John McCain promises that Republicans will continue to block any Supreme Court nominee that a President Hillary Clinton might choose, just like they have done with President Obama.

Oh damn, did I say that out loud?
Courtesy of CNN:

"I promise you that we will be united against any Supreme Court nominee that Hillary Clinton, if she were president, would put up," McCain said. "I promise you. This is where we need the majority."

This was said during an interview on 1210 WPHT Philadelphia radio, and later the Senator's office tried to walk the statement back:

"Senator McCain believes you can only judge people by their record and Hillary Clinton has a clear record of supporting liberal judicial nominees," communications director Rachael Dean told TPM in a statement. "That being said, Senator McCain will, of course, thoroughly examine the record of any Supreme Court nominee put before the Senate and vote for or against that individual based on their qualifications as he has done throughout his career."

Yeah you know I tend to think that what McCain said in this unguarded moment is probably a lot closer to the truth then that prepared statement issued by his office to save his ass.

Remember the Republicans have been blocking the confirmation of Merrick Garland since way back in February, and clearly have no intention of EVER letting a Democrat choose another Supreme Court justice.

In other words they have no intention of DOING THEIR DAMN JOBS. Not now and not once Hillary becomes out next President.

Just another reminder of why it is so very important for the Democrats to regain control of the Senate.

Oh, and Fuck John McCain!

And the Republicans, who have steadfastly refused to cooperate with the Democrats, have now reaped what they have sown. So much for their "strategy" after losing the last 2 presidential elections. They are the party of Obstruction and have been reduced to having a "base" that is so base that it supports a total asshat like Donald Trump for the party's presidential nominee. Lots of luck gang of old white men. Let's just hope that in addition to the presidency that you lose the Senate and maybe the House if we get lucky because that's the only damned way that the country can move forward. Maybe now the Republican Party (the party of Lincoln LOL) will learn their lesson. Or else you can all just join the yahoos watching Trump TV.

There are Republicans that are also tired of these asshats taking their paychecks and not doing their jobs. They are also tired of the obstruction and want Merrick Garland either confirmed or denied but at least getting a hearing.

They aren't going to vote for Trump in the hope the obstructionism will stop.

Instead, they will vote out their congresspeople who aren't doing their jobs despite a yearly salary most of these people will never hope to see.

I hope this little soundbite is McCain's downfall. Go ahead and try to walk it back. You're done, old man, and Arizona is going to vote BLUE.

Keith Olbermann: ‘Dracula’-like Kellyanne Conway would rather destroy Clinton than elect Trump

Some of Donald Trump’s chief advisors appear to be more interested in damaging their longtime nemesis, Hillary Clinton, than getting the Republican presidential nominee elected.

In his latest video posted on GQ, Keith Olbermann demonstrated the links between Trump’s presidential campaign and the so-called right-wing conspiracy that tried — and failed — to bring down Bill and Hillary Clinton in the 1990s.

“While certainly they want to defeat Hillary, relitigating the Bill Clinton legacy for the 4,000th time and beating her up and beating him up is almost as satisfying,” Olbermann said.

Olbermann recalled conservative commentator Laura Ingraham, who he was dating at the time, explaining what he needed to know in 1998 about the “vast right-wing conspiracy” working to bring down President Bill Clinton.

Ingraham showed him a fax machine, where rumors and allegations were disseminated and then injected into the media conversation by Matt Drudge.

She explained there were only about a dozen conspirators involved, including pollster and opposition researcher Kellyanne Fitzpatrick and disgraced political investigator David Bossie.

Fitzpatrick went on to marry attorney George Conway, who had represented Paula Jones in her lawsuit against Bill Clinton, and Bossie became the director of the conservative Citizens United activist group.

They now serve as Trump’s campaign manager and deputy campaign manager — and Olbermann suspects the real estate developer and former reality TV star might be something of a victim in their ongoing efforts to destroy the Clintons.

Well, if you've been listening to Trump and his supporters, they wouldn't mind rescinding the 1st amendment and muzzling/controlling the media and rescinding the 19th amendment because they don't want to risk another woman possibly winning the Oval Office because women have the right to vote. I'm sure repealing the 13th amendment will following quickly behind. After all, those minorities might vote for a Democrat and we can't gerrymander, suppress voter registration, and intimidate voters on election day forever.

Yep, you heard him. Trump is looking to make the U.S. into Germany in the 30s. Camps for Muslims, rounded up humanely of course. A big honkin' wall. Gold plated even. Maybe even "Trump Youth" mandatory after school clubs to make sure our children are indoctrinated properly so they vote correctly.

      That's the one.

The one Trump wouldn't endorse for the longest time.

The one that said publicly that he’ll back the nominee. In a private recording obtained by Politico, however, he frets that Trump endangers his reelection effort, while his former top aide Mark Salter is backing Clinton. (May 5, 2016)

The one that released a scorching statement criticizing Trump for his comments about Gold Star parents Khizr and Ghazala Khan, but he did not revoke his support. (August 1, 2016) (And still he wouldn't unendorse him.)

No, it took Trump's potty mouth for McCain to finally grow a backbone. Although it's probably the fact that Trump's statements were damaging to McCain's re-election bid that really convinced him to withdraw his endorsement. (October 8, 2016)

The one that opened the door to a Trump run by bringing Sarah Palin to national attention because he was too lazy to vet properly or just jerked off when he saw her picture.

He's another ME FIRST, then the party, then the country fucking Republican.

I so hope Trump destroys McCain's type of the Republican Party. Let them go off with their Teabagger bastards. This will either purify the party or destroy it. Either way the Democrats are going to be in the oval office for a while.

Why should we have to keep these ya-hoos until they die or too senile to even know what is going on.
Trump is not going away on November 9 - he will just be starting to spew his hatred on the Republican Party and Hillary and do everything to bring them down and screw them over. After all, that seems to be the "Trump way of doing business."
