Here is the video of President Obama's remarks yesterday in Orlando, Florida.

Courtesy of CNN:

President Barack Obama said grieving family members in Orlando pleaded with him Thursday to take steps to prevent further gun carnage.

"Our politics have conspired to make it as easy as possible for a terrorist or even just a disturbed individual to buy extraordinarily powerful weapons, and they can do so legally," Obama said after meeting families of victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting that took place Sunday.

"Today, once again, as has been true too many times before, I held and hugged grieving family members and parents and they asked, 'Why does keep happening?' And they pleaded that we do more to stop the carnage. They don't care about the politics. Neither do I."

This was yet another great speech. But you could once again hear the weariness and frustration in his voice over having to give what is essentially a version of the same speech that he has given multiple times in the past.

And this was after spending several hours consoling grieving families and listening to their anguished voices pleading with him to do something to keep this from happening again.

How delicious would it be for Trump to come out in support of any and all gun control law?

And then to end your day having to listen to McCain blame you for these deaths.
BTW - Trump is headed to Las Vegas and Arizona this weekend. How much should we bet that Palin shows up along the way?
Seems pretty odd if Trump starts stumping for McCain. Hell why not everyday seems like opposite day lately!

Yeah, and the New York Post (Trump endorser) has an article up today about there being a terror attack every year of Obams's presidency and how it's all on him.

I swear there are untold masses of people in this country who could benefit from a civics class. What utter BS.

little prick dicks including joe>drumpf ON putin>
"It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond," Trump said. "I have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not to mention trade and all of the other benefits derived from mutual respect." I SAY FUCK YOU dRumpf! Dick sucking benefits and human trafficking. RIGHT?
Asked what he thought of the high number of Russian journalists who have been murdered during Putin's tenure, Trump responded, “He’s running his country, and at least he’s a leader, you know unlike what we have in this country."

It's way past time we rid the nation of Donald Trump! He is an evil upon our country like no other. Other than perhaps Hilter!

Will we live under a dictatorship should Trump be elected POTUS? It looks like that to me.

He will never win the election!

In The Fight To Stop Mass Shootings, Don’t Forget The Real Crime In Orlando

This was, first and foremost, an attack on the LGBT community.

...But with all the emphasis on our well-primed fears of lone wolves taking cues from far-flung terrorist networks to bring mayhem to America, we’re losing sight of the fact that the violence we saw in Orlando is very much rooted in a homegrown hatred of the LGBT community — a hatred that sees itself redeemed every time the state passes a law that infringes on the basic constitutional rights of LGBT people, or — worse — helps implant the notion that they are less than human, and that violence toward them is permissible and forgivable.

Yes. By a self-loathing gay person who, it was later learned, had been a regular at the club and had also patronized gay dating sites. The "loyalty" to ISIS expressed in a phone call was very much an afterthought, and most of the emphasis on ISIS came from spin by the strongly anti-gay father of the shooter, who most definitely did not want to be perceived as the father of a gay son.

Home Should Not Be a War Zone

...Today, some of our politicians and the people who back them seem to promote a culture of gun ownership that does not conform with what I learned in the military.

Here at home, many of us are alarmed by the carnage. We are alarmed by loopholes that let felons and domestic abusers get hold of guns without a background check. We are alarmed that a known or suspected terrorist can go to a federally licensed firearms dealer where background checks are conducted, pass that background check, legally purchase a firearm and walk out the door.

    Now veterans are speaking out.

If those in congress refuse to do the will of the people, instead of sucking up to the NRA, then it is WAY beyond time to clean house. Throw the bums to the curb!

My heart goes out to our president for what he has to cope with in his position as comforter in chief. I can't imagine how it must tear him apart each and every time he faces this situation. I'm so grateful to have him and his deep compassion and gentle nature to do this, and yet I am sure it takes a staggering toll on his soul. There will never be another president like this man who we elected twice in landslides. I feel such pride and appreciation to have been alive during his leadership.

My father was a United Methodist minister here in the Northeast. He marched for civil rights, was ecumenical, researched every thing he said, traveling to NYC to read Bonhoffer's work at Union Theological (he took me with him, a very young girl.) When he speaks, he reminds me of my father all the time. He had a PhD from NYU and valued education and critical thinking even regarding belief. I will miss this president more that I can say. He's one of the best in my lifetime.
