Sarah Palin attacks Paul Ryan for not attacking Islam in response to the Orlando nightclub attack. Even though essentially he did.

Okay get your hazmat suits on kids, cause this links to Breitbart:

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin blasted House Speaker Paul Ryan for his gutless reaction on radical Islamic terrorism — and for his criticisms of presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump on Islam — during an exclusive interview with Stephen K. Bannon on Breitbart News Sunday on SiriusXM.

Ryan has barely condemned the terrorist attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando killed 50 and landed another 53 in the hospital.

“Paul Ryan is out of touch with his constituents,” said the former GOP vice presidential candidate. “Those who have put their faith in with their sacred vote.” (Sacred vote? Does that come with a super secret decoder ring?)

Leaders like Ryan have not come up with the plan or the will to confront the threat, she said. “What is the number of lives lost before our leadership will wake up and deal with the problem?” (Inadequate gun control laws?)

“It’s a deadly ideology. It is embraced by people who lie,” she said. “They will strike again. They will continue.” (Oh she's talking about Islam. Dammit I should have guessed Islam.)

Palin then of course said that Donald Trump was right about keeping Islamic refugees out of the country, even though the Orlando shooter was born in America.

But wait, there's more:

“It is ‘We the People’ who have to educate each other, do our homework,” she said. “Then, we circle the wagons. That’s how we survive, we circle the wagons.” (Okay, I don't even have a wagon. Do you guys have a wagon? Seriously who has a wagon these days?)

“The RINOs [Republicans in Name Only], the establishment, the permanent political class — they don’t care who wins an election as long as they are protected, their pocketbook, their power, their name tag that they get to wear with a big title on it. That is their motivation. To them politics is a business. They are in it for a season, not a reason. And their season all has to do with self-protection and financial gain,” she said. ("To them politics is a business." How does this woman not overdose on irony like five times a day?)

“The rest of us — we don’t care about the money (Ha!), we don’t care about the titles, the power, the offices. No, we’re busy living our lives and raising our families and running our businesses. And we just want the best for this exceptional nation. We do want it to be great again, and that is why so many of us jumped on the Trump train.”

At the end of the article Palin characterizes Trump as, and I kid you not, "this blue collar billionaire in touch with the people."

Man I knew she would be back, but even I did not expect her to be this tightly wound.

So do you want to know the stupidest part?

Yes, I know the whole thing is stupid, but there is even something dumber.

Paul Ryan, DID condemn Islamist terrorists:

House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan, commenting on Sunday's mass shooting in Orlando, said: "As we heal, we need to be clear-eyed about who did this. We are a nation at war with Islamist terrorists."

I'm not exactly sure how much more condemning that Sarah Palin wants, perhaps she wants Ryan to tell people to start punching hijab wearing women in the face or something, but that seemed like some fairly aggressive religious intolerance to me.

Here let me end with this.

Islam did not kill those 50 or more people yesterday.

Homophobia did not rip the flesh off of more than a hundred people in a nightclub in Florida.

Terrorism did not provide the means for the worst mass shooting in America history.
These did.

It really does not matter why these people kill our fellow citizens, it matters how.

And the answer to how is that they are living in a country which fervently believes that it is everybody's right to have access to the deadliest weapons available. And if dozens, and dozens, of people die, well that is just the cost of freedom.

American style.

Isn't that a AR-15? Is Sarah holding the assault weapon that her son used? Or do they keep many around their property? What about the ammunition? Do they keep the guns and ammo according to gun safety rules?

I read the police report of the incident at the Palin residence. Not all guns were concealed at home. Where was the ammo?

Did the Wasilla police check to see if Track was following gun safety? Ammunition is a vital part of any terrorists threats. If you knew you were threatened by an empty gun and there was no ammo, that would not have the impact of a loaded gun. What exactly terrorized the girl Track was after?

An empty gun where the ammo was locked up?

I know right before the January incident Sarah and her 2 older girls passed a gun safety course. The girlfriend that hid under the bed was living with the Palins, she was like family.
She was left out of the gun safety course for some reason.

Why do the Palins leave out their guns at home and what about the ammo?

How long to get it unlocked and load the gun? No way do I believe the Palins intend to use their AR-15s and the ammunition to go hunting for moose after reading about their home and guns..
They need AK-47s just in case of an intruder or what? It makes no sense to have guns around if you have to unlock the ammo when someone suddenly comes in to get you.

AR-15 is a popular gun to keep at home. The homegrown inspired terrorist who shot all those of the LGBT community also liked the AR-15 and had plenty of ammo. Ammunition makes all the difference with any of these domestic terrorist incidents.

Terrorism is terrorism (white or Islamic). Hate is hate (white or Islamic). Murder is murder (done by so-called christians or so-called Muslims). Dead is dead (whether the victims are at a Planned Parenthood Center, mosque, church, or gay night club). It matters not who and what color or what religion the perpetrators are, it matters what was done to the victims. What is it about this simple Biblical truth that the righties are so incapable of understanding?

You read my mind Anonymous 8:59. Sarah and Todd have raised their children to be lazy, uneducated, hateful liars with a "do you know who I am" sense of entitlement.

Sarah's Heath-Menard, Heath-Palin and Heath-? spawn are trash and always will be, no matter the advantages and opportunities they are undeservedly given.

Sarah also mentioned "running our businesses". Huh? Todd doesn't fish commercially anymore and didn't he sell his interest in the Rainbow Lodge? Sarah is no longer a regular on Fox's payroll, or anywhere else, and her recent ghost-written devotional book was a dud.

Disturbed adult Track (Menard) Palin appears to be unemployed, emerging from his hideaway (provided by his parents) only long enough to beat someone up in a family brawl, give folks the finger in those "cute" photos with Jordan, or, last but not least, actually get arrested for beating up the now pregnant Jordan.

I assume Willow still cuts hair for someone else. Newly-wed Bristol has an arrangement with Dr. Jack-Me-Off and takes selfies on line pushing expensive and/or worthless products. Piper now provides child care for Bristol's several born out of wed lock children after Willow wisely escaped that trap.

By businesses perhaps Sarah means her husband Todd's prostitution business. Maybe Sarah thinks SarahPAC is a business, after all, she does treat it like her own personal bank account.

Slightly OT, but now that eight years have passed since 2008, I wonder if Dr. CBJ has any regrets or second thoughts about her own involvement in helping to perpetrate Sarah's faux pregnancy with Trig. Does Dr. CBJ really believe that Trig (especially) and this messed up, disfunctional bunch of lying grifters is better off because of her involvement, no matter how well intentioned?

"Roy Cohn, the lurking legal hit man for red-baiting Sen. Joe McCarthy, whose reign of televised intimidation in the 1950s has become synonymous with demagoguery, fear-mongering and character assassination. In the formative years of Donald Trump’s career, when he went from a rich kid working for his real estate-developing father to a top-line dealmaker in his own right, Cohn was one of the most powerful influences and helpful contacts in Trump’s life.

Over a 13-year-period, ending shortly before Cohn’s death in 1986, Cohn brought his say-anything, win-at-all-costs style to all of Trump’s most notable legal and business deals. Interviews with people who knew both men at the time say the relationship ran deeper than that—that Cohn’s philosophy shaped the real estate mogul’s worldview and the belligerent public persona visible in Trump’s presidential campaign.

“Something Cohn had, Donald liked,” Susan Bell, Cohn’s longtime secretary, said this week when I asked her about the relationship between her old boss and Trump."

IOW, both before and after the voting process, they – and no one else – are allowed to limit who may vote, and how their votes may be counted. Now it all becomes clear, no???

Sarah looking for attention and a gig on the heels of the deaths of others.

The only thing I don't agree with, on the matter of 'why' these things are increasingly happening....is that reform gun laws will fix it. New gun laws should be priority, but, the world is going crazy. There are elements of racism and bigotry and explosive anger that needs to be addressed by each one of us.

I think we need a spiritual revival to turn men's hearts and break the insanity that is happening daily. Those like Palin and the cult of nationalism don't really know the God of the Bible, they create their own version.
Sin isn't talked about. We do sin. No question about it. The crazies are getting crazier and we are all in the boiling pot. The societal problems are getting worse and no one has the gall to address that elephant in the room. People turn away because (ackk!) it might bring them to address their own sin.

It's just 'sinful' for anyone to think they are above God and kill other humans. It's sin when a Fox News female host argues with her guest because he brings up gun reform. It's sin when the GOP and gun nuts won't budge and money and power is the motivational force that keeps them rich and the rest lying in a morgue waiting to be identified. That is wicked pre-conceived sin and if these guys would open their bibles a bit more, could their cold cold hearts be convicted. We are living in wicked times. And it those cultist christianists who are trying to pull the wool off others' eyes and push them off the cliff of perdition. They say, anti-christ could never happen here. Hitler was one type of an anti-christ, and he could be right under their noses and they wouldn't recognize him.

There are only two possibilities. EITHER Sarah and the righties want to own weapons of mass destruction as solely a threat and a play thing to use menacingly over their opponents, or they actually intend on using them – just exactly as the Islamic man in Florida did. After all, the righties are still promoting the right of everyone – even suspected terrorists – to gain access to weapons of mass destruction, and this includes explosives. At this point, there aren't a lot of shades of variation (other than skin color) between their views and those of the terrorists.

    Barney Frank:

"Nobody outside the military should be allowed to own’’ the kind of assault rifle used by the Orlando gunman, he said. The Constitution, he said, does not allow unfettered access to any kind of weapon. “By that logic people can have shoulder-fired missiles,” he said.

Mr. Frank also said, commenting that this would irk his friends on the political left: “There is an Islamic element here. Yes, the overwhelming majority of Muslims don’t do this, but there is clearly, sadly, an element in the interpretation of Islam that has some currency, some interpretation in the Middle East that encourages killing people — and L.G.B.T. people are on that list. And I think it is fair to ask leaders of the Islamic community, religious and otherwise, to spend some time combatting this.’’

Third — and this, he said, “may be the most controversial” of his views: The attack “reinforces the case for significant surveillance by law enforcement of people who have given some indication of adoption of these angry Islamic hate views.” The gunman had been questioned by the F.B.I. “If they had continued to surveil him, that would have led to some A.C.L.U. criticism – and they would have been wrong. I wish they had surveilled him more, not less.”

    http://www.nytimes.com/live/orlando-nightclub-shooting-live-updates/club-owner-reports-contact-with-suspect/

No sure I agree with 2 and 3

Christians are more and more doing this kind of terrorism is the name of their religion (attacks on Planned Parenthood) so Islam may have more of a propensity towards terrorism, I believe the overwhelming tie between these assailants are mental illness over religious zeal.

If surveillance of people ever were to become partisan based, that could lead real disaster. There should be a fire wall against that element.

The Democrats finally got their shit together and chose the best candidate. The GOP had what, 18 people to choose from? So they gathered up their shit and put a suit and tie on it and chose that."
And if the POS chooses Loopy Sarah again, we will see even more shootings before November.

The Palins know they are despised by the vast majority of Alaskans!

Well said Gryphen....I agree totally. There will be those that will kill in other ways if they are so determined, but I believe banning assault rifles would stop this mass carnage. They are weapons of war, their sole purpose is to kill en mass...quickly. There will never be an argument by any citizen to own one..none. Clinton has come out strong about banning them...lets hope this really cements her election. Obama looked so defeated during his speech, not a mention of gun laws...I think he is too devastated to react in public anymore. He had said he will only endorse people for gun control, lets hope we get those people elected this time.

Background checks for ammo, in addition to weapons. Ban on purchase or ownership of semi auto, like ar-15. Complete ban on the ammo used in the semi assault weapons. Ban on people on terrorist watch list purchasing weapons and ammo. Registration of all guns and liability insurance requirement. If someone hits a person with their car, insurance covers it. People killed or hurt by aholes with guns should be paid by the insurance company of the shooter.

To Anon 2:52: The 2nd Amendment doesn't trump a goddam thing.

In Heller v. DC, the SCOTUS declared an individual right to "keep and bear arms." HOWEVER -- and this is what the NRA doesn't advertise -- Justice Scalia, who wrote the opinion, included this part:

". . . , nothing in our opinion should be taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms."

In a footnote, Scalia added: “We identify these presumptively lawful regulatory measures only as examples; our list does not purport to be exhaustive.”

For a justice who labored to make constitutional rules certain and unchanging, leaving open the list of permissible restrictions on gun ownership and use is especially notable.

Scalai trumped the Sacred Second Amendment. Sorry about that.

It was our policy of too much freedom with firearms, combined with a crazy religious ideology and homophobia, all combined, that created this nightmare.

We need to reign in guns, and religious extremists and really step up the homeland security that seems rather lacking in this day and age.

To the detriment of those of us that would never engage in religion or firearms the bar needs to be lowered, it needs to be made more strong and we need more lists, more scrutiny and I'm sorry if a few innocent people get caught in the net, we need to identify, label and watchdog these people, any and all of them, religious fanatics, gun nuts and anyone really who operates outside of the boundaries of sanity.

We need an iron fisted government that is not afraid to step on a few toes to keep these people labeled, identified and controlled or lose their right to live here.
