"Bad candidate" Hillary Clinton is now less than 400,000 votes from President Obama's 2012 total. And may soon surpass it.

Courtesy of the Independent:

Hillary Clinton has 2.7 million more votes than Donald Trump, despite losing the presidential election, and the number is expected to rise.

Ms Clinton is on track to get more votes than president Barack Obama did in 2012. He won 65.9 million, and she is only about 400,000 votes behind him.

The votes are being tallied by David Wasserman for the Cook Political Report. Votes are still streaming in from states like California, New York and Washington due to late counting of mail-in and absentee ballots.

Dave Wasserman also made this prediction.
So answer me this question.

How can you be slammed as being the wrong candidate at the wrong time, and accused of having lost voters that President Obama won, if you come up with almost as many or even more votes than he had?

Currently, according to the Cook Report, Hillary has 65,525,364, which gives her 2,675,035 more votes than Donald Trump, who has 62,850,329.

Which means that while she has almost as many votes as President Obama won in 2012, Trump has 3 million less votes.

And yet HE is the winner, and Hillary is the loser.

Something DEFINITELY needs to change.

And, we are stuck with the asshole, Trump?

Something is horribly wrong and should be changed before Trump is allowed to take the oath of office for POTUS which we know he'll never abide. ***I know nothing can be changed by 1/20/17 - just wishful thinking on my part!

Things are so mess up, I cannot believe it!

We are going to strongly wish we had President Hillary Clinton leading our country! She is so far out in front of Trump (not only by the popular vote!!!) as to leadership, knowledge, foreign affairs experience, ability, kindness, steadiness, common sense and a comforting easy smile.

Damn, but we are in fucking trouble! Impeachment is all I can think of as to Trump being the unqualified leader of the USA.

We all need to observe every move he makes and watch for his breaking of laws, etc. once he takes the oath of office. It's a given he'll do something horribly wrong!

    2. If the electors follow their first duty, which is to the Constitution of the United States, Trump will not be elected. Likely outcome I see, provided they are dutiful, is a compromise candidate elected in January by House of Representatives. Perhaps Governor Nikki Haley?

How you expect it to change, Gryph, with a GOP-controlled Congress?

2018. There isn't a moment to waste. And John McCain might break from the GOP. He can't possibly plan to run for reelection. (He is 80) and he HATES Donald. Richard Burr insists that he is retiring after this term too. We also need to cue up a list of Congressman/women who might croak before thier term is over, starting with John McCain and have a candidate ready to win thier spot. No giving up.

While maybe true, Lindsay, my point is that this country will never change to popular vote. Research what it takes to amend the constitution.

Get off that river in east africa and face up to reality. We don't have a national election. We have 51 state +DC elections. And Clinton didn't win enough of them to be president. The total national popular vote doesn't mean much more than it's a burr under Trump's saddle.

Is there anything on this list that Trump isn't ramping up?

    Danger signs of fascism:
    1. Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism.
    2. Disdain for the importance of human rights.
    3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause.
    4. The supremacy of the military/avid militarism.
    5. Rampant sexism.
    6. A controlled mass media.
    7. Obsession with national security.
    8. Religion and ruling elite tied together.
    9. Power of corporations protected.

  15. And here's more of that conflict of interest.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/rnc-donald-trump-party_us_5848cf6ee4b0f9723d003c70

"The Republican National Committee will host its Christmas Party this year at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., the newest property of its newfound leader.

The event, which two GOP sources confirmed to The Huffington Post, is said to be a more exclusive and celebratory affair this year owing to the unexpected election victories enjoyed by the party this November. But in moving the proceedings to Donald Trump’s downtown D.C. hotel, which only opened this past fall, the committee risks furthering the perception that the president-elect is leveraging his newfound political power for private gains."

Shit, they're not even trying to hide it any more.

Wonder who is going to be renting it out for balls and parties for the Inauguration. Because you know they will.

    Comment from Michael Chan:

"Quid pro quo... and Linda and Vince McMahaon made the largest single donation of $5.3 mil to Donald J Trump Foundation. Yup the same foundation investigated by the FBI and the Washington Post. A 2 time failed senate candidate. Keep it up Trump - you're on a roll."
