Boy did Hillary Clinton give Donald Trump a shellacking in her San Diego speech today or what?

You can read the entire transcript here.

This was my favorite portion:

Donald Trump’s ideas aren’t just different – they are dangerously incoherent. They’re not even really ideas – just a series of bizarre rants, personal feuds, and outright lies.

He is not just unprepared – he is temperamentally unfit to hold an office that requires knowledge, stability and immense responsibility.

This is not someone who should ever have the nuclear codes – because it’s not hard to imagine Donald Trump leading us into a war just because somebody got under his very thin skin. We cannot put the security of our children and grandchildren in Donald Trump’s hands.

We cannot let him roll the dice with America.

This is a man who said that more countries should have nuclear weapons, including Saudi Arabia.

This is someone who has threatened to abandon our allies in NATO – the countries that work with us to root out terrorists abroad before they strike us at home.

He believes we can treat the U.S. economy like one of his casinos and default on our debts to the rest of the world, which would cause an economic catastrophe far worse than anything we experienced in 2008.

He has said that he would order our military to carry out torture and the murder of civilians who are related to suspected terrorists – even though those are war crimes.

He says he doesn’t have to listen to our generals or our admirals, our ambassadors and other high officials, because he has – quote – “a very good brain.”

He also said, “I know more about ISIS than the generals do, believe me.” You know what? I don’t believe him.

Exactly! And THIS is why this 2016 election is no joke, despite the fact the Republicans nominated one to represent them.

Speaking of that joke here is how it responded to the speech:
Damn that is a weak ass response! And he even misspelled teleprompter!

I have not always enjoyed Hillary's speeches, but this one was a home run, and I even found myself standing up to watch it. I swear this was the very first time that I can remember feeling truly inspired while listening to Hillary speak.

If this is who is going to be standing up for us in November I am feeling very good about our chances in the election, and the presidency that follows.

I even got a little choked up when she said "that's what honor looks like" when talking about the SEALS getting women and children out of the compound when we went after bin Laden and comparing that to what Trump has said he'd do to the families of our enemies.

That was a lovely and deserved beat down that she gave the Donald!
Now,she needs to give a real deal press conference/interview and answer some questions.
"Those of us who cover the Hillary Clinton campaign would love to have a press conference, even if she insulted us," said Nancy Cordes, a CBS reporter. "She hasn't done one for months and months. She's just not comfortable in that setting."
Cordes specifically mentioned the State Department's report that came out last week that found Clinton's use of a private email server violated federal standards. "There were lots of us on the campaign trail who were dying to ask her questions about it, and she avoided all of us," Cordes said. "She did a couple of quick call-ins to some cable shows, but that was it. She’s just not interested in getting the kinds of tough questions out there on the trail."
    Avoiding press conferences.
    Avoiding debates.
    Reviewing questions before events.
    White noise machine.
Not releasing wall Street speeches to public.
That was all tough and bold today standing in front of a phalanx of US flags, but Hillary,ya gotta stand in front of a real "interview".
    Definition of interview
    1
: a formal consultation usually to evaluate qualifications (as of a prospective student or employee)
    2
a : a meeting at which information is obtained (as by a reporter, television commentator, or pollster) from a person
b : a report or reproduction of information so obtained.

    9. No independents in CA are not voting for Trump. The Republican Party doesn't allow independents to vote in their primary. So no they aren't voting for Bernie, Hillary or Donald. Maybe they don't know they can request a Democratic ballot or they don't care if they vote for Bernie. Besides these are only for mail in ballots. We don't have early voting.

    10. Anonymous3:55 AM

The independents in CA aren't necessarily registering either Democrat or Republican. Bernie was pushing hard to change the rules to make it easier for people to register, and extend the deadline, but guess what, not gonna happen. And the mail in votes are breaking YUGE for HRC.

I couldn't stop watching. It was pretty damn mesmerizing. I was loving it and felt very pleased to finally hear the things she said. I was thrilled to see her make that speech where she did and stay so poised and calm when saying things about Trump that privately she must have so enjoyed seeing written down.

I was so glad she made that kind of speech now instead of waiting until the convention and debates. Trump has had no one countering him since Cruz and the other two dropped out. He's been getting away with too much.

Oh, and I really don't think it was an accident that Paul Ryan came out in support of Trump while Hillary was making that speech.

Ryan came out in support of Trump today PRIOR to Hillary actually making that speech!

I have a difficult time believing the various Republicans that are publically indicating they will support and vote for Trump.

We'll never know (and neither will Trump!) how they'll actually cast their votes due to not being in the booth with them.

Trump is not a team player and will nail any of the Republicans in Congress to the wall if they don't follow his lead or agree with him. They are going to be in big, big trouble IF Trump is elected!

From a few things I've read lately, I think Ryan et al are prepared to publicly support Trump because he is most likely going to ask Gingrich to be his VP. As Trump's Campaign Director said -- Trump views the Presidency as a "Chairman of the Board" and will get his VP to do the work. Gingrich already has expressed an interest in accepting the position, and his fellow GOPers will be only too happy to have him running things.

In her speech, Clinton was able to characterize Trump as a clueless amateur, “There’s no risk of people losing their lives if you blow up a golf-course deal. But it doesn’t work like that in world affairs. Just like being interviewed on the same episode of “60 Minutes” as Putin was, is not the same thing as actually dealing with Putin. So the stakes in global statecraft are infinitely higher and more complex than in the world of luxury hotels. We all know the tools Donald Trump brings to the table – bragging, mocking, composing nasty tweets – I’m willing to bet he’s writing a few right now.”

Clinton referred to Trump as a know nothing, “Donald Trump says we shouldn’t have done the deal. We should have walked away. But that would have meant no more global sanctions, and Iran resuming their nuclear program and the world blaming us. So then what? War? Telling the world, good luck, you deal with Iran? Of course Trump doesn’t have answers to those questions. Donald Trump doesn’t know the first thing about Iran or its nuclear program. Ask him. It’ll become very clear, very quickly.”

But what’s really difficult to fathom is that America could be led by a fascist dictator like Trump. Someone who’s blatantly and shamelessly attacked the likes of immigrants, minorities, women, the disabled, veterans, war heroes, world leaders and the Pope. An attention-starved thin-skinned narcissist who’s run an insult-laden campaign built on bombast, bullying and false bravado. A mean-spirited, nasty, divisive, polarizing loose-cannon with an utter disdain for America’s free press, the bedrock of a democracy. A tone-deaf, self-serving, entitled megalomaniac and pathological liar who’s promised to shut the Department of Education, the Environmental Protection Agency and the IRS; withdraw from NATO; expand nukes globally; defund Planned Parenthood; punish women for getting abortions; deport 11-million immigrants; and register and ban Muslims. In short, someone who is fundamentally unqualified to be president.

Trump is so dangerous and self-destructive that he’d turn America into a domestic and international joke, similar to Italy under controversial power-hungry billionaire Silvio Berlusconi’s indictment-ending reign of greed, corruption and sleaze. Under “President Trump,” America would degenerate to its ugliest, darkest days. He would single-handedly destroy its reputation and the 240-year-old principles on which it stands.

He's so pathetic. He too has used a teleprompter. When he has a so-called serious speech, he uses one. What kills me is how the teleprompter keeps getting a raw deal. The candidates used to use printed speeches they kept looking down at. Wooden as some teleprompter speeches may be, I prefer them.

But this teleprompter remark of his is ignoring what really happened. She made a good speech--everyone has said so and Chris Matthews, who knows his stuff, said some was "exquisite" and praised the people who put the speech together. She was able to talk substantively while also trashing Trump.

Yesterday I heard people on TV saying she had to choose, that she couldn't do both. Today she did both, and very successfully.

Honestly, I am afraid for America. When Donald speak the slime slink out of the darkness. There's no room for anything good in his rhetoric. He offers no good words to heal our nation. He wants a war, or something like it because he's a business man affiliated with warmongering business men and probably hopes to make money. Somewhere in his motives is the desire to make money. I'm sure the fluffball has no real reason to be President. It's ego and fluff. Does he honestly want the best for our country? Then let him stop spewing spit and hate for minorities, and anything he thinks in his racist mind that is not American. The Republicans too are repulsive the way they are inching out of their dark holes as they see Trump gaining strength. When Hilary wins they will allow room enough to slink back into their hellholes. Apologies for the randomness of this, but it's Sarah related. Tonight after dinner I had to run by the store. As I was leaving, I got into a conversation with a nice man about hockey. He was talking about his son and teams and mentioned him playing in Alaska. I got the feeling he was trying to work in a name drop the whole time but eventually he came out with "yeah my son lived with Sarah Palin's sister when he played hockey." (like billet family by the sound of it.) He went on for another 5 minutes about how amazing and down to earth the whole family is and how his son was basically a resident at Sarah's house since everyone is apparently always over there. I really didn't say anything other than the generic "that's cool man, I'm glad your son had fun in Alaska." Awkward though.

    WorldNetDaily Begs for Money

WorldNetDaily — the right-wing conspiracy theorists best known for relentlessly pursuing the discredited idea that Barack Obama is not eligible to be president because he may not be an American citizen — is apparently in serious financial trouble.

WND editor Joseph Farah sent a letter to WND’s mailing list on June 1 admitting that WND “faces an existential threat.” Farah claims he has kept the fact that WND “is in a sizable hole” hidden from the public until now because “I have been afraid to fail.”
