This is being sent out in new Hillary Clinton fundraising e-mails.

I'm sure it doesn't really mean anything though, right?

In my opinion using Warren in this way locks Clinton into choosing her.

Teasing progressives like this, and then not following through, might be the one thing that could cost her the election.

  1. But what if Elizabeth Warren does not want to be a VP? Maybe she's told Hillary that she will campaign with her UP UNTIL the Convention, thus helping as much as she can to grab as many Sanders supporters as possible. JMHO, of course!

Ohhhhhh. Didn't think of that. In any case, Warren's appearance on the trail is smart strategy.

      That's what I was thinking.

My take on Elizabeth is that she wants to do whatever is best for the country - which in this case means the Democratic Party and Hilary. If that means heavy campaigning, then that's what she'll do. I see ambition to make the nation better, not ambition for a higher office.

Look, I harbored no doubts that Mrs Clinton would choose Ms Warren as her VP. I think it's good strategy. Warren would pass any vetting session thrown at her.........which reminds me of palinstomping, which makes me ask Uncle G when oh When is the next installment of "She's The Fucking Worst Mom Ever"? I have no more finger nails to bite!

Hillary's campaign will not even make mention of Bill's "impromptu" tarmac visit with Lynch. Lynch admitted it was a mistake, but zero feedback from the Hillary camp...a little "mea culpa" might go a long way towards warding off conspiracy theorists, unless there really is a reason he scheduled a visit with the AG...

      Delete
    3. Anonymous7:51 PM

He scheduled no meeting. Gawd, folks. He's an ex-President and was responsible for making Lynch a US attorney during his own Presidency. Lynch listened to him talk about grandchildren & his golf game for 30 minutes. If you've ever met him, you'd know how possible that is.

You really think Warren is that stupid or devious?

    1. No I don't think that Warren is at all stupid and certainly not devious.

That is why seeing her sharing a stage with Hillary, and coming out so aggressively on her behalf, is yet another strong indication that there is no indictment or fallout coming from any FBI investigation into that e-mail server.

I would argue that the same holds true for that meeting between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch.

They know the investigation is all bullshit so they were not at all worried about being seen spending time together.

    6. No, I was wondering if the Clinton campaign was testing out how much money Liz could help them raise. She's one of the best in the party. What if they didn't need the Wall St money because they could raise money like Bernie did? If anybody can do it, it's EW. She was way more popular than Sanders before he ran, and she might still be a better fundraiser.

  6. It would be nice. I'm conflicted though. Elizabeth is such an effective Senator, I'd hate to lose her voice & work.

Yet, she'd be a kick ass VP, doncha think? The finance people are worried (good), threatening to pull fundraising money if Elizabeth is chosen.

Hillary could put Elizabeth in charge of banking regulations, etc., sort of like Biden is with the wonderful Cancer Moonshot.

It would be awesome if Biden could continue as VP. Oh, I don't want to see the Obama-Biden team to go. These 8 years flew by way too fast, unlike Bush*/Cheney that horrifically dragged on for what seemed like forever. :sigh:

This go around, the journalists would go after her as we currently seeing them do w/Trump!

They are 'diggin' in the dirt', big time!

There is a LOT of crud to disclose on Sarah AND Todd Palin that would finally hit the media!

    2. Anonymous12:45 PM

Man, I never thought of it like that. Warren and Palin debating. It'd be amazing. Warren can speak a million miles a minute just like Palin, but what she says is intelligent. You know Trump is going to keep interrupting Hillary and trying to keep talking over her, and although it's said that the audience will have to be quiet and the candidates will have to show respect to the people asking questions, there is no way Trump will be able to contain himself. I hate the thought of both GOP candidates being able to over-talk the Dems. As much as I love Biden, I hated his politeness toward Palin during the debate because she was allowed to yammer on and on. Warren would shut that down.

Not just to those of us in Alaska but to any person with two functional eyes it's very obvious that Palin faked her pregnancy with Trig.

However, it gained her nothing, and in fact has saddled her with a severely retarded "child" that she will have to be responsible for forever.

I'd say it was a "lose lose" situation for her.

      Delete
    4. Anonymous3:17 PM

Yes, I get that it is obvious to anyone that she faked it but does the folks around her (grocery store/bank/gas stations/library HA HA) act like they believe she did give birth to Trig? Is it like a joke?

Crossing the Line: How Donald Trump Behaved
    With Women in Private

Interviews reveal unwelcome advances, a shrewd reliance on ambition, and unsettling workplace conduct over decades.

Donald Trump and women: The words evoke a familiar cascade of casual insults, hurled from the safe distance of a Twitter account, a radio show or a campaign podium. This is the public treatment of some women by Mr. Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president: degrading, impersonal, performed. “That must be a pretty picture, you dropping to your knees,” he told a female contestant on “The Celebrity Apprentice.” Rosie O’Donnell, he said, had a “fat, ugly face.” A lawyer who needed to pump milk for a newborn? “Disgusting,” he said.

But the 1990 episode at Mar-a-Lago that Ms. Brewer Lane described was different: a debasing face-to-face encounter between Mr. Trump and a young woman he hardly knew. This is the private treatment of some women by Mr. Trump, the up-close and more intimate encounters.

I think there are a LOT of male voters in America that would NEVER vote for a two-woman ticket.

Some of those wouldn't ever vote for ONE woman, even - but might vote for her if the VP is male.

Senator Warren is extremely effective and needed right where she is: in the Senate.

Hillary will be much more effective with Senator Warren in the Senate as a Senator rather than as Vice President.

I think it's looking more and more like Hillary will pick Warren. I do think they are very aware of the fact not all of America is ready for 2 women and this is a way of testing the waters. Sort of a marketing trial run.

They can gage the enthusiasm and acceptance by the amount of donations this generates.

I think it's just Hillary's campaign doing their due diligence and being very thorough. If she doesn't go with Warren then maybe this test did not generate enough confidence and they will look for another candidate.

On a side note I really don't think Trump is going to end up the Republican Candidate. He is just going bat shit crazy and I think they will figure a way to get him off the ticket. I'm sure he could be bought off - I don't think he is as rich as he says.

Pretty good IMHO! She is a Clinton, after all, and the ReThugs WILL go after anyone named Clinton, especially if she does give Bill some position in her Cabinet (He seems to be hellbent on jeopardizimg her running for President. Insecure much?!)
