Donald Trump just lost one of his most effective talking points against Hillary Clinton.

As many of us know Trump has been hammering Clinton for having poor judgement when it comes to making choices concerning our national defense or foreign interventions.

However if his own running mate made the same call back in 2002, then how does he continue going after Hillary on her choice.

Besides, as Vox points out, there really is no evidence that Trump was against the Iraq war either:

But Trump has yet to provide evidence that he did, in fact, oppose the Iraq War before it started. Politifact looked into Trump’s claim and rated it "false." "We could only find one example of Trump commenting on the Iraq War before the invasion where he seemed apprehensive but not vehemently opposed to the operation," Politifact reported. "In another interview, Trump said he supported the invasion."

Donald Trump is on the big stage now, and if he thinks that he will not get called on his bullshit, then perhaps he should go back and study those interviews with Sarah Palin back in 2008.

‘He’s a living black hole’: Here are 11 horrifying revelations about Trump by his former ghostwriter

    Donald Trump’s Ghostwriter Tells All

“The Art of the Deal” made America see Trump as a charmer with an unfailing knack for business. Tony Schwartz helped create that myth—and regrets it.

This may not be popular but if I was a republican delegate and received threatening phone calls, including death threats, I would buy a gun. And, I would become good at using it. And then, I would wait for the coward to step across my house threshold.

Are you suggesting Hillary Clinton should do the same, after she was threatened with execution last week?

Some of these delegates are not spring chickens and while I don't agree with their ideas, they should not have their families or themselves face death threats. I would not condone it for the democrats either.

Trump is vile and mentally ill. What he could do to the US and world makes Cheney look like a puppy.

I just hope President Obama does not provide Trump information about our government (which is supposedly normally done in a political race for the presidency) that would be harmful to the US if it were released.

We all know that Trump cannot keep his mouth shut, shoots constantly from the hip and says deplorable stuff - especially calling President Obama stupid!

Trump should look in the mirror - he is the inept one! President Obama has no baggage and Trump is loaded with it!

Vote for Hillary Clinton as she is sane, experienced and knowledgeable. I like and respect her - in spite of all the constant crap the Republicans and media put out about her (CNN and MSNBC especially).

It all started with Paul Manafort, Trump's "campaign manager", accusing Ohio's Republican Governor and previous 2016 Republican primary candidate John Kasich of refusing to endorse Trump because he wants to be the President.

...Mr. Weaver replied in a way that will make you weep with gratitude for a sign of sanity in the Republican Party. In an email to the Times, Weaver wrote that Manafort’s problem is that he’s spent so much time on the lam with thugs and autocrats that he doesn’t recognize integrity. This is followed by a perfectly dished out dig about the disastrous VP roll out.

    Oh yes.

    In full:

“Manafort’s problem, after all those years on the lam with thugs and autocrats, is that he can’t recognize principle and integrity. I do congratulate him though on a great pivot at the start of the convention after such a successful vice-presidential launch. He has brought great professionalism, direct from Kiev, to Trump world.”

Trump's excuse for Pence and condemnation of Hillary for the same Iraq vote was telling. Still, there was much about the interview that made it too frustrating for me to watch.

After 9/11/01, we attacked al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. We didn't invade Iraq until 2003. Stahl was wrong to say we went to war with Iraq. And Trump repeated her misinformation with a 'you [instead of we] went to Iraq'.

Two times, Trump bragged about being against the war in Iraq. Both times, Stahl said 'yeah' and didn't bother to point out that available documentation shows he supported the Iraq invasion.
