New Hillary Clinton ad "Mirrors" is certainly going to leave a mark.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is here to show you what a Donald Trump presidency would feel like for young women.

The Democratic nominee’s latest ad, titled “Mirrors,” shows girls of varying ages and backgrounds looking at their reflections as they hear multiple comments from Trump degrading women.

“Donald Trump has spent his campaign, and career, demeaning and insulting women, which is just one of the reasons a majority of American women do not think Trump respects women,” Clinton’s campaign said in a statement.

The spot ends with a sobering question: “Is this the president we want for our daughters?”

Jesus! After watching that ad even I want to slap Donald Trump across his fat ugly face.

The female vote that will be coming out against Donald Trump is going to be YUGE!

And once again the best part is that the entire ad is simply made up of Trump's own words.

Is Trump a liar or committed perjury?

    THE SCOOP
DONALD TRUMP EITHER LIED TO THE REPUBLICANS OR BROKE THE LAW (EXCLUSIVE)

BY KURT EICHENWALD ON 9/23/16 AT 12:51 PM

Donald Trump committed perjury. Or he looked into the faces of the Republican faithful and knowingly lied. There is no third option.

Trump is engaging in dominance displays. This a technique male chimpanzees (among other species) use to attempt to better their position in the hierarchy (and improve their access to better, more fertile females). Trump demeans women to better his status among men. The trophy wives is a similar technique.

This Clinton ad is correct that this behavior does present a problem for girls (and women of all ages). Not only because of what they hear, but what the boys and men hear. When other boys and men see a successful attack on women, it encourages them to do the same.

Cheerful and incessant use of the word bitch is a fine example of how something that was once impolite but is now a "good" way to slam girls and women to get points in the male hierarchy.

BTW, the Clinton ad fails miserably in one point. There should have be 3, 5, 7 year-olds hearing the hate. Showing just teens is sugar-coating a problem that starts on the playground in pre-school. It's more vicious there, but the adults just pretend it's not happening. Boys know the word "tits" pretty damn early these days.

I spent last June in Italy. A country once known for pinching strange women in the ass. It used to be that men considered all women their property and that they had the freedom to manhandle them at will.

      No more.

I'm not sure how long it took or what was done to change but my trip was quite nice. All of the men I encountered were respectful and quite friendly and helpful. There wasn't a hint of demeaning or sexualizing women.

I'm not saying they're perfect. But I did pass some construction sites and wasn't always in the best part of town and I didn't get catcalls in Italian.

This is perfect! Should reach moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents...just about everyone.

    Well done, Ms. Hillary!

Just a side note about the power of a good ad:
I don't know if any of you have seen a recent brilliant ad by Missouri candidate for US Senate, Jason Kander.
In the ad he assembles a rifle while blindfolded, calls out out sleazy Roy Blunt for pandering to the NRA, and challenges Roy to put that rifle together.

Well, Cracklin Charlie is happy to report that Kander signs, HUGE ones, are poppin up all over my town, in places that never have had a democrat sign! I am stoked! at the thought of Blunt goin down!

We've got a Colonel running against Issa and using Trump in an ad to take Issa down. The odds are against it but I sure hope he wins. Even if he's a Republican he couldn't be worse than Issa.

The spot ends with a sobering question: “Is this the president we want for our daughters?”

Clinton or a SuperPac should make an add with Donald on the View lusting after his daughter's body along with the numerous pictures of his teenage love grinding on his lap at a concert or the pictures of his young love sitting on his thigh with her legs between daddy's legs. Sick bastard.

D&T Post (Check out the picture of Donald, Melania and Ivanka.

Who is Donald paying attention to?

The picture of the man with his daughter on his lap, “Is this the president we want for our daughters?”

"Reminder: Donald Trump really *really* likes his daughter Ivanka"

“You know who is one of the great beauties of the world, according to everybody, and I helped create her?” Trump once asked Howard Stern. “Ivanka. My daughter, Ivanka. She’s six-feet tall. She has the best body.”

When asked his favorite thing that he has in common with his daughter, Trump once replied, “Sex.”

And then, of course, there’s this photo of Trump with a then 15-year-old Ivanka, which cannot be unseen:

    1. He is saying terrible things about women, not men, and suggesting that they only have value if they are attractive.

That is why the ad is about protecting young girls and their self esteem.

Trump is saying things that teach boys and men how to be good at demeaning women. The best way to protect the self-esteem of young girls and women is teach boys and men to stop destroying it.

The ad misleads the viewer by implying that Trump is impacting just daughters. He has a far more damaging effect on sons.

For example, Rush Limbaugh's feminazi crap did not do diddle squat to my self-esteem. But his gleeful followers used feminazi against me in the workplace for years.

The only problem is that, unfortunately, Bill is a sexual predator on his own. So it can so easily be tossed back by the Trump crowd that Bill has destroyed women's lives, too. I'm a Hillary supporter, but the point can be made.

But I do think it's a damn good ad. Her ad about the kids watching is also a good one.

Funny. I've never seen video of Bill calling a woman fat, ugly, stupid, a bitch, a cunt, make ugly innuendos about her bleeding out of everywhere, etc.

How much video do we have of Trump denigrating women? When you can match that with video of Bill doing exactly the same, I'll start to pay attention.

Until then I think it's enough to say that Bill isn't running for president. He WAS the president.

Bill had an affair with a consenting female - Monica Lewinsky. That does not make him a predator, just a jerk who cheated. Big difference! I don't recall saying he'd date Chelseavif she weren't his daughter nor commenting on Chelsea's attractiveness. You cannot compare him to a sleaze like Trump.

    White People

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zjj1PmJcRM

What does it mean to be white? MTV’s ‘White People’ is a groundbreaking documentary on race that aims to answer that question from the viewpoint of young white people living in America today. The film follows Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and filmmaker, Jose Antonio Vargas, as he travels across the country to get this complicated conversation started. ‘White People’ asks what’s fair when it comes to affirmative action, if colorblindness is a good thing, what privilege really means, and what it’s like to become the “white minority” in your neighborhood.

Just FTR, I, like every other parent, will never not laugh for 10 minutes when my toddlers drop F bombs or something equally funny. That's all.

There's a meme that says something like "the hardest part of parenting is trying to keep a straight face when your kid does something bad but freaking hilarious."

    Fact.

Though the hardest part is watching daughters choose to date losers and you really can't do anything or you will push her to threaten elopement. Been there done that. :( If you hven't heard "I hate you" and "fuck you" from your kids a millions times, you're not a parent.

Kids that tell their patents to "fuck off" etc are going to be and have real problems later in life. A toddler dropping the "F bomb" is NOT funny. But go ahead and laugh all you want. That kind of stuff is a big part of how Trump has gotten this far.

That is so ridiculous! Proper parenting is proper parenting, it doesn't change to meet the lowered vulgar standards of a generation that themselves were not raised properly.

It's horrifying for many parents to see the devolution of proper manners and etiquette. It's why many people send their kids to private schools.

I'm 50 and I still will never utter the F word in front of my parents, out of respect for the time, effort and money they put into raising us and educating us to be better than that.

I still remember which fork to use when we have to attend special functions, which glass to use and how to set a proper table. This new generation of "feral children" will never be able to function in a polite society, then again, they weren't born to it so why should they care?

Society always needs to have a blue collar element, it's who pumps our septic tank and remodels our homes, but boy howdy, having these people around makes us realize how well we were raised.

Unlike most fathers, my daughter was my first love. I adored everything about her, even how he smelled. The sound of her voice on the phone still makes my heart skip a beat. Some of my happiest fatherly memories was at a Beach Boys concert. If she wasn't married I would be dating her.
