Trump's Twitter Tantrum for Today.

Well gee, if Russia, who is so well known for their honesty, is saying that nothing exists then I guess that settles it.

I also wonder if these "people" of his that are going to release that report are the same "people" who dug up all of that dirt about Obama's real birth certificate. Hey where is that report anyhow?
Um, Hillary's guilty of what exactly?

And how did she win the popular vote by almost three million if there was no enthusiasm?

By the way the first of these morning tweets were sent out at what would have been 4:00 AM East Coast time. Which I think gives you some indication as to what kinds of doubts and fears haunt his dreams at night.

He is barely holding his shit together, and the job has not even started yet.

I'm thinking that he'll flub up the oath of office. For sure, he has no understanding of what the words mean. The Constitution, what 21st century Republican cares about that? "We, the people" - the GOP thinks that we exist to pay for their misadventures and for the lifestyles of their wealthiest.

He's not even in the job yet and already he can't cope.

He is going to be a complete disaster as a president.

Look to your life, your finances, your job security, your family, see what you can do to cushion the blows that are coming. After 4 years of Trump the US will be a bankrupt banana republic. If you have any sway with officialdom now, cultivate it for your own safety.

And don't count on the US having too many friends left after it's over.

The ongoing storyline at the pond is that Obamacare has decided vg's fate, not his personal choices/lifestyle. However, he recently posted:

Anon at 1:23 pm, Trump is doing just what our new GOP congressman, Jack Bergman, retired general, wants done. He voted to end the Congressional Ethics Office without knowing what they do or why the office exists in order to get rid of bureaucracy! Michigan's new congressman also wants to end the ACA, Social Security and Medicare - probably for the same reason.

    6. Beaglemom, thank you for your comment. It inspired me to finally tell Mr. Bergman exactly what I thought of him. Which is that he is NO Marine, and that he is not entitled to call himself a general.

He swore an oath to defend this country and he is doing his best instead to ensure that his constituents are harmed.

People will die without the ACA/Obamacare, Medicaid, and Medicare. He also wants to destroy Social Security. He doesn't appear to be stupid or uneducated, so the lies he spouted during his campaign must have been purposeful and deliberately cruel.

I told him that my former husband served in the Marines honorably for over 20 years, and will always be a Marine, but that he will never be more than Mr. Bergman to me, and I certainly don't consider him fit to serve in Congress.

It won't change anything, but I guess I felt better for a minute.

Paul Anka told TMZ Friday that he has to back out of plans to perform “My Way” for President-elect Donald Trump at an inauguration ball next Friday, though that decision is not out of protest.
Anka says that Trump is a long-time friend of his and personally invited him to perform at the inauguration gala ball at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, where he would have perform “My Way” as Trump danced with his wife, Melania. Instead, Anka had to cancel due to a scheduling change in an ongoing custody case for his son.

Country artist Lee Greenwood, best known for his patriotic hit “God Bless the U.S.A.,” is scheduled to perform for President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration during the “‘Make America Great Again!’ Welcome Celebration” on Jan 19, the day before he is sworn in.

Additionally, Greenwood’s fellow country artist Toby Keith, as well as singer Jennifer Holliday and southern rock band 3 Doors Down, have been added to the lineup for the pre-inauguration concert, the Inaugural Committee said Friday.

Prior to Friday’s unveiling, Cowboy Troy, country band Big & Rich and America’s Got Talent singer Jackie Evancho were among the entertainers who were listed as performing at Trump celebrations.

    R. Kelly Denies Trump Inauguration Gig as 'Simply Untrue'
    January 13, 2017

The list of artists not planning to play Donald Trump's inauguration continues to grow much longer than those who have officially signed up. The latest to shoot down rumors of an inaugural gig is R. Kelly, who tweeted on Thursday night (Jan. 12) that it is "simply untrue" that he'll suit up for the New York real estate mogul's big day next week.

The post entitled, "End.Of.Story" features the statement in a large yellow box with the important denials in bolded red and Kelly explaining that "Despite the rumors circulating online, R. Kelly will not be performing at this years inauguration ceremony."

    MARIE OSMOND (KELLY CONTD)

And Kelly wasn't the only one clarifying that they wouldn't be joining the celebration of the former Celebrity Apprentice star's rise to the highest office in the land. After a week of rumors, Marie Osmond also took to Twitter on Thursday to essentially say the same. "Many of you have seen various stories saying that I volunteered or that I am performing at the inauguration. So let me be clear!" wrote the singer.
"I had no intention of performing at this inauguration, no matter who won!" Osmond went on to explain that though she has performed for several presidents and at a number of charitable White House events, she tries to "stay out of politics." Osmond's name got into the mix because in an earlier interview this week she said "when it comes to our country, we need to unite, and to not support our president I think is wrong."

Osmond and Kelly join a growing roster of acts who have either turned down the honor or made it clear they would if asked. Among those who have reportedly said no thank you according to a number of reports and tweets are: Andrea Bocelli, Moby, Charlotte Church, Elton John, Céline Dion, Kanye West, Rebecca Ferguson, Garth Brooks, David Foster, KISS and Idina Menzel.

And while Trump earlier claimed that he wasn't interested in "A-list" celebs at his inauguration, just one week out the announced performance roster is one of the thinnest in recent memory, comprised of fellow reality TV star America's Got Talent winner Jackie Evancho, Big & Rich, Cowboy Troy and most of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Radio City Rockettes. At his press conference this week, Trump promised unnamed "tremendous talent" for his event.
In contrast, President Obama's first inaugural in 2009 featured a historic all-star tribute called "We Are One" on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial that had performances from Beyoncé, U2, Jon Bon Jovi, Mary J. Blige, Sheryl Crow, Brooks, Josh Groban, John Legend, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Shakira and Jennifer Nettles, among many others.

"Senator Warren's staff member told me what would help the most would be to call the five Republican senators who have broken away from the GOP to demand a slow down of the repeal. Tell them how much you appreciate their efforts to stop the train wreck and share your story.
    They are:

    Senator Susan Collins (ME) - (202) 224-2523
    Senator Bill Cassidy (LA) - (202) 224-5824"
SCRIPT: Hi, my name is ______ and I am a concerned constituent/citizen [give your address if you're in the state]. I want to let the Senator know that I fully support the Affordable Care Act. I [friends or family] get my health care through the ACA. If the law is repealed with no replacement in place, I [my friends or family] will be without health coverage and won't have any other options. I am appalled that this vital law will be repealed with no plan for those with pre-existing conditions or those who need the ACA to be able to access health care. I very much appreciate your efforts to demand a slow down of the repeal. Please continue to fight so people like me [my family or friends] can have affordable, effective health care that isn't disrupted by plans to repeal the law without a replacement law in place.

House Votes 227-198 To Begin ACA Repeal Process

The House of Representatives just approved the Senate resolution to begin the repeal of the Affordable Care Act by a vote of 227-189. All House Democrats voted no on the resolution, along with a handful of Republicans.

Just before this vote, there was a vote on an amendment by Kentucky Rep. John Yarmuth which would have stopped the repeal effort and redirected budget attention toward infrastructure. That amendment was defeated with the help of 37 Democrats in the House.

I will be getting the names of those Democrats. I will be asking for their reasons for their No votes. I will let you know who they are and why they voted that way.

In my view, it is unacceptable for any Democrat to stand in the way of an effort to block the repeal of the ACA. It will take some persuasion to convince me otherwise. So while I'm gratified that they did not vote FOR the effort to begin repeal, I'm flummoxed as to why they voted AGAINST a substitute.

    Impeachment for Comrade Trump????
    ----------------------------------

‘My confidence has been shook’: Dems furious after meeting with James Comey — but they can’t say why

House Democrats walked out of a classified briefing sputtering with anger over FBI Director James Comey’s response to claims of Russian election hacking.

Several of the lawmakers who took part in Friday’s meeting said they’d lost confidence in Comey and had become convinced he’s unfit to lead the agency, reported The Hill.
“I was non-judgmental until the last 15 minutes,” said Rep. Tim Walz (D-MN). “I no longer have that confidence in him. Some of the things that were revealed in this classified briefing — my confidence has been shook.”

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) said he was “extremely concerned” about what had been revealed, which was confidential.

Rep. Mark Takano (D-CA) was so shaken by what he’d learned that he could barely complete a sentence.

“I’ll just — I’m very angry,” Takano said.

The intelligence community has told President Barack Obama and President-elect Donald Trump they believe Russia hacked Democratic groups to help elect the Republican candidate.

Comey has drawn heavy criticism for announcing a new phase in the probe of Hillary Clinton’s emails less than two weeks before the election, and the Justice Department’s inspector general announced a new investigation Thursday into the agency’s actions before the election.

Rep. Charlie Dent (R-PA) said Attorney General Loretta Lynch had “made life very difficult” for Comey, especially after meeting with Bill Clinton, but Democrats left the meeting outraged.

“I’ll wait to pass full judgment, but the exchange that just happened in the final 15 minutes gives me no reason to have confidence,” Walz said.

At this point, given the huge split in the country, I think we need to be told. We have a right to know. We are being fucked over by all the assholes and we can't know more?!

It was so sad--yet inspiring because right is right and this man never falters when it come to what is good for this country of ours--watching John Lewis speak to Chuck Todd re Trump's presidency and it being illegit. I am so proud of the Dems this week who have fought the good fight. They stood up to the ugly GOP bullies and did what they could to save the ACA. And some got so tough in the Cabinet hearings (still too decent toward these POSes though). And then there was DiFi coming back to work the day after a pacemaker implant. And do on.

And then there;s argumentative, won't-give-an-inch bloated Trump yelling at reporters and lying over and over again about the intel, etc., and further splitting the country. Every single thing he does is divisive and insulting. His existence in this world only brings harm. The worst harm.

Meant that John Lewis said Trump is not "legitimate." Same point, but I quoted wrong.

There truly is NO way Trump can begin to claim he has an A list following!!! Look at who was a part of President Obama's inauguration - there is no comparison!

After watching this bozo's press conference and reading his infantile tweets, it was very refreshing to watch Joe Biden on the View today.

An adult, that spoke to the public in complete sentences. Going to miss that.

I really want to know if trump speaks in such a childish manner at home, or is he dumbing it down for his supporters. There are foreigners that are more fluent than he is.

These Democrats Voted Against Stopping The ACA Repeal Effort

Here is the list of Democrats who voted with all Republicans in the House against Rep. John Yarmuth's effort to substitute an infrastructure bill with the resolution to begin repealing the Affordable Care Act.

To be clear, all of the names on the list also voted against the Senate resolution to begin repeal, so presumably they were released to vote against Yarmuth's blocking resolution as political cover.

That is unacceptable to me. Now is the time for them to stand up for the ACA in ALL circumstances. They will argue that the resolution wasn't going to pass anyway, so they could have some cover with more conservative constituents. I'll just call BS on that right now.

One of these representatives was mine. And I will be in her office, explaining why it is unacceptable for her to EVER vote against a proposal to block repeal. I would recommend that you all choose the same course of action. Now is the time for a united front, not cowardly political cover.

Is this what the Trump presidency is about?

    NPR
White Nationalists' Enthusiasm For Trump Cools

    ● Next week, white nationalists like Jared Taylor will celebrate a moment they've been waiting decades to see when Donald Trump is inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States. Members of the white nationalist movement were among the first to embrace Trump's candidacy, and they celebrated after his election.

"January 20th reflects a significant defeat for egalitarian orthodoxy," Taylor says.

    ● Taylor promotes a very different orthodoxy, one in which race is central to innate abilities and national success.

    ● He's working to build a United States explicitly for white people. Trump arguably helps this by telling supporters that they're the victims of a system rigged against them.

"I see Donald Trump as a kind of stepping stone. He is a step in the right direction in terms of understanding America and history and the world in essentially racial terms," Taylor says....

    ● Spencer said that Trump's victory had just slingshotted white nationalism into the mainstream.

    ● 11"And even if we're not quite in power yet we should act like it," he said....

But later that day, Spencer gave another speech, a fiery one that ended with some of the audience casting off any pretense of being mainstream.

    ● "Hail Trump! Hail our people! Hail victory!" Spencer shouted, raising his glass in a straight-arm toast to the audience.

Some in the crowd responded with enthusiastic Nazi salutes, which captured media attention....

    ● White nationalists also like the nominee for secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, who's seen as being close to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, a darling of the alt-right...

    ACTION: Save the ACA.
    shared from a friend:
A friend called Senator Warren to ask what she can do to help push back agains the ACA repeal. Here's what she was told by one of Warren's staffers:
"Senator Warren's staff member told me what would help the most would be to call the five Republican senators who have broken away from the GOP to demand a slow down of the repeal. Tell them how much you appreciate their efforts to stop the train wreck and share your story.
    They are:
    Senator Bob Corker (TN) - (202) 224-3344
    Senator Lisa Murkowski (AK) - (202) 224-6665
    Senator Rob Portman (OH) - (202) 224-3353
After you call, leave me a comment so I can tell you how awesome you are!!
More about what is going on with the ACA right now, simply explained here:
