Let's end our day with some video and pictures of our President demonstrating what public service is all about.

Here are some pictures courtesy of The Obama Diary:

Greatest President of my lifetime.

He and Michelle both have such beautiful warm and welcoming smiles. Love them both and know how badly we are going to miss them.

There will be no comparison to them in our future and that will be our sad part!

The Obamas spend Thanksgiving helping people. What did Drumpf and Melanoma do?

Those two went to their Mar-Al-Lago resort, enjoying peace and quiet from overflight planes, thanks to us tax payers!

"what public service is all about"

Unlike the orange blob who was voted in by legions of fools and is in it only for his own aggrandizement and enrichment. 'Take, take, take' is probably his motto. It's way beyond sad. The fools (and unfortunately the rest of us) will reap what they have sown.

Seriously, I feel traumatized! I'm thankful that I run my own business. I can't imagine having to work alongside people who voted for Trump.
The thought of that man replacing President Obama makes me sick. I can't imagine him and Melania doing this type of public set...:-(

    2. Can you picture Trump doing anything presidential like serving at a soup kitchen, pardoning a turkey, the Easter Egg roll.

We're going to have four years of NO FIRST DOG!

    5. Not trying to be clever.

      I mean a CANINE dog.

Drumpf has never had a pet in his life. There is absolutely no record or documentation of him every having a pet. (Besides his wives and children, of course.)

What does that say about a person?

I know the guy has a fetish with the hand sanitizer.

But the Obama girls were allergic and still the Obamas managed to get not one but two dogs.

Bush had Barney and then Ms. Beazley.

      Even Hitler had a dog.

We're going to have four years of no dog or cat in the white house. No Barney-cam or Bo-cam.

Nothing warm and friendly and innocent to take our attention from the putrid filth the uneducated trash have put in there. (I'm talking to YOU, you faithful electors.)

I'll miss the Obamas. But I'll miss Bo and Sunny.

It says a lot about a person's character who has never owned or cared for a pet their entire life. But then, we already knew that about Drumpf.

One traditional 70's protest song on Thanksgiving worth listening too? "Alice's Restaurant" Arrested for littering on Thanksgiving Day prevented the draftee from the Vietnam war......great sing along from 70's

I always put Arlo on my Facebook Thanksgiving. Also added WKRP "I thought turkeys could fly." :)

    2. Actually, turkeys can fly. WILD turkeys. Not the domesticated bred for meat Thanksgiving turkeys.

That orange P.O.S. went to his Florida resort, where he was 'working very hard' to keep some corporation in the US, who would have stayed anyway.

Ditto: Greatest President of my lifetime.

As i hope to walk the Earth another 30 years, or so, i fear there will never be another POTUS able to measure up to the bar set by our beloved Obama.

    1. Not going to happen in our lifetime. What a truly great man and family. Love emanates from the Obama's and what a contrast to other politicians. Except Biden!

You LOVE her? You can't just say that there was one thing you admired about her and it was the way she manipulated her public persona?

      LMAO!

The only true volunteering on the part of the Palins was to empty/ relieve other peoples wallets.

Because they are not equipped to do actual work of ANY kind.

I hear Bristol volunteered her vagina to every guy in Wasilla.

  11. I agree. Best president of my lifetime. And probably of my daughter's as well.

I wondered the same thing as other commenters: what did Donald and Melania Trump do today to show they care about public service, etc?

Can you see Donald Trump EVER serving food at a shelter or soup kitchen?

Do you think he and his bazillionaire buddies (who are now populating his cabinet like breeding rabbits) even know what a soup kitchen is?

I don't see this nightmare ending any time soon.

It's gonna be hard to see Obama leave office. He has such energy. Now we get to see four years of tired grouchy old white haired men run our country. Sigh.

I grew up in a house with a portrait of JFK hanging near the front door (it's still there at my dad's) and a copper-colored JFK bank sitting on a shelf in the dining room, and there were other Kennedy items here and there in the house. During my adult life I've never felt the desire to have anything like this in my own home, but I am going to find the perfect Obama picture to look at and be reminded of hope through during these nest horrible four years.

I've wanted to hang a Portrait of President Obama before but never really got around to it. I'm going to make this happen now.

Shouldn't you Palins be out shopping? You will need to visit lots of dumpsters for the inaugural ball.
      Special needs, indeed.

Be sure not to give of yourself to anyone this holiday season. After all, it would just be staged and phony, right?

I do seem to recall seeing a staged and phony photo in a soup kitchen a few years back. You know the one with Republican lying Ryan? The only fakers I see are the Republicans who Trumped idiot voters like you. Thanks for turning America into an Oligarchy!

All events like this involving presidents, governors etc... are pure photo op. Seem it first hand many times. It doesn't matter what party. They ALL do it. You naive children.

7:48, you cynical bastard... so sorry you're missing the joy of knowing the Obamas look FORWARD to service, and by god somebody better be there to photograph the multitudinous occasions.

      Hahahaa okaaaay 9:14.

I'm curious, were they there in the early hours prepping and cooking the food? Did they stick around in the back and clean dishes, scrub pots and pans? Did they sweep and mop any floors? Did they stock and sanitize the bathrooms, maybe even plunge a toilet?......... You know all the crap work that all has to be done.... where there are no cameras....

Or, did they show up in the motorcade, and displace other workers in the prime place in line, serving up the turkey and stuffing for 30 or 40 plates and get some good shots in?

      What do you think?
