Sarah Palin gets herself all excited and has herself a gusher over the possibility of a Trump administration raping the planet a little harder.

Courtesy of the fracking moron's Facebook page:

Drill, Baby Drill! American Made Energy Makes America Great Again (Not to be all science-y or anything but you cannot MAKE energy. You can only release energy or harness energy.)

Permian, ANWR, Prudhoe, Bakkan.... and so much more. NOW is the time to shut off the Saudi oil cartel flow valve and develop our own God-given natural resources. The only excuse not to become energy independent is a political excuse. (Exactly which is why President Obama spent so much of his time and political capital toward developing renewable energy sources. But of course that's not what she means is it?)

The inherent link between energy and security, and energy and prosperity, is real and recognized by every American except sketchy politicians and deceived faux environmentalists. We have the resources, we have the technology, we have the manpower. America has the highest environmental and worker safety standards in the world... it's time to say, "Screw Arab oil. We're making America great again!" We've always led in oil, gas and mineral development innovation. Let's tap it. (There is a reason those are called "fossil fuels," because they are rapidly becoming old and outdated. Kind of like your moldy old catch phrases.)

Politics have kept us beholden to countries that do not like us and use energy as a weapon. It's a farce when Pres. Obama and other progressives claim we're not reliant on those resources anymore. And a sicker farce is the claim we must go to war over oil. (Okay well that "sicker farce" was a product of the George W. Bush administration, NOT the Obama administration. Let's put the blame where it belongs.)

Shut off foreign rulers' flow that has kept their peasants poor and terrorizingly (Not a word.) desperate, and watch the world become a safer place.  (Do you know what else might help to accomplish that? Abolishing religion. Just a thought.)

And here at home, shovel out the BS "Peak Oil" claim that demands we abandon conventional energy sources in favor of unrealistic, uneconomic, unreliable, lobbyist- driven green energy boondoggles. ("Peak oil" is the point in time when the maximum rate of extraction of petroleum is reached, after which it is expected to enter terminal decline. Some would suggest that we have already reached it or are about to reach it soon.)  Drill now while we shore up realistic renewables for a legitimate "all of the above" future energy plan. (Why waste more money drilling up dirty oil, and mining pollution causing coal, which damages our environment when we are making such progress with renewable energy sources that leave the atmosphere virtually untouched, the blogger asked himself knowing that using logic and facts like that would only confuse and anger the co-author of this Facebook post.)

Be ready for faux environmentalists - with their disdain for American jobs dressed in Carhartts and steel toed boots - to target this massive Texas find, despite all commonsense and responsible reason to explore and produce. (Confused "commonsense" and "responsible" with "illogical" and "unnecessary" again.)

It's time to unleash the private sector on new refineries, rigs, pipelines, infrastructure, service provisions, etc... all basic needs for more responsible domestic extraction, and all leading to the USA boom our working class deserves.

Man you can almost feel how excited she is at the prospect of having an administration in place with as little respect for the planet as she has can't you?

You know I thought about simply ignoring this, because you know Sarah Palin who?

However the fact is that she, and others of her ilk, really do now have a sympathetic ear in the White House, and we stand the very real possibility of seeing years of research and development concerning renewable energy tossed aside like one of Donald Trump's former wives.

Trump himself has said that he believes that global warming is a hoax perpetrated by "Jina," so even if he does not choose Palin as the Secretary of the Interior, the person he does pick will very likely be almost as dangerous to our environment.

I just had a terrible thought.

Do we think it conceivable that Trump will believe in Palin's mythological energy bona fides and actually ask her for advice on energy and oil exploration?

Well since he apparently appointed a racist, antisemitic,  misogynistic pig as his adviser I think that seems more than feasible.

Okay how soon will those commercial trips to Mars be available again?

I'm asking for a friend.

I was watching With All Due Respect (hosted by a liberal and conservative duo) and they talked about the Haley thing. They tried not laughing too hard at the fact that she's now who Trump has to consider. She's proof that the rumor that Trump has few qualified people wanting to work in his admin is true. She's simply not qualified. She's a woman, finally, and a woman of color, plus she's not as conservative as most others Trump's looking at, but come on--she has no foreign affairs experience and she's just not top shelf, not fit for this Cabinet position.

Just watched Hillary's first public speaking event, for the Children's Defense Fund, since last week. It was amazing, and her final story brought tears. It's mind-blowing that, no matter what she said and had available as info for people to read that she had a plan to help them, people voted for Drumpf. Just as the Repubs lie about Obama deportation numbers, they lie about the oil numbers here at home. And she also seems to have forgotten that some companies pulled out of the idea of drilling because their own studies showed there was hardly any oil in those spots and it just wasn't worth going after. She ought to review the reality of things here:

"Peak Oil" is a fact and nothing has happened to change that fact.

IN FACT, peak oil was predicted to be exactly what is happening: With declining supply, rising prices will push energy companies to using new technologies to exploit less-productive fields, resulting in a temporary (8-10 years) glut of oil and falling prices, then, the boom will end. This is EXACTLY what we are seeing with fracking as fields begin to play out (Bakkan is an example).

Sarah Palin is too dumb for words.

And another thing . . . Trump is supposed to meet with the Japanese Prime Minister in NYC on Thursday. As of late Wednesday night:
-- no time or place set
-- Japanese embassy does not know when or where
-- Trump has not been briefed on US-Japan relations
-- State Department has no idea about when, where

Here are a few facts about Japan:
-- most important US ally in Asia
-- 45,000 US troops; two carrier battle groups; one fleet; one air force; one Marine division; Japanese pay ALL costs for US troops in Japan
-- more US intell operations in Japan that in any other country

But, hey, you can buy a bracelet from Ivanka.

And -- neither State Dept nor Defense Dept has been contacted by the Trump transition team, which is locked up in Trump Tower, engaged in internecine knife fights.

She needs the facts on everything, just as all those people in coal country need to get the coal reality through their heads. The US demand for coal has been down for a long time. A few years ago, China's seemingly insatiable demand came to a standstill (and anyone who had invested in mutual funds for Chinese companies saw that they were not making much money anymore and many of those people switched to different funds). India's left but has resources of their own. This oil site--they should know--says the coal industry is dead:

My feeling is the retard preaches to stop using Middle East oil and use ours all up. Why not use some of ours and some of there's so we can preserve what we have for our future generations?

Once we use up our oil then the the Middle East has our hands tied behind our backs and now they control the price of oil and can ask whatever price they want because we don't have any more. Thanks to the cross eyed energy expert.

Sarah Palin is America's energy expert according to Sarah Palin.

Once Sarah Palin quit her job as the governor of Alaska, Sarah as America's renowned energy expert could have named her own price to work for any energy/oil company in America. But what does Sarah Palin do with her talents? Sarah used her oil talents to star in Sarah Palin's Alaska.

Once Sarah Palin's Alaska fell on it's face, Sarah tried and failed at other reality ventures only to end as an unpaid writer in her Facebook for many years.

Oil companies should have been beating down Sarah Palin's door, tripping over each other and clawing the eyes out of each other just for the right to employ Sarah Palin.

If Sarah Palin was 1/1,000,000th as good as she said she is, she would be the top executive officer of a Fortune 500 oil company instead of writing in her Facebook like a junior high school girl.

Donald Trump why do you think Sarah Palin hasn't had a paid job even as a gas station attendant? Because she's a fuck up like her family.

Yeah, the North Slope flow is decreasing, the cheap oil on the North Slope is running out. Silly Sarah the so called "energy expert" doesn't realize what drilling oil and gas and mining coal everywhere in the US will do to Alaskan oil production.

Alaskan oil is expensive to produce and transport. Increasing energy production anywhere means falling prices for Alaskan oil, so... well...she couldn't come up with a better way to fuck Alaska and Alaskans if she tried.

There are still plenty of untapped reservoirs on the north slope and its offshore waters, however, none of the oil companies are interested in $50 oil, and not even Sarah Palin could change their minds.

Remember she fucked them hard on taxes when she was our Governor, I seriously doubt that any of the oil execs have forgotten that so there is zero incentive for anyone in the oil industry to work with Sarah Palin, quite the opposite.

KATIE COURIC: Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin can you name a specific Supreme Court case you disagreed with besides Roe v. Wade?

SARAH PALIN: “Well, let’s see. There’s –of course –in the great history of American rulings there have been rulings, that’s never going to be absolute consensus by every American.” “And there are–those issues, again, like Roe v Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know–going through the history of America, there would be others but–”

KATIE COURIC: “Can you think of any?” (Couric interjected)

SARAH PALIN: “Well, I could think of–of any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level, maybe I would take issue with,” “But you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a vice president, if I’m so privileged to serve, wouldn’t be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today.”

HELLOOOO RETAWD! As a residence of Alaska, if you read the papers or watched the news on tv instead of Baywatch you would have known about the Exxon Valdez oil spill that occurred in Prince William Sound, Alaska, on Good Friday, March 24, 1989, when Exxon Valdez, an oil tanker bound for Long Beach, California, struck Prince William Sound's Bligh Reef at 12:04 am local time and spilled 11 to 38 million US gallons (260,000 to 900,000 bbl; 42,000 to 144,000 m3) of crude oil over the next few days. It is considered to be one of the most devastating human-caused environmental disasters. The Valdez spill was the largest in US waters until the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, in terms of volume released. However, Prince William Sound's remote location, accessible only by helicopter, plane, or boat, made government and industry response efforts difficult and severely taxed existing plans for response. The region is a habitat for salmon, sea otters, seals and seabirds. The oil, originally extracted at the Prudhoe Bay oil field, eventually covered 1,300 miles (2,100 km) of coastline, and 11,000 square miles (28,000 km2) of ocean.

NAME A DAMN SUPREME COURT CASE WILL YA!

How damn dumb. Bristol's mother can't even name the Exxon Valdez oil spill as the Supreme Court case she should be familiar with.

The U.S. consumes over 19 million barrels per day of oil. We produce, even with the fracking boom, only 9 million barrels per day. So we MUST import oil to meet demand (or use dramatically less, which means a revamp and re-tooling of all of our current systems).

Also, oil is a global commodity: producing more in the U.S. will just cause the price to drop, as seen with the fracking boom and the response from Saudi Arabia. Oil companies are not very interested in producing more at a lower price. Frackers tend to be heavily in debt, and fracking is expensive-to-get oil (i.e., not profitable at today's prices). Same with deep sea and Arctic drilling.

"Interest" indicates the number of people who viewed an Ivanka Trump product in one of the six online retailers included in the study: Bon-Ton, FragranceNet.com, LastCall, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus, and OnlineShoes. The study reviewed the online behavior of 71,713 ShopRunner members. These numbers do not include post-election behavior.

Does online "interest" correlate with sales? It’s hard to say, though ShopRunner CMO Angela Song told me a few weeks ago that "in e-commerce, browse always comes before purchase. The more people you can get interested in just browsing your products, it definitely is highly correlated with sales."

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/interior-cancels-leases-montana-blackfeet-nation_us_582cd33ce4b058ce7aa9033e?section=us_politics

" In a rare win for Native American rights over the oil industry, the Department of the Interior canceled 15 oil and gas leases in the Badger-Two Medicine area of northwest Montana, land that the Blackfeet Nation considers sacred.

The 130,000 acres are in the Lewis and Clark National Forest, near Glacier National Park. The federal land is home to the Blackfeet tribe’s creation story.

Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell said Wednesday that she was righting a historic wrong in retiring the leases. In the 1980s, under the Reagan administration, the Interior Department issued 47 oil and gas drilling leases in the Badger-Two Medicine region. Although the leases were never developed by the oil production companies that owned them, the possibility has long troubled members of the Blackfeet Nation.

When the leases were issued over 30 years ago, the Interior Department did not consult the Blackfeet Nation or consider the environmental impact."

Yep. They're cancelling the leases from the Reagan era.

Unfortunately it is probably just a reprieve. I anticipate Donald Jr., I mean whoever Trump nominates for the position of Secretary of the Interior won't waste any time selling those leases again. If it's an oil CEO he'll sell them way below "market" for those things. Either to his buddies in pay to play or to his own company in some sort of not so blind trust. It wouldn't be the first violation of Federal law the Trump administration would have committed.

"Jewell was also asked about the escalating protests over the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota. The Standing Rock Sioux and supporters have questioned the process used to approve the pipeline, which they say will damage tribal land and waters.

Jewell said the solidarity many Americans have shown with those protesting the pipeline project demonstrates the importance of establishing and following a process to avoid conflicts over tribal lands.

“If we do things right upfront, we don’t end up with uncertainty for industry,” she said. “If we don’t do things right upfront, we have uncertainty for industry, as was exhibited in Badger-Two Medicine and as I think is playing out right now on the pipeline.”"

Obama should have this pipeline shit resolved in favor or our native Americans before he leaves office. It may be the only legacy he has left.

We have learned to take care of our planet and not destroy it. It would be nice if she would stop her drill nonsense and shut up and go home.

It would help if we knew how trump foundation rates sarah and kellyanne as women. The jaws alone on both should cause a drop of at least 3 percentage points according to the polls. And yet other women in the foundation have much better lines and they have more glamorous positions in the tran team. They wont be worked to winkles and exhaustion. They will have time for spa and pamper, photo ops and fashion shows.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/texas-abortion-lgbtq-rights_us_582c80b1e4b030997bbcb061

" Emboldened by the election of Donald Trump, Republican state lawmakers in Texas kicked off the new legislative filing period on Monday with a trio of bills that would roll back abortion and LGBTQ rights.

State Rep. Byron Cook (R) proposed legislation that would require women to cremate or bury the remains of a fetus after an abortion or miscarriage. The bill, similar to one signed by Vice President-elect Mike Pence when he was governor of Indiana, threatens to fine health providers and remove their medical licenses if they don’t comply. Reproductive rights advocates said the bill has no medical purpose other than to shame a woman for ending her pregnancy.

A second abortion restriction, proposed by State Rep. Matt Schaefer (R), would remove an exception in the state’s 20-week abortion ban for severe fetal anomalies. So if a woman discovers after 20 weeks of pregnancy that her fetus has a life-threatening medical condition, such as a brain malformation, she would be forced to carry the pregnancy to term.

Texas legislators also plan to go after LGBTQ rights in the new legislative session, which begins on Jan. 10. State Sen. Bob Hall (R) introduced a bill that would prevent cities and counties in the state from enacting their own anti-discrimination policies based on sexual orientation or gender discrimination, since state law does not protect these groups, and would repeal local anti-discrimination ordinances that are already in effect. Having “uniform laws,” the bill explains, “will benefit the businesses, organizations, and employers seeking to do business in this state and will attract new businesses, organizations, and employers to this state.” "

"Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who is reportedly being considered for the post of attorney general, said in an interview that Trump’s policy advisers had also discussed drafting a proposal for his consideration to reinstate a registry for immigrants from Muslim countries."

"Kobach helped design the program, known as the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System, while serving in Republican President George W. Bush’s Department of Justice after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States by al Qaeda militants."

And again Palin shows how little she understands about the energy industry.

It's market driven. The price of crude is in the crapper. Companies are laying off people left and right. They are not going to rush to invest in exploration.

    "You know nothing, Sarah Palin."

And what about coal, will she bring it back and kill its competitor, the natural gas industry? Or will she just order in from Taco Bell and hide out.
