This is the man behind Donald Trump's assertion that as many as three million undocumented immigrants illegally voted in the 2016 election.

"Do you have the proof?"

"Will you provide it?"

"Can I have it?"

Pretty much all you need to know about the veracity of this asshole's claim.

Remember Donald Trump tweeted this guy's name as his go to guy on proving that up to 3 million individuals voted illegally in this last election.
And Phillips certainly gave the impression that he had proof in hand to make that assertion.

"Completed analysis" certainly sounds to me as if there is readily available documentation for this outrageous claim.

Yet when given the opportunity to provide it, this idiot uses important sounding buzzwords to distract from the fact that he has a big fat nothing.

If this guy seriously had this data then why does he not provide copies of it to other statisticians who are undoubtedly better suited to get through it quickly and reach a conclusion a hell of a lot faster than several months into the future?

To me this sounds very much like Trump's claim that he had "investigators" in Hawaii who could "not believe" what they were finding concerning President Obama's birth certificate.

  1. And this moron's tweet is the proof Trump is using to spend millions trying to prove he won the popular vote.

Republicans Rage As New Poll Reveals Obama’s Placement In Line Of Best Presidents

    1. They can undo everything he did, but they can't erase history and eliminate the fact that he did them before they took them away.

He brought us out of the countries second great depression DESPITE obstruction from the Republican party.

He gave the country healthcare before they took it away.

He created the jobs they were promising since 2010 but never delivered.

But most of all they can't erase the man. We have video of him being the adult. Being gracious in the face of constant attack and attempts to delegitimize his presidency. We see him smiling and interacting with children and babies. We see him being thoughtful and sympathetic.

We see him capable of all of the things their current Altprez is incapable of.

Obama is probably the most stable, grounded, balanced man to hold that office.

And they replaced him with a malignant narcissistic racist egocentric greedy misogynistic immature piece of shit.

The contrast is so overwhelming it takes an equally unbalanced bigot to overlook it.

It is the comparison to Obama that makes Trump look even more unfit than he actually is.

And the Republicans OWN this. Everything that happens will be on their heads.

I think some of them are freaking out, finally realizing what they have done.

The changing nature of America’s irreligious explained

A recent survey of the religious profile of the 115th Congress revealed that despite the increase in the number of Americans who claim no religious affiliation, members of Congress are overwhelmingly religious, with only one member identifying as having no religion.

Yet, despite whom they vote for, Americans are increasingly choosing not to identify with a religious tradition. Between 2007 and 2014, this “none of the above” category has increased from 16 to 23 percent. Among young adults, one-third say that they have no religious affiliation.

    1. Anonymous12:26 PM

There is a lot of effort by some religious groups to push their agenda through legislatures. It starts at the school board, then cities, boroughs and counties and then executive offices. Law and medical schools also are seeing students appear in their schools with a religious agenda in mind. Nothing new here. I think we are seeing the takeover of the process by people who are not mainstream. Time for us to take it back.

    2. Anonymous1:10 PM

I fail to see how they can call themselves religious when everything they stand for belies the very tenets of any religion known to man.

  8. "Completed analysis of database of 180 million voter registrations."
Even if this were the case, and there were in fact registration problems, it has nothing to do with whether people actually voted fraudulently.

How many "registered in two places" occurrences are due to people moving, registering at their new residence and never thinking to contact the place they moved from to say please cancel my registration? No fraudulent intent at all, and no intent to ever vote more than once.

How many "dead people registered to vote" are simply registered voters who died and no one thought to contact the Board of Elections and tell them grampa died.

Grampa wasn't ever going to vote again and no one in his family was thinking hmm, I can vote and then put on grampa's glasses and his favorite shirt and vote again claiming to be him heh heh heh.

It is also highly unlikely that this turkey has actually managed to get his hands on the voter registration records of all fifty states, analyze them correctly (many people can have the same name), and have any damn proof of anything at all.

How many people actually cancel their registration at their old residence after moving or contact the Board of Elections when someone in their family dies?

    1. That's how the Republicans can maintain their meme of voter fraud. They figure the public can't comprehend the difference between registration and actual voting.

Then there's their own house. Kushner and Bannon registered in two different states. Ooooo, that's gonna hurt.

    2. Anonymous1:16 PM

‘This is about a guy who never brought a woman to orgasm’: Bill Maher tackles Trump’s ‘crowd’ problem

Bill Maher can’t get over Trump’s obsession with the size of his crowd. On Friday night’s “Real Time” the comedian called out Trump’s obsession for what it is.

“This is about the size of his d*ck!” Maher exclaimed. “This is about a guy who never brought a woman to orgasm! He probably thinks it’s rigged.”

Maher also noted that Trump’s crowd was about as big as the Church of Scientology. “The difference between Scientology and Donald Trump is Scientology has better celebrities,” he joked.

His biggest concern, however, is the fact that Trump sees a multitude of people that aren’t actually there.

At the top of the show, Maher began by announcing, “it’s day 7 of the ‘War on Facts.'” The comedian noted that when he grabs his phone each morning to check the news Siri now asks him “are you sitting down?”

But after the Women’s March on Washington, Maher has hope.

“Something is happening,” Maher noted. “We finally have our own tea party. Except with our own teeth and correctly spelled posters.”

He went on to joke that when Trump saw the march he was so furious he came out to the Truman balcony with a bullhorn and shouted insults at the women.

Maher also knocked Trump’s recent Executive Orders, saying that when President Barack Obama signed an order it was after study and checking with lawyers. “With Trump, they’re just signed tweets!” Maher said.

Trump’s White House has done a poor job of vetting his executive orders. Many of their provisions violate current law and can be overturned by lawsuits. The Republican Congress can change laws, but Trump hasn’t consulted with Congressional leaders on most of these. Maybe they will change the laws and maybe not. If Democrats and progressive organizations fight, at least some of the provisions can be stopped or delayed.

Trump Hotels adopt 'America First' stance as expansion plans focus on domestic market

Hotel boss says he would rather expand at home than in China

As US President Donald Trump signs executive orders aimed at secluding America, the business he refuses to divest from is planning major domestic expansions.

Trump Hotel’s CEO Eric Danziger told reporters after a summit panel discussion that out of 26 major metropolitan areas in the US, the hotel brand is in five. “I don’t see any reason that we couldn’t be in all of them eventually.” Danziger said.

The flourishing of the Trump name and subsequent potential boons for the namesake organization throws up further questions for a president already rife with conflict of interest accusations.

Along with hinting at the hotel chain’s expansion, Danziger said that planned expansion into China was “pretty much off”, adding “both brands and any others we create will have a domestic emphasis for the next four or eight years.” His comments drew laughter from the crowd, Bloomberg reported.

‘I want to correct this for our viewers’: CNN host fact checks Trump backer’s Muslim ban lie on air

NN’s Poppy Harlow asked Trump adviser and former U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA).....
... “So you say these are not countries that love the United States and therefore this is justified,” Harlow said. So, what about Russia?”

“Well, I think in Russia — you know, there’s a lot of other Islamic countries and other countries that aren’t always fond of America, but I don’t think you have necessarily the concerns and the vigilance that you need if you’re talking about Sudan.”

“Congressman, can you point to a single terrorist attack in this country that was carried out by a Syrian refugee?” she said.

“I think you could look at DHS records and see that refugees in general have often been the cloak under which terrorists do move from country to country,” Kingston said. “And we do not know who’s coming in to our country.”

Harlow doubled down, “But Congressman, I asked if you could point to an event that you feel justifies this ban, that has endangered or killed American people.”

“Poppy, let me point to it, Ft. Hood, Orlando, San Bernardino, and terror attacks around the world,” Kingston said.

Harlow tried to point out that none of those people were Syrian or refugees, “Congressman, you said something that is not factual.”

“Because you’re not letting me finish the sentence,” Kingston said, “All of these security, the terrorist attacks have to do with who’s coming in, how long have they been there, where they’re being radicalized and what’s happening with this order is it’s part of a greater security goal.”

“Congressman, you’re talking about American citizens,” Harlow said. “I want to correct this for our viewers.”

The Ft. Hood shooter, she said, Nadal Hassan, was born in Arlington, Virginia. The San Bernardino shooter was born in Illinois. Omar Mateen, the shooter in Orlando’s Pulse nightclub massacre was born in New York.

“How is that justification?” she said.
“This is all part of the defense against terrorism and it’s all part of immigration security,” Kingston said.

All other considerations aside, although I don't have a hugely common name given that my surname is spelled slightly differently than a hugely common name in the English-speaking world there are plenty of women all over the world with the same name, in fact I once received government mail for one of them. For this reason alone I have never set foot in the US since Bush and his ridiculous Homeland Security failures. True the Vote is an offshoot of the King Street Patriots, a nonprofit Tea Party organization founded by Engelbrecht[6] and mostly active in Texas

The liberal Internet outlet Talking Points Memo has criticized True the Vote for engaging in what it says is caging, voter intimidation, and advancing statements about the pervasiveness of voter fraud that it says are unfounded.[48][49] In 2012, Democratic Congressman Elijah Cummings opened an investigation into the organization.[50] In May 2013, following the IRS targeting controversy, Engelbrecht stated True the Vote was subject to additional scrutiny in applying for tax-exempt status.[51]
