Courtesy of CNN:
The post-convention polls are in, and they consistently show Hillary Clinton entering the next phase of the presidential election campaign with the upper hand over Donald Trump.
The CNN Poll of Polls incorporating the results of six major polls -- all conducted after the party conventions concluded in late July -- finds Clinton with an average of 49% support to Trump's 39%. When third party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein are included, the margin remains the same, with both candidates losing the same amount of support to land at 45% for Clinton to 35% for Trump, with Johnson at 9% and Stein at 5%.
The new averages reflect a sharp increase in support for Clinton compared with pre-convention polls. The last CNN Poll of Polls, analyzing the results of five national, live-interviewer telephone polls conducted before the GOP convention began, found Clinton ahead 45% to 41%.
That poll also includes the one out of Georgia which shows Hillary leading Trump by 7 points.
That's right folks, by seven points in Georgia of all places. And here I thought there was no way I could be jealous of Georgia.
This goes hand in hand with news of even more Republicans coming out in support of Clinton including a former aide to George W. Bush and the former governor of Michigan.
The always amazing Nate Silver now gives Hillary a 78.7 % chance of winning the White House, but remember folks that is only true if people turn out and vote.
Personally at this point I don't see now anybody sits this one out.
Man is Trump going to get schlonged!
ReplyDeleteThat he is and it will be a beautiful schlonging.
DeleteYou know your blog is dead when even on a day that Track Palin is in court, it doesn't warrant any mention. Not to mention the dearth of comments.
ReplyDeletePersonally I don't give a shit about Track. How's that?
DeleteLol. Just can't stand it when you don't get a mention, $arah? Somebody define/spell dearth for you?
DeleteSimply amazing to you that we talk other things here?
DeleteThere's your attention for the day.
Silly twisted 'reasoning'. This one day of blog entries has over 660 comments including yours 'telling' us it's all dead. Which Palin low-IQer are you? Sarah?
DeleteHow odd a comment, the olympics have started, it's back to school after a break for a lot of students, and you want attenion on some wandering loser in wasilla who threw the baby and kept the guns..... then beat his girlfriend. Gryphen doesn't write soap operas, he's got a blog that he does on his own, no ghostwriter, no splody heads gotta splode, also, too, he doesn't have a compound full of illiterate adults and illegit grandkids.
DeleteStupid statement 4:39 PM. You've been here before!
DeleteThe majority of us could care less about any of the Palins. If you notice - mention of them is becoming less and less on this blog and it's a true Godsend!
Palins are not even heard of, or cared about, in Alaska! That should tell you something.
I doubt that Track is actually in court. For the last 3 weeks his hearings in military court have been "continued".
DeleteIf he is hauled into court today it means he totally fucked up in his non-sequestered "rehab" so if he is there then it means jail time, rather than "at home" rehab.
And if there were a post about Track you'd bitch about the fact that gryphen is beating the dead palin horse. Piss off troll.
DeleteTrack? All these court dates and never any appearances... what is there to write about and who is there to care? When he's holding a gun and threatening to shoot himself, and kicking the shit out of his girlfriend, then Gryphen will write about him again... so it's over to you, 4:39- what you got?
Delete#rah is only hitching onto the Olympics because of her "I was a huge basketball star," of which she wasn't. Her short stint of "reporting" ending up in bed with Rice. "USA! USA!" with all her gawdy get ups.
DeleteIn the end, it's not about athletes; it is STILL all about her.
Oh, if you Palins anything like Donald I am sure be a matter of days before your say or do something outrageous to get our attention. We'll be here for you when that happens, count on it.
DeleteGet back to us when Track blows his brains out. That will be interesting.
DeleteDon't believe polls, IMers, we cannot be complacent! Probably a "lesser of two evils" vote for many, but ask yourself. Do you REALLY want Trump as your president? Vote your conscience.
ReplyDeleteBlecch for that last sentence, associated with Cruz. VOTE. It IS that important.
Why don't you quote the president instead -- Don't boo -- vote.
DeleteBested! Thank you!
DeleteToday in history, Nixon resigned.
ReplyDeleteI will not feel safe until after the election. The thought of that obnoxious egotistical reality star Cheeto Jesus becoming president scares the shit out of me.
ReplyDeleteNot only that, but the assholes who love him. That's even scarier. Deliverance!
DeleteI think he is more akin to Cheeto Hitler.
DeleteRiiggghhttt!! wiiiinnngggg nuuuttttss allll..

Trump was heard to mutter "ein reich, ein volk, ein fuhrer."
ReplyDeleteFor those that don't speak German (I do, I lived in Germany for 3 years).
DeleteLoosely (and I do mean loosely) translated it says;
1 political party
1 country
1 ruler
It's it more like
DeleteOne Empire
One People
One Leader
dRumpf lawyers?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/08/08/parents-2-benghazi-victims-sue-hillary-clinton-for-wrongful-death-defamation.html
Good luck with that.
DeleteDid Trump put her up to it? Stupid of her to do - and, I don't support her action. She'll lose!
DeleteSince the primaries, Trump has run on "being ahead."
ReplyDeleteNow that he's behind he's got nothing to boast about.
Naw.
DeleteHe'll just lie and claim he's still ahead.
Trumps in the dumps, he's already screaming "Rigged" because things don't look too well for him.
ReplyDeleteOT Think good thoughts for a fellow IM visitor tomorrow morning. Lightning struck twice, but she's up beat and will beat it again.
As soon as he brought up "rigged," I knew! Now supporting the elites he hated in the primaries? So much for "we the people" crap, Donnie, the Palin curse strikes again.
DeleteBoo Hoo.
Got it, Anita.
DeleteI am a 3 time cancer survivor, I have high hopes for her.
DeleteWhen I was 10, doctors found a meningioma the size if a grapefruit wrapped around my optic nerve, facial nerve, ear and base of the brain. This was 1971 before laser surgery and micro surgery.
It was so successful that 7 years later I was able to join the army.
While in the army, stationed in Germany, going through a divorce and pregnant. (the day I found out i was pregnant, i caught my husband in bed with his bff George.) At six months along they thought I was having twins, but there was only one heartbeat and two lumps...after an ultrasound (brand new and it was the size of an MRI machine) it was a mass and a baby. So after extensive and painful tests, it was determined I had endometrial cancer and the military wanted me to abort my son and have a hysterectomy. I fought it, so I could keep my baby (and I support woman who want abortions, because I had to fight so hard for my choice too). I was 19, by the time I had my son (who is perfectly ok) I had turned 20 the month before he was born.
Six weeks after he was born I had a hysterectomy and started chemo and radiation.
At age 35, I had skin cancer, which really is not surprising, since I grew up in the Arizona desert in the 60's and 70's.
She can do this too! Keep your chin up, laughter and humor will go a long way! You got this girl! Now put on your boogie shoes and dance your own way!
Wow Jackie! You're a fighter! I'm glad you & your son made it through!
DeleteThank You all, So much has changed in 19 years. I was given a few choices, and they postponed the surgery. They're doing a mastectomy and reconstruction on the same day, I consider myself among the lucky, it's stage three, highly contained, and I may be able to dodge chemo and radiation depending on what they find.
DeleteTo Jackie, thanks for sharing your amazing courage and fight.
So Larry Klayman, Another R crazy and attorney for patricia smith and Charles Wood. The parents of Sean Smith and Tyrone Wood. Bengazi attack.
ReplyDeleteI remember that time well. The movie produced by republicans stirred the hate and then it happened. How the heck does one believe that it was solely up to Hillary, to select, install and maintain the equiptment to communicate. I believe that job belonged to somebody else more qualified such as the homeland security dept, etc. What a crock of dung to harass her. Who installed it and maintained it? hmmmm? Its not like she had an affair with joe blow and he read all her secret classified material while rolling around in the hay with lover like petrayus. Maybe we should look at all the failed security acts that caused unnecessary death in the last 100 yrs. R is for rigged. Republicans are riggers in fox nation. It is their only game plan and agenda. Rig and spin to win.
Hillary is playing her cards right, in my opinion. Trump is showing exactly who he is; no wonder $arah supports him and why she's relegated to "stay the fuck home, please." :)
ReplyDeleteHey Sarah, you've made yourself into a completely irrelevant nincompoop in front of the world. Duhkota can't help you out of this one. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThat Time Sarah Palin Made A Complete Fool Of Herself While Endorsing Trump
http://trofire.com/2016/08/08/flashback-time-sarah-palin-made-complete-fool-endorsing-trump/
If Trump had chosen Sarah as VP this would not be happening! Sarah would have brought energy and vibrant living. Big mistake by Trump. SMH
ReplyDeleteEven accepting her endorsement was enough to doom him. Her poison has its own vibrant way about it.
DeleteI still remember that endorsement stage in Iowa and the looks on his face standing beside her as she yammered on. On to Oklahoma, he stood offstage and they were never seen together again. :)
DeleteI love your sense of sarcasm. Sarah would accept in a heartbeat and quit in two, that's how she rolls. She can't stay on topic, needs to be in the spotlight, you know, like Donald but without the money and silicone arm candy.
DeleteMy heart was warmed tonight as I watched news. There was Donald Trump reading like a trained monkey off the teleprompter. The fire in his belly gone. It made me have hope that neanderthals could behave when whupped. Good boy. Down boy. Here's a treat. No more bad words. We have to get you past the elections no matter what you represent cuz God as our witness, we cannot lose to Hillary. Any woman but her!!! You hear Donald, now get out there and behave!!! But, in the last year, we have gotten to know Donald, and it'll be a matter of time before he explodes again. Popcorn, please!
ReplyDeleteI actually fell asleep during his speech today. I turned on the TV because I always want to see what happens, if he has a decent enough rally/speech or goes off the rails, and after a short while I fell asleep, and his speech was over when I woke up.
DeleteFunnier than heck! The big bad Donald sold out? Imagine that! Olympics here and so very thankful for the distraction.
DeleteGOP senator Susan Collins: Why I cannot support Trump
ReplyDelete...With the passage of time, I have become increasingly dismayed by his constant stream of cruel comments and his inability to admit error or apologize. But it was his attacks directed at people who could not respond on an equal footing — either because they do not share his power or stature or because professional responsibility precluded them from engaging at such a level — that revealed Mr. Trump as unworthy of being our president.
My conclusion about Mr. Trump’s unsuitability for office is based on his disregard for the precept of treating others with respect, an idea that should transcend politics. Instead, he opts to mock the vulnerable and inflame prejudices by attacking ethnic and religious minorities. Three incidents in particular have led me to the inescapable conclusion that Mr. Trump lacks the temperament, self-discipline and judgment required to be president.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/gop-senator-why-i-cannot-support-trump/2016/08/08/821095be-5d7e-11e6-9d2f-b1a3564181a1_story.html
The floodgates are opening.
DeleteIn the next two months we will hear from more and more GOP political persons of standing come out against Trump.
It will be inflamed and accelerated with each additional attack he will be making. And he will. There is no way he can control himself for the next three months.
I expect we'll hear from Colin Powell soon.
This campaign could get worse — a lot worse. Here’s why.
ReplyDelete...In other words, if the election were held today it would be what is technically called a butt-kicking. Closer examination of the polls suggests the coalition that twice elected Barack Obama as president — led by women and minorities — is reassembling for Clinton; and that college-educated whites, who narrowly favored Mitt Romney, are moving into Clinton’s column as well.
The Trump campaign may be hoping for some sort of deus ex machina game-changer — more embarrassments from the Clinton emails, say, courtesy of Russian hackers or WikiLeaks. But that’s not a plan.
It seems to me that there are two things Trump can do. One is to raise questions in voters’ minds about Clinton. Having already called her “Crooked Hillary” and questioned her mental competence, it’s hard to imagine how the attacks could get much nastier. But I’m afraid they will.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/why-this-campaign-could-get-even-uglier/2016/08/08/1a9cd018-5d9d-11e6-9d2f-b1a3564181a1_story.html
But that's been his game plan from day one, even in the primaries. Add a perjatorive in front of each name and pound it in until it's the first thing people think. Know what kind of person does that? One with no solutions. Coward. Bully. Siociopath.
DeleteI thought Clinton was supposed to be the one with less baggage.

ReplyDeleteGOP Senator Won’t Back Donald Trump Because He’s ‘Unworthy Of Being Our President’
Sen. Susan Collins of Maine joins a handful of Republican senators who have declared they won’t support their party’s presidential nominee.

It's now 87.5% for HRC in the "now" poll by Nate Silver's group. http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/?ex_cid=rrpromo
ReplyDeleteSounds like Susan Collins thinks that Humpty Dumpy is just another splody head bound to splode some more.

Yep, she will be President.
ReplyDeleteAnd the tears of joy will rival those shed when Barack Obama was elected.
Back some months, I was afraid for our country. What Donald Trump was opening up in our country is not new, but it's old and ugly. Our forefathers fled from it in Europe and wrote a constitution to prevent our new country from ever making the same mistakes. That's why we have the checks and balances of our government. The best one to date. Yes, our country has many flaws. We are hashing them out decade by decade, and the promise for our country to be a very forward and thinking country is a possibility. Then along comes Sarah Palin, and Donald Trump and they just open up all the healing wounds and dig into the pus that the antibiotics have not fully healed. These two, and those like them need to let go, and be healed. Be healed by our countries uniqueness. Instead, they want to take us where Hitler took the Germans back when. We will always have people like Trump and Palin, and we will always have the Republican minded people who are awaiting their savior to say exactly what they are thinking, and those are dark thoughts of a Utopian society where only the overlords rule, and the underlings toil, and suffer. It's called Hell.
