Some of the clashes among protesters outside the Trump rally in California yesterday. Update!

After this last one you can hear some of the protesters shouting "Bernie, Bernie" which leads to the assumption that at least a portion of these Trump counter protesters are organized Sanders supporters looking to start a conflict.

Announcing your affiliation with Bernie Sanders does not seem like a good tactic if you are attempting to show how chaotic a Trump presidency would be.

Inside the building where Trump was holding his rally he had nothing to say about Sanders but plenty to say about Hillary, who had eviscerated him earlier in the day.

Courtesy of the New York Times:

In his speech, Mr. Trump continued his attack on Mrs. Clinton, accusing her of secretly hating President Obama.

“Remember, Hillary Clinton used to hate Obama,” Mr. Trump said. “She used to hate him. The old Clinton hated him.”

He mocked Mrs. Clinton and her husband, saying they bowed to the president’s whims: “Yes, sir, Mr. President, sir. What would you like? What would you like me to say, sir?” The crowd roared.

He argued that Mrs. Clinton was supportive of Mr. Obama only because of the investigation into her private email server.

“Anything Obama wants, she’s going forward with,” Mr. Trump said. “Because you know why? She doesn’t want to go to jail. That’s why.”

I assume the approach here is to suggest that the only thing that is keeping Hillary in line with the Obama policies is fear of prison over her e-mail server, which kind of ignores her stint as his Secretary of State, and her support BEFORE the Right Wing made an issue of the e-mails.

Like I have said before, this is only going to get much uglier as  we head for November.

Update: Apparently the Bernie supporters were so aggressive that they attacked each other.

I love how people are trying to convince everybody that these must be plants by the Trump campaign.

I wouldn't put it past Trump or his campaign team to hire people to create chaos outside his speeches to keep his name in the news.

    Trump: Mexican-Americans Not Really Americans

...The entirety of Trump's campaign has been driven by building white backlash resentment against non-whites - mainly Hispanics and principally Mexican immigrants or their descendants. It's an escalating narrative: they're not us, they're dangerous, they're taking our stuff and pulling us down.

It's that mix of grievance and desire to reclaim what is being taken away, that desire for revenge that has been the centerpiece of Trump's campaign from the outset, far more than any sort of economic arguments or anything else. Racial appeals, dog-whistle and all the rest are certainly not new in American politics. But having a major party presidential candidate running an explicit racist campaign is quite new. Again, the attacks on Judge Curiel is entirely of a piece with everything Trump has shown us since he kicked this campaign off almost exactly a year ago.

Drumpf is just pissed because he bought off the Trump U. lawsuits in Texas and Florida but couldn't buy off Curiel. Curiel has taken on Mexican Drug Cartels that put a price on his head. He isn't going to be intimidated by the likes of the Orange Foolius.

Michelle Obama Annihilates Trump As The GOP’s Bad Week Just Got A Whole Lot Worse

Just when Republicans thought that it couldn't get worse, First Lady Michelle Obama spoke out against everything Donald Trump represents while addressing graduates at the CCNY commencement ceremony.

...First Lady Obama’s remarks are the biggest sign yet that all of the White House is ready to join the fight to defeat Donald Trump.

Michelle Obama’s strong remarks added to the growing woes of the Republican Party. The GOP now has a nominee that has attacked the judicial system while facing fraud suits in the two biggest states in the country. As if this wasn’t enough to keep Republicans awake at night, the popular President and First Lady have signaled that they are gearing up to join the 2016 fight.

The emails/server are a big issue no matter what "wing" you fall under.
Hillary as a private citizen after her tenure as SoS,delivered her email server equipment and the contents within to a third-party private entity. Platte River Networks was without privilege to view, handle or store classified materials. We know this happened because the FBI picked the server up from PRN.
“So Tuesday of last week, the 11th [of August, 2015], the Federal Bureau of Investigation asked us to turn over the email server that was located in the data center,” spokesman Andy Boian told Fox News’s Griff Jenkins. Boian continued, “On Wednesday we did. We turned it right over to the FBI.”
    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/08/20/platte-river-networks-fbi-asked-us-to-turn-over-hillary-clinton-email-server/
Here's the law she violated in doing this:
    18.793.(e)
    (e) Whoever having unauthorized possession of, access to, or control over any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, or note relating to the national defense, or information relating to the national defense which information the possessor has reason to believe could be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of any foreign nation, willfully communicates, delivers, transmits or causes to be communicated, delivered, or transmitted, or attempts to communicate, deliver, transmit or cause to be communicated, delivered, or transmitted the same to any person not entitled to receive it, or willfully retains the same and fails to deliver it to the officer or employee of the United States entitled to receive it; Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both."
And then unbeknownst to her,PRN copied much of the contents of her server over to Datto, another third-party private entity.

Clinton condemns attacks on Trump supporters

Hillary Clinton on Friday condemned the violence that took place at a recent Donald Trump rally in California but blamed the presumptive Republican presidential nominee for inciting violence and challenged him to condemn such actions, too.

“I condemn all violence in our political arena,” Clinton told CNN’s Jake Tapper in an interview broadcast Friday. “I condemned it when Donald Trump was inciting it and congratulating people who were engaging in it. I condemn it by those who are taking violent protests to physical assault against Donald Trump.”

Clinton said the violence has to end but accused the real estate mogul of setting “a very bad example.” Trump has called his rallies “lovefests,” though he has also encouraged his supporters to “knock the crap out of” anyone with tomatoes and offered to pay the legal fees of supporters who are charged with violence at his rallies.

What happens when conservative lawyers from the Cato Institute, Georgetown University and the Hoover Institution get together?

Well, besides their opposition to Obamacare, they all come to the conclusion that Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for President of the United States, is bad for the law.

In a recent article from the New York Times, these lawyers, all politically conservative, lambasted the billionaire mogul for his attacks against the First Amendment, individuals, the separation of powers, and the rule of law all together.

In other words, these lawyers, without saying it, contend that Trump would be more crooked, more criminal, and more disastrous than Richard Nixon.

Why Millennials Love Bernie Sanders: This Is What Trump, Hillary—and Chris Matthews—Don’t Understand About How Politics Has Changed
The media condescends to Sanders the same way it does to millennials. Maybe that's why he gets their concerns.
Polls show that both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have trouble appealing to young voters. In a recent study released by Harvard, millennial voters, aged 18-29, overwhelmingly favored Bernie Sanders. Sanders pulled a net favorable rating of 54 percent, Clinton only had 37 percent, and Trump pulled a miserable 17 percent of the same age group.

While the Harvard study shows that Sanders supporters will likely support Clinton if they have no other choice against Trump, the study also indicates that the Sanders campaign has made a lasting impression on young voters that will remain whether or not he wins the nomination. Polling director John Della Volpe explained that: “He’s not moving a party to the left. He’s moving a generation to the left. Whether or not he’s winning or losing, it’s really that he’s impacting the way in which a generation—the largest generation in the history of America—thinks about politics.”

Della Volpe’s work at the John F. Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics shows that over the course of the Sanders campaign young voters increasingly favored the campaign’s core issues. Tracking data over time, Della Volpe noted that there was a demonstrable shift towards progressive politics in the last year. In fact Max Ehrenfreund of The Washington Post suggests that regardless of what happens in the campaign “Sanders might have already won a contest that will prove crucially important in America’s political future.”

Trump Has Racist Meltdown And Blurts Out Look At My African-American In Middle Of Rally

...Trump just melted down in the middle of a rally and said something completely racist. Somebody might want to tell Trump that slavery is illegal. There are no African-Americans that are “his.” African-Americans are people, and Donald Trump doesn’t own his fellow human beings.

With one outburst, Trump proved that everything that Hillary Clinton is saying about him was true. Donald Trump divides everyone. When he looked into that California crowd, he didn’t see supporters. He saw white supporters and an African-American supporter. Trump has the temperament and impulse control of a toddler.

The man is a full-blown racist, who is an embarrassment to the United States of America. It will be a great day in our nation’s history when voters toss Donald Trump into the dustbin of presidential losers.

Hillary Clinton Surges To An 11 Point Lead As Trump Support For Trump Crashes

...The Trump bump has proven to be nothing more than a temporary illusion caused by a combination of Trump clinching the nomination, while Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders continued to slug it out on the Democratic side. As Clinton has turned her attention towards the general election and is clearly going to be the Democratic nominee, the polls are reflecting the changing environment.

The national polling at this time of year does not mean much. The race will certainly shift after the candidates name their running mates and officially accept their parties nominations, but it looks like the surge in support for Donald Trump was never real.

Trump still isn’t leading in a single state that President Obama won in 2012, and with the bad publicity piling up around the Republican nominee on a near daily basis, chances are that things will get much worse for Republicans before Election Day.

A Third of Trump Supporters Say Clinton Has the Experience It Takes to Be President

More than six in 10 Americans say Clinton has the experience it takes to be president (62%)—twice as many as say this about Trump (31%). In fact, experience is Clinton's greatest overall strength from among those tested in the poll, and it is Trump's single weakest attribute.
Of course, ratings among a candidate's supporters will be predictably higher. Yet, even among Trump supporters, 34% agree that Clinton has the experience it takes to be president.

So much undefined anger. Bad parenting, tv indoctrination, bad education, narrow mindedness, and the list could go on to what ails us. Donald has just been capitalizing on all that. He knows what gets people going and he's taking the low road to get there. Hilary is trying to take the high road. But the audience is in a foul mood and wants to see blood. Was it Einstein that said, humans have to war every 2o years? We just want to sucker punch each other and not do the real work of talking it out. Typical behavior that has gotten us into trouble since forever!

@6:55 I agree with you both choices are unacceptable.

What I really fear is Hillary's extreme hawkishness will set off war in the Middle East or eastern Europe. Hillary is a staunch neocon and has orchestrated illegal and unwise military moves in Ukraine, Libya, the Balkans when she advocated for bombing of the former Yugoslavia in the First NATO war. She is short on diplomacy and big on violent, military interventions which have proven disastrous for the people of the countries involved and for our country as well--the latest in approving the right-wing coup in Honduras.

    12. Anonymous1:38 PM

@12:48 It' not a smear when it's a fact. If you can cite facts showing when and where Hillary acted against neocon plans please post them.

And she certainly is a more of a neocon than Obama who deftly sidestepped a larger war in Syria that she and the neocons want. She has been a dependable part of the neocon clique in Washington for many years. (Also see Victoria Nuland, a Hillary SD deputy whose husband is Robert Kagan, and Seymour Hersh's article on the Libya arms to Syria pipeline if you want to get a deeper look at the Hillary's SD activities on behalf of neocon positions--positions which are spelled out in the neocon "Project for a New American Century" (PNAC) paper.)

What I find ridiculous is that issues that could lead to war and to serious domestic problems are not the subject of the media's ongoing attention--issues that could affect the entire world. The media act as if the election is a horse race or a circus brought to viewers to increase ratings.

Have you called Kerry the War Sec. of State! Have you called Biden the War VP? No, you have not. That article is absurd.

      2) FACT: President Barack Obama has final approval of all decisions during his presidency. Are you calling him a War President? If not, why not? State works for the President, not the other way around. Bone up on how gov't works!

12:48 And you have not addressed my point at all that Hillary is aligned, and has been for many years going back to the First Nato war in Yugoslavia in the 1990s, with the neocons who are the war party that have run Washington's foreign policy going back to the 1970s.

Obama adopted many of their policies and suggestions but he is far from as belligerent as many of the neocons are. The PNAC paper right up to the latest reporting on neocon strategies for establishing what the they call "American hegemony" across the globe demonstrate how Hillary and her allies in Washington are highly invested in neocon beliefs and strategies. I gave you some references.

Many Dem. politicians besides Hillary are also hawks--that's not new. It remains to be seen what progressive Dems. like Sanders can do to return to diplomacy and peaceful methods of settling problems in place of endless war and dangerously escalating aggression.

Sanders voted for more wars than Hillary. In 1999, a staffer resigned from Bernie's staff because of his pro-war votes. Google that. It's an important read.

      Delete
    17. Anonymous7:12 PM

Here's the end of the letter from the Bernie staffer who resigned in 1999:

"The House Resolution (S Con Res 21) of 4/29/99 which 'authorizes the president of the United States to conduct military air operations and missile strikes in cooperation with the United States' NATO allies against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia' supports not only the current air war but also its unlimited escalation. It thereby authorizes the commission of war crimes, even of genocide. Indeed, the very day after that vote, the Pentagon announced that it would begin 'area bombing,' which the Washington Post (4/30/99) characterized as 'dropping unguided weapons from B-52 bombers in an imprecise technique that resulted in large-scale civilian casualties in World War II and the Vietnam War.'

It was your vote in support of this resolution that precipitated my decision that my conscience required me to resign from your staff. I have tried to ask myself questions that I believe each of us must ask ourselves:

Is there a moral limit to the military violence you are willing to participate in or support? Where does that limit lie? And when that limit has been reached, what action will you take?"

    18. Anonymous9:05 AM

      @7:06, 7:12
Hillary has been a staunch advocate of US military intervention for nearly 30 years. Sanders also voted against other militaristic policies the Clintons endorsed that brought much death and suffering.

Re: Sanders’ record on Yugoslavia, you have not addressed Hillary's part in that war and her advocacy for bombing civilian targets there. (See Diana Johnstone's reporting on this.)

Sanders voted against Bush I’s invasion of Iraq.

(He also correctly predicted that though the US would win the war it would cause serious destabilization and blowback in the Middle East.)

Sanders voted against the Iraq sanctions in the 1990s, sanctions promoted by President Bill and endorsed by Hillary Clinton.

(The sanctions were estimated by the UN to have killed more than 500,000 children under the age of 5 in Iraq by 1995. The UN administrator Dennis Halliday resigned over it. Even after that, Hillary continued to support the sanctions and the US ambassador to the UN Madeleine Albright famously told reporter Leslie Stahl in 1996 “We think the price is worth it,” when Stahl asked her directly about the children’s deaths.)

Sanders voted against Bush II’s invasion of Iraq in 2003, which Hillary voted for.

    Is that Trump's African American?

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-african-american_us_5751f2b3e4b0ed593f147736

"Donald Trump singled out a black supporter at a rally Friday, telling the crowd to “look at my African-American.”

Speaking at an event in Redding, California, Trump condemned the violent protests that had broken out after his campaign rally in San Jose the night before and called the protesters “thugs.” Trump claimed he always tells his supporters to “be very gentle” with demonstrators — despite having frequently encouraged violence at his campaign events.

Trump then launched into a story about a rally in Tucson, Arizona, where a black Trump supporter punched a protester wearing a KKK hood.

“We had a case where we had an African-American guy who was a fan of mine. Great fan. Great guy. In fact I want to find out what’s going on with him,” Trump said, before pointing to a man in the crowd. “Look at my African-American over here. Look at him. Are you the greatest? You know what I’m talking about? OK.”

“Everyone thought the African-American was against me,” he said about the incident at the Tucson rally. “And it was the opposite it.”"

Notice he said *MY* African American. Possessive. Property. not only that but he can't distinguish individuals. He can only recognize people en masse and identifies them by race or religion or gender. They are all lumped together and characterized/carricatured.

"Trump continued by insinuating that the media has hidden his black supporters.

“We have tremendous African-American support,” he said. “The reason is I’m going to bring jobs back to our country. But when these sleazy people, these dishonest people who never show the crowds ... When they showed that event, it made it look like the white guy was on my side.” "

Well, perhaps that is because the KKK approves of Trump and has endorsed him. Who wouldn't think a Black guy punching a White guy wearing a KKK shirt, the White guy would be the Trump supporter.? Especially since he called the protesters "thugs". Isn't that how he refers to black people? They're all thugs? Again, because he cannot differentiate them as individual human beings.
