Trump is at the top of the ticket, here in Arizona, with over 30 percent of the vote being the Hispanic vote, no doubt that this may be the race of my life,” McCain said, according to a recording of the event obtained by POLITICO. “If you listen or watch Hispanic media in the state and in the country, you will see that it is all anti-Trump. The Hispanic community is roused and angry in a way that I've never seen in 30 years.”

I cannot say that I have an ounce of sympathy for the Bushes, The helped to create this beast and now they are afraid to get near it, nor for John McCain since he was the one who opened the door to a candidate like Trump with his introduction of Sarah Palin onto the national stage.

Watching them step away from the GOP presidential candidate whose supporters their policy decisions and anti-Washington rhetoric helped to inflame is more than a little
satisfying.

Terrifying to be sure, but also a little satisfying.

Fuck the Bushes and McCain. But at least they despise Trump.

That's why I don't put a Bernie sticker on my car where I live; suspect the car would be keyed. What is this country coming to? Civil war? Was that the first viral-going scrimmage?

      66gardeners -
I'm not a big proponent of lawsuits. In fact, I have no plans to sue the driver who hit my car from behind as I was sitting at a red light 2 weeks ago. My medical and repair bills will be taken care of and that's all I'm concerned about.

However, there are times I feel that legal action is most appropriate, and I think this case is definitely one of those times. Someone in the tow truck business shouldn't be IN that business if he refuses service to anyone, no less a woman with a disability.

      'Christian', my ass!

5:40 my sentiments exactly. I have never sued anyone, but in this case I feel it would be appropriate. This woman's safety was put at risk.

    7. This comes from allowing religion to meddle in politics. Plus the conservative Supreme Court upholding bigots and their refusal to respect others. I hope this woman sues the two truck driver and he lose his truck, plus goes into debt. Bankrupt his sorry ass.

I'd love to see McCain lose for misc reasons and especially after standing by Palin no matter what all this time. He thinks he's being so noble, but his version of being noble involves having to lie about what he knows in his heart about her. It does feel good to know he's worried and he can't outright support Trump and be noble once again. I had actually expected him to do it--I really don't think the comment Trump made about him not being a true war hero is what's stopping McCain.

Speaking of Arizona and that brings to mind immigration and that brings to mind Cinco de Mayo, Trump's tweet and accompanying pic of his taco bowl is so embarrassing. His idea of Mexican food is American Mex food. And he says he loves Hispanics in the tweet. He still doesn't get when to use the word "Latino" and when to use the word "Hispanic." And if he knew why May 5th is a day of celebration, he'd have chosen the word "Mexicans."

What continues to stun me are the likes of said outsiders holding up Reagan as the patron saint. He started "trickle down economics" that eventually got us here. I was only in my twenties and knew THAT was a pile of crap, yet they adore him. Go figure.
