New Hillary Clinton campaign ad uses Trump University to troll the Donald.

Courtesy of Politico:

The ad goes through each step: 1. Sign up at Trump University. 2. Pay for Trump University … “at the amazing price of everything you have!” And as the narrator comes to step three, the ad says “there is no step three. You won’t learn anything. It’s that easy!”

Trump University — a real estate seminar business started by Trump — is the subject of two class-action lawsuits, and a $40 million lawsuit from New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, POLITICO previously reported.

The nearly minute-and-a-half spot hits Trump for his wealth multiples times.

The ad starts with the following message in bright yellow lettering: “Donald Trump is world famous … for making a fortune … for being famous … for having a fortune.”

It concludes by saying “don’t miss this once in a lifetime chance to give your hard-earned money to a ‘billionaire.’”

I think the new strategy for dealing with Donald Trump is to say something that pisses him off enough to respond on Twitter and then use that against him as well.

Yep, works for me.

So it's said that he has been planning this presidential run for years. THIS is leadership?

I can understand that his followers are upset with the way this country has deteriorated, aren't we all, but they do not seem to realize that republicans are responsible for more than much of what has happened in this country.

If they think it's bad now, just wait until they elect the "savior" that they perceive him to be.

Ken Burns Offers Blistering Takedown Of Donald Trump In Stanford Commencement Speech

“There comes a time when I and you can no longer remain neutral, silent — we must speak up and speak out,” said Burns, who is known for historical documentaries. “For 216 years, our elections — though bitterly contested — have featured the philosophies and characters of candidates who were clearly qualified.”

“That is not the case this year,” he said, to a round of applause.

During his takedown, Burns made several stinging points without even using the candidate’s name.

“He is an insult to our history,” Burns said. A moment later, he implored: “Do not be deceived by his momentary good behavior. It is only a spoiled, misbehaving child hoping somehow to still have dessert.”

“Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism, I don’t want congrats, I want toughness & vigilance,” Drumpf tweeted.

This is the height of his arrogance: taking credit for a guess. Maybe he was informed of the possible ISIS connection via a briefing he, as the GOP presumptive nominee, may have received and went on Twitter to announce his "prediction." Wouldn't put it past him to do so. He cannot be trusted with any classified information because he cannot control his massive ego. Just his statement alone, taking a bow for his presumption, is wrong on so many levels.

Obama’s Powerful Defiant Response To Orlando Terror Attack A Must See For Every American

“This is a sobering reminder that attacks on any American, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation, is an attack on all of us, and the fundamental values of equality and dignity that define us as a country,” he said. “No act of terror will change who we are or the values that make us Americans.”

Pete Souza: photographing the real Barack Obama

Over two historic terms, official White House photographer Pete Souza has chronicled the most intimate, candid and comical moments of Barack Obama’s presidency

...Reports on Souza’s photographs tend to repeat over and over again that they show how “cool” this president is, but that word means nothing. These images tell the true story of a presidency that words have failed. After all the hate, anger, birther theories, leftist critiques, rightist critiques, and even the liberal white awe of a “cool” black dude vanishes into the babble of the past, Souza’s photographs will tell the story of a leader who was calm under fire, unfazed by office, unquenchably human, and who showed the way for all the kids who passed through his Oval Office, and millions more, to be good people, good Americans, and good citizens of the world. Will we miss the man in these pictures? Hell, yes.

Private moments helped shape Obama’s education about war

...But Obama also made time for something else, something personal. Just after 2 a.m., the president slipped away for a meeting that he had deliberately kept off his public schedule.

In a small, private room, 15 mortuary affairs soldiers waited to greet him. These were the soldiers who prepared the bodies of troops killed in battle for their trip home. To blunt the overpowering stench of death, they wore masks when they worked, burned their uniforms regularly and dabbed Vicks VapoRub under their noses.

Now that they were about to meet Obama, members of a unit used to working in the isolation of war’s grim aftermath all had the same question: Of all the soldiers in Afghanistan, why had the president asked to see them?

Discussions of war and peace in Washington often revolve around abstract questions of policy and national interest. Rarely mentioned are the human costs of war and how they weigh on a commander in chief. “It’s probably the least appreciated and most difficult part of leadership,”

"The “Durand Line issue” refers to the area along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The ethnic group that lives there are of Pashtun ethnicity. The Afghan Taliban is primarily made of Pashtun people, but it is unclear if the Mateens are Pashtun or not. Pashtuns are occasionally referred to as Pathans, or Pakhtuns.

    The Clinton University Problem

    https://jonathanturley.org/2016/06/08/the-clintons-university-problem-laureate-education-lawsuits-present-problem-for-clintons/

The scandal involves a dubious Laureate Education for-profit online college (Walden) and entails many of the common elements with other Clinton scandals: huge sums given to the Clintons and questions of conflicts with Hillary Clinton during her time as Secretary of State. There are distinctions to draw between the two stories (Trump U/Clinton U), but the virtual radio silence on the Clinton/Laureate story is surprising.

    Just sayin'.
