President Obama and Vice President Biden are finally reviewing the proof of Donald Trump's ties to Russia. Well good thing they didn't wait too long.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are reviewing the Democratic Coalition’s investigative report highlighting 10 “clear links” that the FBI failed to investigate about our President-elect’s business ties to Russia, and to the Putin regime.

It’s named “The Dworkin Report.”

“The FBI missed at least 10 key connections between President-elect Trump and Russia when they conducted their investigation and concluded that our President-elect had no links to the country,” said Scott Dworkin, Senior Advisor to the Democratic Coalition and author of the report. “It is imperative that the American people be made aware of this information.”

The Dworkin Report shows that Donald Trump has incorporated almost 250 registered businesses in Russia.

This hard evidence directly contradicts Trump’s prior statements about having no business ties to Russia over the summer.

Additionally, the evidence shows that Trump has traveled to Russia dating back to 1987, before the end of the Soviet Union.

So the FBI failed to report those ties before the election?

Is this the same FBI whose director sent letters to Congress which helped destroy the Democratic candidate's chances of winning the presidential election?

Are we talking about THAT FBI?

Wow, isn't that a coincidence.

One connection could be overlooked. Maybe two. But 10?

But this is troubling in more than one way: how were Obama/Biden able to so easily find these connections when the FBI missed them? Feels like either the FBI really didn't try that hard or Obama/Biden are pushing tenuous connections that may not amount to much. Guess I better read the article.

    1. Obama/Biden didn't find these connections. They READ A REPORT.

The FBI generated the report, or someone in the FBI did, and it was IGNORED.

The FBI rigged this election as much if not more than the Russians did.

Well, well, well, wouldn't that be something if they impeach Traitor Trump before the the inauguration :)

Wouldn't it be nice if they somehow find Pence is had prior knowledge of Traitor Trump's misdeeds and election rigging.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if the electoral college chooses the winner of the popular vote.

I know it won't happen, but who knows stranger things have happened.

Well worth a read here. The two myths being debunked by the way are:
      1. That the DNC rigged the primaries in Clinton's favor, and
      2. That Bernie would have beaten Trump.

      Delete
    2. Anonymous2:03 PM

I don't think Bernie would have won - too much would have come out against him showing he truly has been a failure while serving in Congress. He's not done a thing there and isn't looked upon well by others serving in their positons - to include both parties!

I find him too idealistic and what he wanted done, would never have gotten through Congress.

I feel so badly for those that will be hurt by this Trump Regime. I feel guilty sitting back and realizing that nothing that happens, short of nuclear winter, will affect me or my family.

I wish there was a way to make it better for those who will be devastated ,but hey, I voted for Hillary, my entire family did, even though neither choice would change our lives we tried to do the right thing.

Peace be with all of you that will find life a much different existence than you did prior to Trump.

My only hope and my best hope for you is that this whole thing will fall apart before it even happens, although what might come after him will be worse than even Trump himself.

It's a terrible conundrum and I hope to see many of you on the other side of it.

Anon at 2:08 pm, unless you are living on another planet you will probably be affected by this Trump presidency. Just think of the effects on health care and retirement if the ACA, Social Security and Medicare are gutted. Just think of living in a country or world where the US no longer has federal regulations addressing food, medicine, workplace safety or the environment. Just think of living in a world where climate change is allowed to continue unabated because some religious fundamentalist reject science. Just think of living in a world where nuclear weapons once again proliferate. Just think of living in a country where bullying becomes the norm and where the most the president will say about it is "stop it." Welcome to Trump's America - post noon on January 20, 2017. The poet John Donne once wrote that "no man is an island, complete unto himself." No one will be spared - we're all on this planet together.

    New York Times:
Russian Officials Were in Contact With Trump Allies, Diplomat Says

    By IVAN NECHEPURENKO
    NOVEMBER 10, 2016

MOSCOW — The Russian government maintained contacts with members of Donald J. Trump’s “immediate entourage” during the American presidential campaign, one of Russia’s top diplomats said Thursday.

“There were contacts,” Sergei A. Ryabkov, the deputy foreign minister, was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency. “We continue to do this and have been doing this work during the election campaign,” he said.

Mr. Ryabkov said officials in the Russian Foreign Ministry were familiar with many of the people he described as Mr. Trump’s entourage. “I cannot say that all, but a number of them maintained contacts with Russian representatives,” Mr. Ryabkov said....

Still, some advisers to Mr. Trump have had contact with the Russian government. Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn, a retired intelligence officer and an adviser to Trump on security issues, was seated next to Mr. Putin during an anniversary dinner in Moscow for the English-language satellite television network, RT, in December 2015. And Paul Manafort, Mr. Trump’s former campaign chairman, had previously been a paid consultant to former President Viktor F. Yanukovych of Ukraine, a Kremlin ally before he was ousted in a civic uprising....

Dmitri S. Peskov, spokesman for Mr. Putin, compared Mr. Trump’s victory speech after the election to a recent speech by Mr. Putin. “It is phenomenal, to what extent, it appears they are close in their conceptual approaches to foreign policy,” Mr. Peskov told journalists in New York, where he was attending a chess championship. The two leaders’ similarities, he said, could help improve relations between Moscow and Washington.

The Russian president had been among the first world leaders to congratulate Mr. Trump on his stunning victory in a bitter presidential campaign in which Mr. Trump made improved relations with Russia a centerpiece of his bid for office.

Mr. Trump repeatedly praised Mr. Putin during the campaign, saying he is a stronger leader than President Obama. In October, Mr. Trump said that should he win, he would consider meeting with the Russian president ahead of the inauguration

Alright, because the truth matters: hunted down the "she's ahead by 2 million votes" story and think I can report fairly what happened. HuffPo published a story that speculated about what the outcome of the popular vote might end up being based on estimates of votes remaining to be counted and in which states. It estimated that by the time all those votes were counted, Clinton's lead might - the operative word is might -grow to 1.8 million votes. When someone condensed this for twitter, the claim was "Clinton leads by 2 million votes". This was as untrue Saturday as it is today but it spread like wildfire and became the gospel of the lord. However, it's completely wrong. By a longshot.

HuffPo has revised the story and added a note to the bottom of their story clarifying the 1.8 million was an estimate.
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/hillary-clinton-popular-vote-victory_us_5827a2c5e4b02d21bbc91bbc

The real, current vote total being tracked by the AP is here:
    http://www.pbs.org/newshour/features/2016-election-results/

You can see Clinton leads by ~680,00o votes as of 4:30 this afternoon. But today, as you can learn by rolling over the states, there are substantially fewer outstanding uncounted votes left than there were Saturday. Stay tuned to AP.

And I'd also suggest people stop getting their news from twitter. Twitter is no more reliable than a game of telephone. You know how that always turns out!

Social media is a butt-sniffing feedback loop whereby people see what they want to.
It's a scourge and I can't believe how many people still engage in it.

I found out in 2010 that Facebook was just a dump of terribleness and I deleted my account.

I signed up for Twitter in 2006 but have never used that account; it makes me laugh that I still get emails regarding "people you might want to follow on Twitter" when I signed up in 2006 and have never sent a tweet.

That just tells you how desperate the purveyors of social media platforms are to find automatons to follow other's leads; 10 years, not a tweet yet they still waste the energy to send messages to my email? It's such a joke.

I do fully believe the problem with humanity today stems from a reliance on social media.

Tune out, turn off, delete your social media accounts. Six years, after deleting my Facebook, I feel so much better about things that do those that seem to live on the social network.

Out of my immediate family, my father is the only one on Facebook and neither of his children, nor his wife, have accounts.

During his press conference that just ended, I was glad to hear Pres Obama emphasize the idea of it being made very hard to succeed in Syria with Russia's involvement. Most of the press conference was good and Obama was able to repeatedly get across, without ticking off Trump's fans, the need for Trump to now operate in the real world and not the world of his campaign that made every problem sound so easy to solve.

The pres, as always, showed how smart and at ease he is talking about dealing with so any things to juggle at once. The entire time, I had to think that trump was at home watching and wanting to get a clue as to handle himself. He has no vocabulary or depth. If he could be honest with himself while watching, he had to have admitted to himself that Obama is way beyond his league.

All this said, I was so disappointed and even angry that women were barely talked about during this presser. Multiple times, it would seem as if Obama might actually mention women and their concerns and their right to their bodies, but he'd mention someone else instead. He used the word "women" as one of several groups in a list of different groups Trump would now have to give consideration. He only used that word, "women," so very generally. He at one point used the word "mammograms" when talking about the good parts of the ACA. He said that word in another general list of things. He didn't mention reproductive rights or women's rights as a whole. He would now and then mention other groups but he stayed away from ever saying that a woman having a right to make her own decisions must remain intact. He didn't mention the Supreme Court and gay marriage, as far as I heard, either, and so he may have been avoiding certain topics today for a reason. But to hear him mention so many other groups and to be a woman and hear this press conference about the scummy pres-elect, who treats women like dirt, and not hear Obama use that podium to stand up for us, for the female population, really ticked me off.

And remember his wife's extraordinary speech in response the the Billy Bush taped interview with Trump.

The nepotism laws forbid him putting them on his cabinet or giving them some positions. So no need for them to have the same clearance he and the cabinet do.

This may be the offense that results in Trump's impeachment. If he shares Top Secret date with the kids when they have no clearance. He'll probably figure "well, if Hillary can do it, so can I" like it's the same as her e-mails.

I think this Dworkin Report is a publicity, self-promotion scheme. Scott Dworkin is a fundraiser with some campaign experience, not a journalist. The Huff Po "article" is by Grant Stern on HuffPo's contributor platform. It's not a news article. Coincidentally this same bunch claimed back in October they had an exclusive, damning story about Trump Chinese imports. Fizzle.

The "Report" is a dot-connecting exercise of information available from some public interviews and articles. It's not very well written and even a true believer would have to admit connecting the dots required contortions of cirq d soleil proportions.

Then he puts a cover memo addressed to the president and vice president, puts it up on Scribd and claims they're reviewing it. Sorry folks. Anyone can send a "report", a card, a letter to the president. Posting a picture of your letter isn't proof the president ever read it.

The other thing that tells us it's not as big a deal as they're trying to promote is no legitimate news org has picked up the story. No, the Inquisitr is not a legitimate news org.

Finally, the website of this Democratic Coalition is amateurish. http://www.keepamericagreat.us/our-team

So why are they doing it? To generate interest in their PAC and get free publicity from HuffPo, Twitter, blogs like this one, Clinton supporters who are desperate to believe all this Russia commie foolishness. What's their aim? Donations.

You've been played. I can't believe how easily you folks are fooled. Check yourselves because you're showing you'd be easy marks for a con man.
