Rudy "9-11" Giuliani claims that "before Obama came along we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attacks in the United States." Um.......

Courtesy of TPM:

Speaking in Youngstown, Ohio ahead of Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, who was the mayor of New York City on 9/11, declared that Islamic extremists hadn't carried out any terror attacks on American soil before Barack Obama's presidency.

"Under those 8 years, before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack in the US," Giuliani told the crowd. "They all started when Clinton and Obama came into office."

He literally starts off talking about the attacks that happened before Obama took office, and then seems to forget them by the end of the clip.

It's made somewhat more ironic by the fact that the only reason that anybody really even cares about his opinion anymore is because Giuliani was the Mayor of New York during the 9-11 attacks.

However I am not one of those people and have never found Giuliani to be anything but a partisan hack.

Besides in my opinion NO politician with any real credibility would find himself in the role as a Donald Trump surrogate.

The guy is an ass! Once he came out in support of Trump, his likeability rating went down absolutely off the charts with me!

    He's repulsive as is Trump!

"likeability rating"?? He has always been repulsive and unlikeable. He also jeopardized the first responders, by putting their offices in the World Trade Center, so he could be close to the woman he was having an affair with. Not his cousin, his third wife. How do these frauds make it into office, I wonder?

He's not the first Republican to try to blame the 9/11 attack on President Obama. The elephant, renown for its great memory, needs to quit as symbol of the GOP. Republicans only have wishful-thinking memories, not reality-based ones.

His poor judgement got people killed. But oh, we're supposed to think of hi mas a hero. At least he didn't get far when he ran for pres--people weren't duped like before. He's a piece of shit, and nowadays it shows like never before.

And he looks like such a yellow-toothed sewer rat out there defending Trump. He's bulging eyes and hyperness is bad, but how he doesn't realize that his fake upper teeth don't match his real bottom teeth that are so brown is beyond me.

He bought sub- standard walkie talkies and the first responders were unable to properly communicate between themselves causing 1000's of deaths. How he can look himself in the mirror is beyond me. He is scum.

Nicolle Wallace on msnbc's Morning Joe tested this 'no Islamic terrorist act' on Bush's watch BS at least a month or two ago. It was astonishing to watch and hear her claim such a bald-faced garbage-mouthed lie.

I guess that lie 'polled' well in Frank Luntz focus group testing so the lame-assed 'conservatives' are running with that lie full-throttle.

*ugh* How could Rudy Guilliani forget his one and only claim to fame, 'noun verb and 9-11-01?' How could he forget the year of the deadly horrifying conflagration in his own NYC? Where did the nine years go that made it President Obama's foreign attack on American soil?

      Are Trump surrogates all demented?

I can not believe how gullible and stupid people are yet claim their opinions are valid based in big lies. I took an immediate dislike to Giuliani in 2008 when he railed about Europeans at the RNC.

I agree with Joe Scarsborough that Trump and his campaign speak as if everyone is stupid. Alas, this election is evidence there are far more stupid people than ignorant in this country.

And remember that they 2004 GOP convention was full of images of 9/11. However, all mention of 9/11 was gone by the time of the 2008 GOP convention. Erased magically from the Republican memory bank.

So all that 9/11 response experience Rudy was spouting when he running for president in 2008 was what made up? Oh my bad..that's right he's a Republican and the playbook says one should always blame the nearest Dem in office. Silly me.

Hillary: "We’ve got to reverse what has become the commonplace view that everybody needs to go get a four-year college degree. You should be able to learn a skill, practice a trade, and make a good living doing it. So many Americans have the talent and the will to succeed––whether they’re kids right out of high school or older Americans whose jobs have been displaced by automation and outsourcing. For too long, big promises about the power of training and retraining haven’t delivered like they should. It doesn’t help anyone to be trained for a job that doesn’t exist. We're going to change that."

Funny. People here mock and deride people who choose not to attend a 4 year school. (even when SO MANY who do end up with degrees that require more school or worthless degrees)

School is WAY too expensive to mandate everyone go to college. The discussion in HIGH SCHOOLS need to be "how are you going to support yourself when you graduate from secondary school?

I love how Todd worked with trades and such things as First gentleman.

Higher education is way too expensive, but I do not believe that there is such a thing as a "worthless degree". As the saying goes, if you think education is expensive, try ignorance. Plus, wth does any of this have to do with Todd Palin? His stupidity (though he is not alone there) helps no one.

You mean the sex trade? While he was also shadow gov? That's some kick ass multi-taskin'.

But in general, yes, I do agree that you can make a great living in the trades, start your own busienss, etc. But as humans, we should be life long learners who WANT to keep up and keep learning.
I can't imagine being the same person intellectually that I was when I graduated high school.

I agree with Hillary Clinton. As much as I respect higher education, I understand that it is not for everyone. After WWII when my cousins returned to the US, they opted for trade schools rather than college under the GI Bill. All three of them ultimately began very successful businesses in the trades - electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. What really matters is the best grounding before students move on to college or alternative training. following high school. Surely in this country we can do both and do both well.
