Kurtz recounts from her book the charge that there were pro-Donald Trump TV hosts who “would arrange with Trump in advance to ask him certain critical questions or do certain hits on him so they would appear to have some credibility.”
He asked if she means they were “play-acting.” Kelly responded, “Yes. It was acting.
”She confirmed it happened at more than one network, but could not divulge any more information. “But trust me,” she added, ‘this did happen, and it’s been confirmed to me by more than one television executive.”
Now you will notice that Kelly did not name any one TV host, nor even identify the station they may or may not have worked for.
However somebody got a wee bit defensive. And by "wee bit" I mean lost their shit completely.
No idea who @megynkelly is talking about. When I asked ?'s about Justices, The wall, Refugees, Obamacare, economy etc I wanted real answers! https://t.co/AZxax2rpur— Sean Hannity (@seanhannity) November 20, 2016
I would love to know who was "Acting". https://t.co/AZxax2rpur— Sean Hannity (@seanhannity) November 20, 2016
Curious who she was referring to. I am transparent, I want to defeat Isis, protect the homeland and get people out of poverty and working! https://t.co/tranPp7y2k— Sean Hannity (@seanhannity) November 20, 2016
I'm just curious. All year long I talked about the number of people not working in poverty on food stamps I wanted real answers and got them https://t.co/62F0etYnxS— Sean Hannity (@seanhannity) November 20, 2016
Damn, talk about having no poker face.I would also like to know what people were offered by DT, I was never offered a thing. Never stayed at a DT property played a DT golf course https://t.co/62F0etYnxS— Sean Hannity (@seanhannity) November 20, 2016
Sean Hannity might as well have Oh God she's talking about me!" tattooed across his forehead.
However to be fair I don't think that he is alone.
I think that Bill O'Reilly, most of the other talking heads on Fox, and Joe Scarborough from MSNBC are also guilty of play acting as well.
Sean Hannity is morphing into Donald Trump's favorite method of addressing the world. Or is it outer space? Who knows? If he wants to talk to Megyn Kelly, he should call her up and ask her outright if she was referring to him. Not brave enough, then channel Trump and tweet to the universe.
ReplyDeleteBeaglemom
"Blood out of her everywhere." Think we're going to forget that, Sean? I guess you're okay with that.
DeleteSean Hannity appears guilty as Hell!
DeleteMegyn Kelly had much information to reveal about Trump and Fox News that she "didnt want to be the focus" until it was time to release her book and make a buck off of those very stories. She is a sniveling, hypocritical bitch who is no better than Trump, Ailes, Hannity or O'Reilly.
DeleteDonald just letting you know McCain was not playing around and neither is America. We would put you back into court and you can't afford American citizens suing you.
ReplyDeleteOn Waterboarding, A President Trump Could Face Resistance From Some Republicans
November 21, 20162:46 PM ET
As he campaigned for president, Donald Trump spoke favorably about using waterboarding, torture and "much stronger" techniques on terrorism suspects. But in addition to likely legal challenges if Trump attempts to bring those practices back, two prominent Republican senators signaled he could face opposition from within his own party.
On Saturday, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) got animated at the Halifax International Security Forum, when a moderator asked about waterboarding and what powers congress has to "reign in a president who does things which you find intolerable?"
McCain, who chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee, pointed to the Geneva Conventions and an amendment passed last year by congress, restricting interrogation methods to those listed in the Army Field Manual.
"If they started waterboarding, I swear to you there's a whole bunch of us that would have them in court in a New York minute," said McCain. "So I don't give a damn what the president of the United States wants to do or anybody else wants to do, we will not waterboard, we will not torture. We will not torture people."
McCain added that torture "doesn't work."
Trump and his nominee for CIA director Congressman Mike Pompeo disagree.

I always thought Joe Scarborough wasn't playing straight when it came to Trump - talking about him or interviewing him in person or on the friggin' phone!
ReplyDeleteDon't know why anyone would watch their weekly morning show! He's full of baloney most the time and I feel sorry for the blond working with him - whom he seems to try and discredit often! A typical older, white Republican male - they all emit the same vibes!
Yeah, he cuts in on people. Then he must be heard and all silenced as he speaks. But I still watch.
DeleteGood to hear. Chris Christie who was organizing the transition of the next administration had selected some lobbyists among the people he was bringing in and he was then replaced by Pence who has removed the lobbyists. I think it's important to make sure right from the start that none of those political operatives/manipulators get their foot in the door as that kind of stuff will just spread. I hope they can keep this up. Not easy when working with politicians, many of whom have been corrupt for a long time and still have political debts and get benefits from granting favours.
ReplyDeleteThe shameless New York Times is continuing to write unsubstantiated reports based on anonymous sources that are attempted to create strife and divisiveness among the new administration and to create doubt, suspicion and negativity among the public. Cleaning out Washington is not going to be easy. Many people, including media, entertainment, big business as well as of course politicians, benefit from that corruption and manipulation and they are all going to fight against the change; change which is beneficial to the general public.
"The shameless New York Times is continuing to write unsubstantiated reports based on anonymous sources that are attempted to create strife and divisiveness among the new administration and to create doubt, suspicion and negativity among the public"
DeleteBULLSHIT!
All such news sources tend to be anonymous. It's called protecting the source. And with the vindictiveness shown so far by the orange orangutan they best remain anonymous.
1:36 you read my mind so eloquently
Delete@12:33 Are you brain dead?
DeleteYour hero trump is more corrupt than all the Washington insiders put together.
Guilty much, Hannity?
ReplyDeleteWhat a nasty ratbag this man is . . . .
From what I saw, many at CNN were on the dRUMPf payroll as well.
ReplyDeleteAnd . . . .
ReplyDeleteThis is like Hilary calling Trump a puppet. When Trump went off babbling "No puppet. No Puppet. No Puppet".
I hold the media responsible along with the russians and FBI for the “election” of Trump.
ReplyDeleteThey failed and sold out the American public by not taking trump seriously during the primaries, they gave him hours of free air time, never asked any tough questions, allowed him to spread his lies without holding him accountable.
Every time traitor trump and the republicans cry “bias, liberal media”, I have to laugh because the media is so bias towards them it isn’t even hidden anymore.
I guess trump is meeting with network executives to make sure they don’t hurt his feelings the next 4 years:

I am worried. He is gonna censore I bet.
DeleteHistory is already judging these fools and seditious tyrants.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of Tweets.
ReplyDeleteMethinks the ignorant git doth protest too much.
Trump just had a private meeting with network heads and main talent.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you want to bet he warned them not to criticize him or there would be hell to pay? Bet he played the bully and told them if they crossed him he'd make them sorry.
Yep, the fascism is starting and he hasn't even been sworn in yet.
And not one electoral college elector will have the courage to do their job and save this nation.

Here's the list. Look like team players and brown nosers to me.
Here are some of the attendees:
ABC News: “Good Morning America” co-host George Stephanopoulos, “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir, chief global affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz
NBC News: President Deborah Turness, “NBC Nightly News” host Lester Holt, “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd
CBS News: “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson, “CBS This Morning” co-hosts Charlie Rose, Norah O’Donnell and Gayle King, Washington bureau chief Christopher Isham
Fox News: Co-presidents Bill Shine and Jack Abernethy, EVP of news and editorial Jay Wallace, and executive Jay Wallace and EVP Suzanne Scott
CNN: President Jeff Zucker and anchors Wolf Blitzer and Erin Burnett
MSNBC: President Phil Griffin
Huff Po linked to a story that cited insider comments that the meeting was a "Total Disaster" and that Trump belittled and called them all liars.
Deletehttp://nypost.com/2016/11/21/donald-trumps-media-summit-was-a-f-ing-firing-squad/
It is incredible, so presidential; he called them “dishonest, deceitful liars”.
DeleteAre they going to wake up and stop catering to his whims and lies or are they going to start fact checking and reporting the news?
He really went after CNN, network of liars, which is strange since Cory worked there to propagate his lies. This makes me believe it is a cover up, that CNN is already working as the trump propaganda machine.

Trump Explodes And Turns Off The Record Meeting With TV Networks Into A Total Disaster
The members of the networks expected to negotiate presidential press access during their meeting with the President-elect. What they got was a Trump-style temper tantrum where his disrespect for the free press was on full display.

DeleteWell, I can't really say I'm surprised. Went a lot worse than I had anticipated.
Hannity is a mealy mouthed slime ball.
ReplyDeleteMethinks the ladyman doth protest too much.
ReplyDeleteTUCK FRUMP
ReplyDeleteSean Hannity is a tool. "Look to the Urban Dictionary, my brothers and sisters. It knows all. A tool is "one who lacks the mental capacity to know he is being used." Yep, that describes Hannity!
ReplyDeleteOf course we saw it with Palin. Then laughter behind the scenes.
ReplyDeleteSean Hannity is protesting too much.
ReplyDeleteAs for Kelly, tell me something we don't know.
We all know he was given softball questions and probably had them in advance. All of his interviews were set ups, done deals, shams.
Not only that, but the media gave Trump way too much media attention and their biased coverage made him look way too credible. No candidate with his baggage, his behavior and his rhetoric would have been viable EVER, but they gave him a pass on so much, they built him up to make him look like he was equal to Hillary Clinton.
Who knows what they agreed to at Trump's secret meeting when he called all the major players on the carpet and read them the riot act. Probably to play ball and lay off Melania and Barron. Also that he would make them pay five times over if they dared to criticize him.
Now, I wasn't there, but knowing Trump I wouldn't be surprised if this is basically what went down.
