Columbus Dispatch reporter Randy Ludlow has posted a photo on Twitter that shows Green Party supporters standing around an empty podium at Capital University after Green Party nominee Jill Stein accidentally boarded a flight to Cincinnati instead of to Columbus.
In his official report on Stein’s mistaken flight, Ludlow writes that “about 100 people are waiting at Schaaf Lawn on campus” for Stein, although he notes that “it’s unclear if they will all hang around while Stein drives up from Cincinnati.”
There’s good news, however, as he says that “pizzas are being ordered to thank people for their patience.”
Oh well if there's pizza coming. After all I think most of these third party supporters really only show up for the free food anyway.
Rule number one in politics, get on the right flight.
I feel kind of bad for saying this but it's not the first time I thought of Jill Stein as either stupid or on drugs.
ReplyDeleteHey, give her a break; both citied start with a "C" so it's a natural mistake.
DeleteBy the same token, if she becomes President, we should not get upset if she declares war against Norway instead of North Korea; they both start with "Nor...".
It isn't easy being green, you know.
"After all I think most of these third party supporters really only show up for the free food anyway. "
ReplyDeleteThere you go again: insulting voters whose votes your gal is going to desperately want by Nov 8th.
Get your head in the game. Spead some honey. Even for people we know you despise. It's called being politically astute.
Sorry, I don't pander to idiots.
DeleteI have had no use for third parties since 2000.
And Hillary needs votes from the Green Party like Superman needs a bullet proof vest.
So you green party people need to be sucked up to? Sorry honey, you're not that important.
Delete"whose votes your gal is going to desperately want"
DeleteSo it has nothing to do with what's best for the country? And, it's more of a kinda extortion kinda deal? Is that it?
What a fuckin' whiner you are. How old are you? Get over your feefees and not getting enough attention as a child.
DeleteSo the anti-vaxxers and the people who think Jill is brilliant for trashing America in Moscow with Putin will vote for Hillary? Right.
DeleteNeither Bernie people nor Stein people will vote for Hillary so it's a non-starter.
Delete"And Hillary needs votes from the Green Party like Superman needs a bullet proof vest. "
DeleteAh, she doesn't need their votes. But you and your minions keep saying anyone who doesn't vote for her is voting for Trump.
See how you've set yourself up now for not being able to blame them if Hillary doesn't win?
12:36pm Hillary will win, so your point is moot.
DeleteLast I checked, Stein is WAAAAAAY behind Johnson, with like 3% of the total vote. Either Green Partiers will quickly realize that at Hillary supports a large part of what they want T.Rump - 0%.The ones who will actually vote for Stein are lost causes this election.
DeleteIn her defense, I used to travel extensively and constantly for work and when you're exhausted you can make some stupid mistakes. I would have gotten on the wrong flight a couple of times but for the vigilance of the gate agent who takes tickets. Doesn't she travel with someone else? If so then they and she and the gate agent must have been exhausted.
ReplyDeletedifference is: you're not making a serious attempt to be elected President of the United States of America.
DeleteOh...
Wait.
Never mind.
I have over 1,000,000 air miles on me and have never gotten on the wrong flight nor bought a ticket for the wrong destination.
DeleteI have gotten on the wrong flight and had to get out of my seat when they announced the destination. But that was 15 years ago before e-tickest and barcode scans. Doesn't happen anymore. As someone pointed out below, in order to end up in the wrong city, she would have had to buy a ticket for the wrong city.
DeletePlease. How do you get ion the wrong fight? Did she not have a ticket to Columbus? I'm betting the campaign screwed up and got tickets to Cincinnati. Gate people check tickets..they would not make this mistake.
DeleteSo she has no aides who are a bit less frazzled and a lot smarter?
DeleteCincinnati - Columbus
ReplyDeleteTomato - tomahto
Toledo!!! She really wanted to go get a Tony Packo's.
DeleteI happened across an article. Donald Trump and Ideal health. Very interesting product, affiliated character's, pyramid scam type biz, and failure. The FDA did not approve and science did not back it. It fits with trump u, model management, and eavesdrop resort inc. etc. The great white ape dictator riding the lil trojan pink pony and seducing the masses.
ReplyDeleteI think you're trying to communicate something, but your illiteracy is making it difficult to figure out what that is. Could you try again, using standard English grammar?
Delete856am, the gist was trump has a health supplements scam and was busted.
DeleteWhat's going to happen on Inauguration Day when President Jill Stein misses her inauguration ceremony because she flew to the state of Washington instead of flying to Washington DC?
ReplyDeleteWill the Inaugural Committee send out for Domino's Pizza to thank the thousands of people for their patience?
"It’s unclear if they will all hang around the West Lawn of the Capitol Building while Stein drives up from the West Coast?”
Well, it isn't that important. Those supporters didn't have much else to do but wait around anyway so no harm done.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, you can;t just walk onto a wrong flight. So what happened is that she bought a ticket for the wrong destination.
ReplyDeleteI suppose all this will be blamed on those men in black suits again.
ReplyDeleteRule number two: either have the taco truck at the corner, or the pizza place on speed dial!
ReplyDeleteShe didn't mix up flights. She mixed up destinations. I heard a report that she blamed it on an aide who bought the wrong ticket. She can't blame it on the aide, because she either gave the aide the wrong destination, or didn't check her ticket when she got it. Since she boarded an aircraft that had to have been announced as the wrong destination, and had a ticket to match, my bet is she mixed up the cities herself and had the aide buy the wrong ticket.
ReplyDeleteThe buck stops at her.
In the the wrong city? In the wrong bed? This has happened to many.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Sarah Heath has woken up wondering whose bed is she was in.
Sorry
Deletewhose bed she was in
It's called "flyover country" for a reason. Seriously, have you been to Ohio? I'll give her a pass for mistaking one flyover town for another.
ReplyDelete"Flyover country" is a joke. No one seriously thinks that the whole middle of the country is just all interchangeable.
DeleteCleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, whatevs! Same difference. (No)
Fuck you. My adopted state of Ohio could decide the vote this year - Cleveland is pretty blue, Cinci pretty red.
DeleteI guess you could decide the election, still doesn't mean that anyone wants to visit there, I maintain, it's flyover country, you guys that live there can love it all you want but the rest of us that live in interesting places say that you can have it.
DeleteJill Stein is has run for president over several election cycles. And she still sucks. I'm a progressive but as much as I like some of her platform she just can't get the job done from the outside. If she were serious she would run Dem or Independent in order to affect change from the inside.
ReplyDeleteIt happens sometimes, did they wear "where's Jill?" pins? Next time, perhaps she should pay extra for an escort like the time I sent my 14 year old to Germany. Not looking too good for poor Jill.
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha. That's at least a three hour drive.
