Believe it or not Judge Napolitano of Fox News gives the best defense of Hillary Clinton that I have heard yet.

Courtesy of Crooks and Liars:

All of Trump's surrogates have been wielding these past incidents like a hammer, making wild and unfounded accusations to fill time slots and distract viewers, and amidst the screaming the actual charges are rarely fact-checked by cable TV hosts.

Judge Napolitano said, "The three that are accusing him [Bill] are cases that were never proved or alleged many, many years after the series of events."

He continued, "The only case Bill Clinton paid out any money was after the case was dismissed because they feared it would be reinstated, he was the sitting president."

Kelly said, "Paula Jones settlement sounds like a nuisance value settlement, he pad 850K, the vast majority was legal fees, only 200K went to her."

She continued, "That's what you do to get rid of these matters when you're President."

Judge Napolitano said, "We all know they all had a serious problem with proof, which is why none of them ever were laid out in front of judge and jury."

I am almost slack jawed to find Napolitano defending Hillary in this way, and that he is clearly backed up by Megyn Kelly, who is also a lawyer and knows about these things.

And of course they are correct that these are old cases that have already been litigated and found to be lacking in evidence.

The Trump surrogates can bring up these moldy old cases all day long if they want, but the fact is that the allegations against Trump have that new scandal smell and there appears to be a new one every few hours.

And they seem to be getting grosser by the day.

And I don't think they even comprehend why they are losing, they are so out of touch.
Proud to say that I already had a few republican friends voting for Hillary this yr, but a few others that were going to sit it out are now going to vote for Hillary also, though mostly I'll admit, as a vote against tRump.

The Republican candidate likes only certain "types" of black people, she said in a series of tweets.

Interesting that it's Megyn Kelly. I guess she wasn't intimidated by the Donald and his twitter insults?

    1. You know I have my own personal issues with Megyn Kelly, but to her credit she has been on Trump's ass from the very beginning.

Starting in that first GOP debate.

    2. She's also not intimated by the Murdoch sons who are now theoretically running Fox. Suspect she is calling the shots now. Her $20 million salary is rumored to be doubled if she stays for another contract in 2017.

Trump has to hate women like Megyn Kelly.

Whip smart, accomplished, law degree, well spoken, confident, attractive, and SHE HAS NO USE FOR A FAT BLOATED JABBA THE HUT PREDATOR like Drump.

As recently as April Megyn Kelly was denying a right-wing bias at Fox News. She's still part of the problem, she's done so much damage during the Obama presidency that she should forever be muzzled and sent to the back of the bus.

The enemy of my enemy is not now necessarily my friend. She's toxic, regardless of her resume.

  6. I have never liked the guy because he is on Fox which automatically sets up a barrier. Not fair, but true.
However, in reading about Napolitano, here are some facts. He is gay, has ruled in favor of spousal battered syndrome rights, is a vegetarian and produces maple syrup from his farm in New Jersey.
Not your typical Fox Republican, he is Libertarian in persuasion and admittedly not a total asshat.
    He just sounds like one.
I will read anything theses days to divert my ADD to shiny objects.

Been trolling some Trumpsters and they are trying to justify Trump's sexual aggression by pointing out the "felonious" things that Hillary has done with her e-mails. They are convinced that Hillary's e-mails were hacked and she revealed state secrets thus causing the deaths of numerous innocent people. And, they'll always have Benghazi. Anything to take the focus off their swine king.

Trump is an incoherent conspiracy theory driven bullshitter without the capacity to administer the laws of the United States.

Once Kelley and Napolitano actually deign to discuss the blatant incompetence of Trump, they might earn a (tiny) bit of my attention. This blithering about side issues that only idiot Trumpeters care about is really not worth my time.

I tried to have some respect for Megyn Kelly after the first GOP debate but lost it after her kissy face interview with Trump that was primarily done to promote her upcoming book. All of the women on Fox News have sold out and I despise them all.

Kathleen Willey was always an obvious nutcase presidential stalker, Paula Jones appeared to be after a big pay-off and I was unsure if she'd set Clinton up or if it was a complete fabrication..........the one that bothered me was the rape allegations by Juanita Broaddrick because I would hate to disbelieve a woman who was telling the truth about such a thing. However, I'm now very sure in my mind that that was also a lie because what woman who had suffered a rape would go out and ally herself to a man who had just been exposed as a sexual predator by bragging about sexually assaulting women and getting away with it because "he's a star"? No woman would do that, if anything, that woman would have come out loudly against both Clinton and Trump.

So my question is, were those women paid by Trump for their appearances, and if so, how much, and will he have to declare it as part of his campaign expenditures? Is their a watchdog group for that kind of thing at the national level?

Best letter EVER - NYT lawyer's response to Trump's lawyer -

    Marc E. Kasowitz, Esq.
    Kasowitz, Benson, Torres Friedman LLP
    1633 Broadway
    New York, NY 10019-6799

    Re: Demand for Retraction

    Dear Mr. Kasowitz:

I write in response to your letter of October 12, 2016 to Dean Baquet concerning your client Donald Trump, the Republican Party nominee for President of the United States.

You write concerning our article “Two Women Say Donald Trump Touched Them Inappropriately” and label the article as “libel per se.” You ask that we “remove it from (our) website, and issue a full and immediate retraction and apology.” We decline to do so.

The essence of a libel claim, of course, is the protection of one’s reputation. Mr. Trump has bragged about his non-consensual sexual touching of women. He has bragged about intruding on beauty pageant contestants in their dressing rooms. He acquiesced to a radio host’s request to discuss Mr. Trump’s own daughter as a “piece of ass.” Multiple women not mentioned in our article have publicly come forward to report on Mr. Trump’s unwanted advances. Nothing in our article has had the slightest effect on the reputation that Mr. Trump, through his own words and actions, has already created for himself.

But there is a larger and much more important point here. The women quoted in our story spoke out on an issue of national importance — indeed, an issue that Mr. Trump himself discussed with the whole nation watching during Sunday night’s presidential debate. Our reporters diligently worked to confirm the women’s accounts. They provided readers with Mr. Trump’s response, including his forceful denial of the women’s reports. It would have been a disservice not just to our readers but to democracy itself to silence their voices. We did what the law allows: We published newsworthy information about a subject of deep public concern. If Mr. Trump disagrees, if he believes that American citizens had no right to hear what these women had to say and that the law of this country forces us and those who would dare to criticize him to stand silent or be punished, we welcome the opportunity to have a court set him straight.

    Sincerely,

    David E. McCraw

Michelle Obama: The Clinton surrogate that could finish off Trump

.... Michelle Obama "The Closer." This year, Hillary Clinton may well designate her most popular surrogate the starter, the reliever and the pinch-hitter, too.

I don't know why Hillary doesn't sit down for one of those newsy talk shows and state her case regarding these decades old allegations. She could easily dispel these accusations that she was involved in somehow silencing or attacking these women if she in fact did not. I remember the Clinton Presidency well, and do not remember her involvement. Bill Clinton was a pretty damn good President in my memory, and I really didn't care about the consensual sex he had while president, the only issue I took with it was that Monica was essentially a subordinate, albeit one who bragged about it. I thought the whole impeachment affair was just more partisan bullshit by Republicans who were all having affairs themselves. I'm so glad the Obamas have stayed above the fray while in office.

What the heck do they teach young bad boys sent to military school? or even private schools? And charter schools using public money? What the heck are they teaching our young men women and children? Respect of others must first start at home and continue throughout our public and private school system.
