So the President called Bernie Sanders......what do you think he said?

Courtesy of CBS News:

President Obama called Sen. Bernie Sanders Sunday afternoon, according to a source familiar with the conversation, reports CBS News' Julianna Goldman.

The call between the two lasted 30-45 minutes, CBS News' Nancy Cordes reported. Sanders also spoke with the president by phone in mid-May.

The Vermont senator took the president's call on the side of the road in the financial district in San Francisco, at around 2:30 p.m. ET. Atwood said that as the press bus drove by, Sanders could be seen standing on Market Street, legal pad in hand, as he talked on a cell phone.

Atwood asked Sanders about the conversation Tuesday, but he declined to say much about it.

"I have spoken to President Obama many many times about many issues, and I really think it's not appropriate to talk about my discussions with the president," he told Atwood. "I try to keep that private."

The Sanders campaign stressed that the President and Bernie have talked multiple times during the campaign season, but none of that really matters.

What matters is what President Obama said to Sanders only two days before the June 7 primaries, since we now know that he is anxious to jump into this race on Hillary's behalf and start going after Donald Trump.

Whatever was said it apparently was not something that Bernie Sanders enjoyed hearing.
Yeah, I think most of us have some idea as to what that conversation was about

3:17 ~ No reason to. The AP/MSNBClintoNN took care of that for me in one felled swoop. Thinking (not their strong suit) that they would lock down CA with the propaganda / premature pronouncement, they guaranteed a massive turnout by some pretty annoyed voters. And for the two-birds-with-one-stone part of the story: All those HRC voters who don't have to show up because they aren't needed.

Now with the eyes of the nation on today's proceedings, if the establishment attempts any shenanigans, it will be all they can talk about, all while we're supposed to be measuring her highness for her crown.

But thanks for your concern. (¬◡¬)凸

O/T - Bernie's Senate financials just posted when he missed the deadline this Sunday. This VT publication calls Bernie one of the least transparent candidates in history in terms of financials, citing Politifact.

    2. Anonymous1:03 PM

I'm sure this is fairly close to what Obama said to Sanders during the call. It is unfortunate that the AP didn't wait until after the results from today's primaries. I think it is important for the voters to turn out today to end the primary season. Hillary has got the momentum after her foreign policy speech last week. If the AP hadn't jumped the gun, I think Bernie would have suspended his campaign after today's results. Now he may stubbornly just keep forcing the issue through the convention.

"WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - President Barack Obama is not ready to endorse Hillary Clinton "at this point" even though the Associated Press has concluded from a survey of superdelegates that she has enough to support to clinch the nomination, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Tuesday. "There is at least one superdelegate, the one who works in the Oval Office, who is not prepared to make a public declaration of his endorsement at this point, but stay tuned and we'll keep you updated," Earnest said at the daily briefing. Obama does not expect to "see, or meet, or appear" with Clinton during a trip to New York on Wednesday, where he will hold two fundraisers and tape an appearance on the Tonight Show."

Why do so many young female Sanders supporters feel that it’s no big deal if a woman wins the presidency? In LGBT circles, the phrase “self-loathing” comes to mind. It’s the notion that you’ve been oppressed for so long, and have so internalized your “lesser” status, that you not only accept your subjugation as normal, you almost embrace it.<
