A lot of Donald Trump‘s big Connecticut rally last night was just media-bashing, especially where The New York Times was concerned.
Trump has been blowing a gasket all weekend over a Times report that there’s basically a meltdown in the Trump campaign over his lack of discipline and refusal to say on message.
Last night, Trump declared, “I’m not running against Crooked Hillary Clinton. I’m running against the crooked media!… These are the most dishonest people!”
Did anybody else notice that the camera which recorded Donald Trump saying that CNN had turned off their camera in response to his criticism of them was in fact a CNN camera?
Step one in setting the stage for a civil war:
Claim the election is rigged.
Check.
Strep two: Claim the media is against you.
Check.
Step three: Stay tuned.
Update: Holy crap, it looks like Trump is completely off his meds.

That's right, Donnie, blame everyone else but the "man" in the mirror.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/stasi-dear-donald-trump-time-drop-article-1.2750142
People of his ilk don't HAVE a "Man in the Mirror". That takes a conscience or a heart. At the very least, it requires a concern for something other than one's self.
DeleteHe's actually a vampire. When he looks in the mirror, he sees nothing.
DeleteHis paid minions emphasize how great-looking he is and how bigly he acts!!
How "bigly"? That cracked me up!
DeleteYes, he's 'bigly' in obesity size - fat face and jowls included - puffy eyes - tiny hole in the middle of it.
He'd be the most unattractive and black-souled POTUS IF he were elected, which I sincerely doubt!
He's now claiming he doesn't use anonymous sources in his speeches! Hey asswipe, saying "people are saying" or "people are asking" without naming the people is the same fucking thing!
ReplyDeleteHe is the biggest crook of all, he tries to deflect by calling others crooks. Where is his wife, his kids? Did they tire of trying to calm him down? I want to know how Maleria's parents were allowed into the country, when it was common knowledge they belong to the Communist party. Maybe she IS a plant by Vlad?
DeleteWhat about the anonymous sources within his campaign stating the same? Are they crooked too, Donald?
ReplyDeleteAs Olympian gold medalist swimmer Katie Ledecky is being touted as "the female Michael Phelps," so is dRUMPf the male $arah Palin. Same temperament, same crybaby tactics, same narcissism.
So that makes his cojones Trumps Belmonts?
DeleteI bet if Trump ever posed in a bathingsuit, he would stuff his pants.
DeleteToo bad codpieces went out of fashion centuries ago. He'd have his stuffed bigger than Henry VIII.
What "cojones"? I do not think he has any.
DeleteHe's 70 years old and I'll bet his balls are hanging like no others and blue (massive veins due to the pressure of the rest of his obese body) in color!
DeleteI'm surprised we can't find a nude photo of him taken years ago. He has always thought himself to be the epitome of manhood! What a friggin' joke he is now known to be! He literally makes me want to regurgitate every time I see him open is small piehole!
The presidency will not be his to have! Betcha!
Seriously, as much as I have hated taking on the job of wienie checking, ever since the hand size thing became a thing, I have looked at pics of him below the waist to see if there's any sign of anything being there. Nope. There are a number of younger pics of him when he wore tighter pants, and in a couple he's acting like he's so cool with his hands in his pockets, which spreads the fabric across tightly--and there is no sign of anything being there. There's even one with the hands in pockets and he's jumping in the air in front of the camera. Very tightly pulled pants. No sign of a package.
DeleteAnon@1106a, haha.
DeleteBut you and 1054a might be onto something. Given the massive size of the man's ego, is there any doubt that he would have flaunted his package at some point in his life...if there were anything there to flaunt?
Adolph also had a teenie zizi. It's some sort of medical condition.
DeleteHe's obviously compensating for a lot of stuff. How else do you make a classic sociopathic narcissist?
@11:06, OMG you are hilarious! Disgusting job but I guess someone had to do it. Thanks for the laughs!
DeleteWouldn't it be just great if ALL the media that tries to be decent simply stopped reporting anything about him?
ReplyDeleteWhen he complained, they could say, "But we're dishonest and crooked, remember?"
"Wouldn't it be just great if ALL the media that tries to be decent simply stopped reporting anything about him? "
DeleteIf only . . . .
If Donald Trump says crap in an auditorium and no one is there to write about it or take videos---did he actually say anything? If Trump says something vile and there are no actual humans except for his unhinged fans to hear it---is it like a tree falling in the woods with no one there or a bear shitting in the woods and no one there to step in it?
Boy, would I love that.
DeleteAsk and you shall receive!
Trump lives and eats by the PRESS!
DeleteI would love to see them (especially CNN and MSNBC) stop complete coverage of him! Gadfree, can't you just see how much he'd holler about that? Haha!
I've noticed that there isn't as much daily coverage about Trump on TV. Remember, it was non stop just a few short weeks ago.
I'd love to see someone flip him off and tell him to go to Hell when they are interviewing him and he doesn't answer the questions directed at him! Maybe a punch in the face would be even better since he loves violence at his rallies! Pay back would be fun, fun, fun!
He's such an egomaniac. Even worse than was Palin!
They won't.
DeleteIt was predictable.
They built him up in the primaries, for clicks and ratings.
Now they are going to tear him down in the election for clicks and ratings.
"We made you and we can break you" and they will not do what Trump wants them to do by insults, attacks on their journalists and bullying.
(gee, where have I heard that before?)
Yeah. I'd love it if they all walked out. But their job is to report and they have to stay. But man, I so wish they'd do as you suggest. Their editors could even say that the reporters' safety is in jeopardy and they can't allow it to be put in even more jeopardy and so they will not cover trump in person. They won't do that, of course, but it'd be great if the editors of the press wrote a collective letter stating that Trump is abusing the media and putting the reporters in danger. We know this to be a fact.
DeleteI think there should just be a compete media blackout of him until he releases his tax returns. Jus do not cover him.
DeleteThe Huffington Post tried that for a while but once he started winning in the primaries they eventually had to relent and start reporting on them.
DeleteTo their credit, they at least add a disclaimer about what a lying asshole he is.
Mike Pence Falls Apart As Fox News Turns Against Trump Over Obama ISIS Comments
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politicususa.com/2016/08/14/mike-pence-falls-fox-news-turns-donald-trump-obama-isis-comments.html
LOL.
DeleteTrump threw his running mate under the bus and he wasn't even trying.
Poor stupid Pence. I guess agreeing to run with Cheeto Hitler wasn't such a good idea after all.
Pence can expect more of the same for the next 80 days. He doesn't have the brains to think on his feet or his ass.
Man, when even the conservative media hold your feet to the fire you are going to get burned.
This is so entertaining.
You know that Trump will blame Pence for losing. He'll point to interviews like this (and there will be others) and tell him he's a loser, he dropped the ball and that is why they lost.
Then he'll blame Reince Priebus and say he wanted Chris Christie all along but they made him choose that loser Mike Pence.
When he gets home he'll blame Melania for giving that plagiarized speech.
Like Tina Fey is responsible for the international joke that is Palin? Sorry, Donald, but the media really doesn't have to say a word; just roll the video. He is digging his own grave.
ReplyDeleteWhat Trump isn’t telling his supporters about the cameras at his rallies is that he controls where the cameras are positioned. A report in March of 2016 confirmed that the Trump campaign dictates the specific details of where the cameras are placed at his rallies. It is Donald Trump who has insisted that the crowds not be shown and that the cameras be focused on the stage and him at all times.
ReplyDeleteTrump is supposed to be an expert deal maker, but after negotiating a bad deal for himself, he has chosen to lie, and misrepresent the facts.
http://www.politicususa.com/2016/08/14/trump-melts-blames-media-fact-losing-hillary-clinton.html
Actually, I think his declining popularity has everything to do with the media coverage. Specifically those cameras.
DeleteHe insists they be focused on him at all times. That's the rub.
The American people have had a belly full of bloviating Trump. They've had their fill but he is still in their face constantly. It's having a negative effect.
It will get worse because I'm sure Trump will insist the cameras be on him at all times as a way to counter the unpopularity. He thinks he alone can fix it by being the center of attention, on camera, and talking even more. It will make it worse.
He'll never see the problem.
He is his own worst enemy.
He'll also never accept after he loses that it was all his fault; he did it to himself.
OMG - he's going nuts on Twitter - he is seriously off his rocker today LOL

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
The failing @nytimes talks about anonymous sources and meetings that never happened. Their reporting is fiction. The media protects Hillary!
By all means, keep being yourself, Donald! You're doing such a bang up job of it.
DeleteWhere's the super sidekick $arah? Did you muzzle her or is she your "October surprise?" The joke will be on you.
It is not "freedom of the press" when newspapers and others are allowed to say and write whatever they want even if it is completely false!
Delete------
And the "first ammendment" doesn't mean politicians and others have the right to say and write whatever they want even if it is completely false!
Reading these tweets, I can't help but picture him sprawled on his bed, crushing the pleats in his school uniform skirt, tweeting and texting away, stopping only to brush the angry tears from his beady baggy eyes.
DeleteYou soaked up all that free coverage when it was favorable... now all of a sudden the media is crooked?
Payback's a bitch, you doughy gerbil-wearing sociopath.
LOL.
DeleteThat intervention didn't last very long.
I guess he bought a new phone.
"It is not "freedom of the press" when newspapers and others are allowed to say and write whatever they want even if it is completely false!"
Uh, that's exactly what freedom of the press is.
By all means, feel free to sue them all for libel but be prepared to prove what they printed are lies.
Trump's insistence on muzzling the media is just another proof he is a fascist. So for those wondering if he's a Democrat or a Republican, there you go. He's a fascist and his party is TRUMP.
Boo and Hoo.
ReplyDeletePerhaps even boo-hoodely-hoo.
DeleteRNC considers cutting cash to Trump
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politico.com/story/2016/08/donald-trump-rnc-support-226987
They should have cut it long ago. All his bragging about self-financing; let him go bankrupt for the umpteenth time! Putin has him covered.
DeleteAgain they're "considering"?
DeleteThey already told him to cut the shit or they would cut the cash and the staff.
This is an example of lack of discipline.
They've already warned him once. But they're still giving him one more chance and one more chance. Trump doesn't believe they'll do anything and he has no reason to because they never follow through.
*IF* they actually do, just watch the fireworks when Trump pulls a hissy fit.
It's not too late and they actually should pull staff and money and redirect it to the down ballot races. It's not too late. But I suspect they won't. They'll just keep giving Trump one more chance and warnings and threats they'll never follow through on.
It's like watching really bad parenting with a spoiled brat.
He's been a brat all his life, it seems. HIs parents were fed up and got him out of the house to send him to military academy. Somehow, the tough love didn't eliminate his brattiness. And we're all seeing it writ large every single day.
DeleteLOL. The GOP is telling the media they've given Trump more than anyone else and if he loses it's all on him. They are cutting him loose already. No wonder Trump is hating on the media for reporting it.
Delete"Since the Cleveland convention, top party officials have been quietly making the case to political journalists, donors and GOP operatives that the Republican National Committee has done more to help Trump than it did to support its 2012 nominee Mitt Romney, and that therefore Trump has only himself and his campaign to blame for his precipitous slide in the polls, according to people who have spoken with Republican leadership."
"Sean Spicer, the RNC’s top strategist, on Wednesday made that case to 14 political reporters he convened at the organization’s Capitol Hill headquarters for an off-the-record conversation about the election."
Politico and Buzzfeed weren't invited so I guess they get to report it.
"Spicer emphasized that RNC chairman Reince Priebus has been working aggressively to coach Trump into being a more disciplined candidate, calling the nominee “five or six times a day,” according to another person present at last week’s closed-door meeting."
That is *not* going to work. Trump is going to rebel against the nagging and babysitting. Witness the late night Twitter rant. I'm sure he was warned not to do that. So the babysitting is not working.
At some point the RNC is going to decide that keeping Trump on for fundraising isn't cost effective and they'll do better to cut him off and try to reduce their losses down ticket. That will have to happen by at least mid-September.

Nope not Hilary, nor the ripped 15 Republican's, nor the burn Socialist, or crooked media. Nope. Don is running against American's. Our Donald represents Russia and is running for the USA Communist Party. A True Global Capitalist! Its along way from the Danish Navigator of 1741 that discovered Alaska or the Russian Fur Traders of 1784 or when Alaska became the 49th state in 1959. Alaska was sold by the Russians for 7.2 million in i867. In 2014 some Alaskans filed petition to secede from usa? The CPUSA reported increased membership since 2008.
ReplyDeleteBernies fault.

DeleteMelania speaks
ReplyDeletehttps://youtu.be/Wh1wctQNKRM
Whose speech did she swipe this time?
DeleteHe was touting the polls during the primaries
ReplyDeleteand receiving a ridiculous amount of free unchallenged pres. Now they are the crocked media as his numbers sink. What a baby-like personality.
I can't help but laugh whenever I hear a Trump-supporting Republican claiming that Trump's campaign will be just fine if he gets "on message." Sorry, but once you've revealed yourself to be profoundly ignorant about world politics and the fact you have only a nerf brain, reading a script someone else wrote doesn't make you sound magically smarter. I'm sure Sarah Palin can attest to that, right Sarah?
ReplyDeleteMessage? The GOP's only message fro decades has been a big middle finger aimed at the poor and middle class. I think Trump is presenting that quite well.
DeleteHis problem is that he *is* on message. He is saying out loud exactly what the republican party has been saying for decades. He is just not cleaning it up for public consumption.
DeleteHow long do they think it's going to take?
DeleteHe hasn't been on message so far and they think he's magically going to become someone else?
This is Trump. The true Trump. This is what they bought and are paying for. Sorry, no returns and no refunds.
His message, such as it is, is the message he's been spewing since he started running. That *is* his message, the only message they're going to get. If it's not the message they wanted, well, tough shit. They should have chosen someone else.
First of all, it's too late for him to get on message since we've all seen the level of Crazy that he's been spewing for months. No carefully crafted speech is going to erase the memories (or the video) of the reprehensible things he's been saying since he began the primary race.
DeleteSecond, they are dealing with Donald Trump who has never listened to anyone because he's convinced that he knows everything about everything better than anyone else. Just ask him.
Third, let's just suppose they can somehow manage to convince him that reading a prepared speech and staying on message is a good idea for the next 2 months. The man is completely ignorant of any and all subjects a President needs to understand in order to do his/her job and not crash the world's economy (again) or start World War III. Once he gets to the debates (assuming he actually shows up), no amount of advisers or speechwriters will help him after he steps up to that debate podium.
Dr. Frankenstein, here's your monster. Enjoy watching it destroy your party.
Trump: Sarah on steroids.
ReplyDeleteI find it unbelievable that Republicans have publically said they have to keep Trump on message in order for him to 'appear' presidential! What a joke!
ReplyDeleteThe country and the world know he is nothing more than a fraud/liar and will never be able to obtain the majority votes to win the election in November!
He is Donnie the Downer! (Down and Out and hopefully never to be heard from again!)
Hillary Clinton has my vote!
And what if he is elected? They are going to control him and be his puppetmasters for the next four years?
DeleteIs this really what Republican voters want? A figurehead whose strings are being pulled by UNELECTED invisible masters?
Didn't we have enough of that with Karl Rove?
Freedom of the Press, as defined in common law and by the Supreme Court in 1964:
ReplyDeleteA "public figure" (which Trump most definitely is, and has been for more than 30 years) is libeled only if:
1) A published item about him can be proved to be false;
2) The publication (or broadcaster) knew it to be false when it was used;
3) The publication used this knowingly with malice, to hurt whoever the public figure might be.
All three parts are vital. The third, "absence of malice" is key.
Trump, if he'd ever learned anything about American history, surely can remember all sorts of times, from the beginning of the Republic, when politicians slugged it out in print.
The remedy: put out the true facts.
If he sues the publication, as he's threatened to do, then he'll have to swear under oath in depositions and on the witness stand, just what was false. And the opposition will have the chance to ask him how and why he thought so.
Finally, the Venn diagram of New York Times readers and Trump supporters shows that the two entities have almost nothing in common. If he didn't bring it up, the story could not get a toehold. Except with opinion makers, who always read the Times, whether they're left- or right-wing. That's who Trump is whining to -- but they've already made up their minds that he's a blowhard and ignoramus. He's just proving the point!
Surely, Donald Trump has libeled President Obama repeatedly, by asserting that Mr. Obama is not an American citizen (false), by knowing that this allegation is false and using it anyway; and by proving over and over that he was trying to hurt the President's chances of election and re-election by repeating the falsities. The President has not sued Mr. Trump for libel, although he could do so and win.
http://www.politicususa.com/2016/08/14/trump-threatens-freedom-press-elected-president.html
DeleteActually, Donald Trump has slandered the president.
DeleteSlander is vocal.
Libel is print.
So our choice is Don the Con who will get rid of the 1st amendment or Crooked Hillary who will get rid of the 2nd amendment?
DeleteWow. Tough choice.
I choose to get rid of guns.
Number one is the road to fascism.
2:49 -
DeleteOh, please! Enough with the lies about Hillary getting rid of the 2nd Amendment.
Changing the Constitution is a long, arduous process by design. She has never expressed any interest in trying to do that AND she would have no authority to do so anyway.
All that the media has to do is to play the video of Trump speaking. His own words sink him. It's like blaming the mirror for making you look fat.
ReplyDeleteTrump may also have some serious psychological reasons for running for president. He has been hinting at it for years. He has also courted the media for years and enjoyed being the front page feature, story and photo more than once. He craves attention.
At the same time, he is completely unprepared to be the president of the United States. Running a business is not the same thing as running a country. Trump has finally reached a bridge too far.
All of those terrible insults and name calling during the primaries sounded like a kid on the playground bullying others. He is begging to be punched in the face with his terrible remarks. Make a psychologist would say that Trump is begging to be punished because as an obnoxious kid who misbehaved, he never was punished. He has been the big bad bully for too long, and it is finally time to shut that guy up permanently.
I hope he does revoke the credentials of the Times, as he already has done to the Washington Post. Then take away broadcasters, one by one. See how he likes it when he yells and yells and there's no one there to hear him.
ReplyDelete"The media" could collectively enact a brief boycott of the yam, and see how that goes for him. The rest of us would enjoy a few days of peace and quiet.
DeleteIf the disgusting and corrupt media covered me honestly and didn't put false meaning into the words I say, I would be beating Hillary by 20%
ReplyDelete--
Say what? We listen to your speeches and still think your insane. Don't need the media to translate that shit. Your fans say you speak just like like them, you do. Just like the uneducated, ignorant fools that they are.
If the so-called liberal media covered Donald Trump honestly and didn't try to mince words or sanitize his ravings Hillary would be beating him by 30%.
DeleteShe would run the electoral college board.
"There are no anonymous sources. You know, with my campaign, I'll be honest with you -- it's ME, it's ME."
ReplyDeleteTrump: "I'm not running against crooked Hillary Clinton. I'm running against the crooked media. That's what I'm running against. It's true. I'm not running against crooked Hillary."
Then THIS>" So I said if I introduce you, Giacomo, with all those cameras -- look at those cameras -- they're the worst human beings in the world. … But I said if I introduce you with all these cameras, you, with that look, will end up being a movie star."
Trump added: "Giacomo, I want 10 percent of everything YOU make." " "I might LIE to you like Hillary does ALL the TIME, but I'll never lie to Giacomo, okay?"
""The good news is you can't move, cause you can't get anything for your house so don't worry about it."WTF?
"Oh you better elect me folks, I'll never speak to you again. Can you imagine — can you imagine how badly I'll feel if I spend all of that money, all of this energy, all of this time, and lost? I will never, ever forgive the people of Connecticut, I will never forgive the people of Florida and Pennsylvania and Ohio."< Just like Sara!
"By the way, you didn't get what I said. But I loved when CNN turned off its camera, as soon as I started telling you what sleaze they are. … Can you imagine having it on live television? But you know the good thing? Nobody is watching them anyways." ok.....
Everyone, and I mean everyone tried to keep him on message. The news networks went air to even prod him to say the right thing but noooo, baby Donnie have to have it his way. He gotta say whatever comes to his brain without thinking things through. Every thing baby Donnie learned, he learned on the internet. Because the internet is true. The truth is baby Donnie, we are sick of you. You are falling apart before the presidency. The fact that your' fans egg you on and tell you not to listen to the polls, the media, doesn't help your psychosis at this point. You need to call it a day because even that thing on your' head is looking worn out.
ReplyDeleteBack in the '80s I was a subscriber to Spy magazine. The editor, Graydon Carter, originated the "short-fingered vulgarian" meme. I wish I'd saved the issue.
ReplyDeleteIt got under Trump's skin like nothing else, and now has become a truism.
And Graydon Carter now is the longtime editor of Vanity Fair. Expect to read a wonderful article on Trump in that magazine sometime before the election.
The first time he says something coarse and disgusting to or about Hillary in the debates, I hope she, a woman, laughs right in his face and says how it really is true that he is a short-fingered vulgarian.
DeleteThat should push him right over the edge.
That and saying over and over again that "Mr. Trump can't seem to answer the question but I will."
There have already been wonderful articles. I especially like Keith Olberman's test that shows Trump is crazy. 32 out of 40 he has a mental illness.
DeleteOf course we know what it is. Sociopathic narcissist.
You know you can't win against the "liberal media".
ReplyDeleteWith that and the rigged election, he's now absolved himself of the label LOSER.
Although we all will be calling him Loser Donald or Loser Trump before October.
If the GOP are smart, they won't wait until October when irreparable damage will have been done but will pull their people and their money out of Trump's campaign and work to save as many of their down ticket people as they can.
That will just give Trump another reason to blame his losing; they didn't support me!
It's madness! What will happen when he loses the election? Who will he blame? I'd bet he's already got a script full of excuses now; like, Bo the White House dog ate the votes, etc.
ReplyDeleteHow difficult is it to release your taxes? What is he hiding and why? Put up or shut up you whining ninny.
ReplyDeleteWarren Buffett says an audit is no excuse. He's released his taxes even in the middle of an audit.
DeleteI would certainly take Warren Buffett's word over Donald Trump. Warren Buffett is a billionaire and he made the money himself, without Daddy or bankruptcies.
Hey, Donnie, that's a really great strategy you've got there!
ReplyDeleteInsult and piss off all the reporters and other media people who have helped put you in this position and have access to information about you going back decades. Vilify the people who have, thus far, shown you an extraordinary amount of leniency because you're not a career politician.
Call the media "disgusting and corrupt" for transcribing or broadcasting your exact words.
Antagonize the people who have the resources and the experience to dig up a whole lot of the secrets about you and your business dealings that you've so very carefully buried over the years.
Yup, GREAT strategy!
I have no sympathy for this prick. He's going to lose twice, once to Hilary Clinton, and then more spectacularly so in the Trump U RICO case.
ReplyDeleteSanders wanted a revolution; Trump wants a war.
ReplyDelete
