A reminder that President Obama brought the jobs back after the LAST Republican president damn near destroyed the economy.

Courtesy of CNN:

The U.S. economy added 178,000 jobs in November, the Labor Department reported Friday, and the unemployment rate fell sharply to 4.6% from 4.9% in October.

It's the lowest rate since August 2007.

Unemployment has been at or below 5% for nearly a year as more people have returned to the job market and hiring has maintained momentum.

November was the 74th consecutive month America added jobs.

"The positive momentum we've seen in the labor market is continuing as 2016 comes to a close," says Sam Bullard, senior economist at Wells Fargo.

Even IF Donald Trump were not a fucking train wreck, which we know he is, the Republicans are histrionically bad at dealing with the economy and driving down unemployment.

Any Trump voter who thought they were voting to bring more jobs back, must have been living in a cave for the last twenty or thirty years.

It should also be pointed out that the best job growth of all time was under President Bill Clinton, and we had the opportunity to put the person who was his co-president in the White House and failed to do so.

Just keep this in mind the first time some Republican starts bitching that jobs are disappearing under president Trump, and then tries to lay the blame at the feet of President Obama.

Well at least Trump isn't, you know, blah.

Americans have just shown the world how exceptionally stupid they are.

We've given up on the NY Times and now start the day with the Washington Post: a little better but not much. This morning there's a big story on why Trump has gotten much more attention for the scam at Carrier (my characterization, not the newspaper's) than President Obama has received for adding 16,000,000 new jobs during his two terms despite the obstruction he's endured from the GOP. We all know it's simply because over the past eight years the media (radio, television and written) has barely mentioned any good economic news, especially job increases. Yet when Trump pulls his scam in Indiana (at the state taxpayers' expense no less) he gets lots of attention and praise. I suspect that the US media has been waiting for a fascist state to salivate over for a long time. We may, God help us, finally have sunk that low. Next time Trump may get 97% of the vote like his pal Vladimir.

Obama has outsmarted the Republican Party one final time. All of those ACA repeal bills that the House has passed since 2011 weren’t worth the paper that they were printed on. What Republicans will pass in January may be nothing more than another show vote.

The GOP has found out that they can’t just get rid of Obamacare.

Even after he is no longer president, the legacy of Barack Obama will continue to defeat the Republican Party.

I was changing channels last night and on Fox they weren't covering the Trump/China debacle. They were talking how Obama and the Dems are going to act as if they have given Trump "a gift" with an improved economy. They were acting as though it was BS and were introducing two guests to talk about it, bu I had no interest in hearing Obama trashed and went on to my originally intended channel.

Obama and the Democrats keep doing themselves in. This should have been shouted out every week before the campaign.

They should have been spending as much time tell people all the good that has been done as the republicans spent lying.

They tried to blame BHO for every screwup George Bush did, and I agree, they will try to blame BHO for all of Trump's screwups.

I'm not sure why that brand of illogic works with conservative/Republican voters and supporters, but it does.
