Woman who accused Donald Trump of sexually harassing her is now suing him for defamation of character.

Courtesy of the Hollywood Reporter:

Just days before he's set to be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump has been hit with a defamation lawsuit from a former Apprentice contestant who says he engaged in sexually inappropriate contact with her.

Shortly before Election Day, Trump faced a barrage of sexual assault accusations from many women following the release of a bombshell video showing him boasting to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush about grabbing women's genitals. Summer Zervos, who appeared on season five of The Apprentice, was one of the accusers. At that time, Trump responded at a rally in Pennsylvania, "All of these liars will be sued after the election is over."

So today Zervos sat with her attorney Gloria Allred to announce that she is proceeding with a lawsuit against Trump.

The complaint zeroes in on Trump's initial statement upon Zervos' allegation that he "never met [Ms. Zervos] at a hotel or greeted her inappropriately," along with tweets how his accuser "made up events THAT NEVER HAPPENED." She also points to comments of "100% fabricated and made-up charges,' "totally false," and so forth, including, "Every woman lied when they came forward to hurt my campaign."

"In doing so, he used his national and international bully pulpit to make false factual statements to denigrate and verbally attack Ms. Zervos and the other women who publicly reported his sexual assaults in October 2016," states the complaint. "Mr. Trump knew that his false, disparaging statements would be heard and read by people around the world, and that these women, including Summer Zervos, would be subjected to threats of violence, economic harm, and reputational damage. In his effort to win the Presidency and counter the damage to his election prospects caused by his own recorded words with Billy Bush, Mr. Trump knowingly, intentionally and maliciously threw each and every one of these women under the bus, with conscious disregard of the impact that repeatedly calling them liars would have upon their lives and reputations."

Hasn't released his tax returns, bragged about grabbing pussies in a video, intelligence agencies have proof that his campaign was helped by interference from Russia, and now he is being sued for potentially lying about sexually harassing a young woman.

HOW in the HELL did this guy win the presidency?

  1. Anonymous2:09 PM

"HOW in the HELL did this guy win the presidency?"

His supporters have their collective heads up their asses. They are blind and gullible fools. They are a benchmark for a new type of reality divorced stupidity.

    1. Anonymous3:13 PM

There is a certain percentage of the population that lives in a tv/movie badass mentality and he talked at their level. Then add in the Bible thumpers and viola electoral win

    2. Anonymous4:35 PM

If you have been on The Real News site today, you will see we have released a mini-doc on Robert Mercer, titled, The Bizarre Far Right Billionaire Behind Trump's Presidency. That's the person who bailed Trump out when the Trump campaign was at its lowest, and now has put him in office essentially.

Well, here's another one: Sheldon Gary Adelson. He owns the Las Vegas Sands Casino, and he's one of the richest people in the world, and a big supporter of Donald Trump. Let's have a look at what Donald Trump, the candidate Donald Trump, had to say during the campaign in Las Vegas.

    3. Anonymous7:51 PM

He lied to his supporters and told them what they wanted to hear: build the wall, jobs, blah blah blah.

I also think some of these fools think he is going to make them rich.

  2. Anonymous2:21 PM

Donald Trump is a fucking asshole and sexual predator! I hope he has to pay this gal through the nose.

Donald Trump absolutely should not be potus and for so, so many reasons! Our country is going to be in the worst mess most of us living in it have ever experienced.

What is it going to take to get him out of the office once he takes the oath? Impeachment? I do see that possibility on the horizon and will welcome it!

    1. Anonymous6:46 PM

Hillary received millions of more votes. Trump deserves as much respect as he gave Obama. None.

  3. Anonymous2:25 PM

He didn't win it. Hillary did.

    1. Anonymous2:33 PM

You are obviously a confused Hillary supporter. Hillary will be at the inauguration, watching Trump take the oath of office, because he won.

She acknowledged her loss and conceded to Trump on election night as it was an electoral blowout. Obama also legitimized the election results immediately after the election, not that he is required to do so.

So yes. Trump won the Presidential Election.

    2. "electoral blowout"
Hardly. 46th out of 58 elections.

    3. Anonymous2:57 PM

No, 2:33, he cheated. That is not winning. That is being a moral eunuch.

    4. Anonymous2:57 PM

Confused, no. The voting citizenry elected her.
That is a proven fact. Harp on if you need to.

    5. Anonymous3:02 PM

I saw the interview with this woman months ago and she was really gutted, which made me laugh because she knew the fat orange bastard well yet was still somehow surprised by his scummy behavior.

    6. Anonymous3:03 PM

Trump didn't win the election any more than Bush did in 2000. This election was stolen equally as much as the 2000 election.

      You should stop pretending otherwise.

    7. Anonymous3:04 PM

And you're obviously an ass hole.

Trump STOLE the election. He didn't win shit. Between gerrymandering, GOP obstruction, vote rigging, Russian interference, media collusion, Fake news from paid operatives, Comey interference and more, Trump STOLE the election. What the hell is Hillary supposed to do in the face of that kind of thievery, trickery, manipulation. Hillary is the people's president. She WON the PEOPLE by nearly 3 Million votes.

So NO, Trump did NOT 'win' the Presidential election, he stole it.

So take your sorry ass Trump supporting self and fuck the HELL OFF.

    8. Anonymous3:08 PM

I like to think he won on a technicality -- sort of like lawsuits get thrown out of court on a technicality of some sort. Except for the electoral college's role in our elections, he would not be president. So, to me, she won the votes of the population and he won the job, but only on a technicality. And given the really sub-human that he is, we have this mess on our hands. If he does get impeached, and I hope he does, I also hope it gets him thrown out of office because of it. Remember, Clinton was impeached by the House, but did not get thrown out of office because the Senate did not find him guilty.

    9. Anonymous3:17 PM

How exactly does gerrymandering happen on a National Presidential Election 3:04 lol.

    10. Anonymous3:33 PM

      @3:08 "sub-human that he is"
      “lives for vengeance.”
“Attached hereto is a copy of Mr. Trump’s birth certificate, demonstrating that he is the son of Fred Trump, not an ORANGutan.”
Then Trump expected Maher to pay up."

    11. Anonymous3:35 PM

      it's obvious you're an inbred dumbass -

    12. Anonymous3:49 PM

Well 3:35, perhaps you could explain how a National Election, with Electors allotted based on statewide vote counts, can be gerrymandered lol?

Do you even understand what gerrymandering is?

      Love, inbred dumbass

    13. Anonymous3:58 PM

Years ago in the 90s, a friend snd I attended a performance of The Will Rogers Follies in Dallas. Marla Maples was playing the lead female role. After thr show my friend wanted to get Marla's autograph. While I waited on the side for my friend to approach Marla, I absent mindedly took a step or two backward and immediately realized I had bumped into someone standing behind me. When I turned around to apologize, I realized it was Donald Trump that I'd literally bumped into. He mumbled "no problem" and was very low key and clearly didn't want attention directed at him, shocking, I know. I've thought about that experience many times over the past year or so. My only regret is that I didnt sucker punch the SOB right there. I suppose that I should be glad he didn't try to grab me at that time.

    14. Anonymous6:59 PM

2:33 - He lost by millions of votes and if you aren't uber wealthy and you voted for him you are a fool. The man/child is obviously only out for himself. He's an embarrassment to intelligent folks. That excludes you of course.

    15. Anonymous7:53 PM

He told us himself the election was rigged, explain that one oh wonderful trump troll. Was he lying?

    16. Anonymous9:30 PM

Funny, all the news, and Hillary and Obama, have said Trump will be taking the oath... are they all wrong, did Trump not win the Presidency?

You all should certainly let them know they have it wrong.

    17. Anonymous3:43 AM

9:30-- Are you being purposefully stupid, or is it just your nature, lol person?

Hillary won the popular vote by millions. That is what people are referring to when they say she "won" the presidency.

The will of the people, get it? Now, do you prefer LOL or DUH?

  4. Anonymous2:40 PM

    I can answer that question!

The rigging was a pretty simple process, in fact: in 27 Republican-controlled states (including critical swing states) hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) of people showed up to vote, but were mysteriously blocked from voting for allegedly being registered with the intent to vote in multiple states.

  5. Anonymous2:42 PM

People say that drumpf is a deviant and a paedophile. They also say he has participated in human trafficking and supplied young foreign girls to wealthy businessmen and politicians under the guise of Trump Models. Drumpf is on record as claiming friendships with Jeffery Epistein and John Casablanca, both charged with inappropriate conduct with young girls. Drumpf is on record bragging about groping women, and intentionally viewing teenage girls in various stages of undress simply because he had the position to do so. Sad.

    1. Anonymous3:13 PM

Yep. People like to point out that Bill Clinton was friendly with Epstein and traveled on his plane a # of times, but the stories about sex and drugs with minors is all about Epstein, Casablancas and Trump. There's a very good piece (wish I had the link still but I don't--I posted it on IM a couple weeks ago) about how Trump emulated Casablancas in many ways. He got into the modeling and beauty contest biz b/c of Casablancas. Trump wanted to be thought of as handsome and desirous and to be that famous and welcomed at all the places where the beautiful people frequented--but he failed. And Epstein and Casablancas were well known for what they did. Epstein eventually plead guilty to one act of sex with a 14-year-old, but there was obviously so much more. And Casablancas was a pig abusing teens. In the end, he died from cancer in Brazil, where he had sought treatment. At 50 he married a 17-year-old model, his third wife and she was younger than at least one of his children (and he was older than both the new wife's parents).

More than likely it was a set up for bill. A fundraiser, and plane provided. These people are con artist and built extortion and bribe files on everyone they could.

    4. Anonymous4:53 PM

Seems the entire cabinet has the same problem. Young girls and boys. models boy scouts prostitutes and bigly billionaires with mental illness.

    5. Anonymous8:57 PM

I find the man charming but Bill Clinton is a rather flawed human. Anyone wearing rose-colored glasses should give this blast-from-the past a read.

    6. Anonymous12:26 PM

Don't try to reduce Bill Clinton to Donald Trump's status. As president Clinton did a lot of the American people and for people around the world. We all would have been better off if his proposed health care plan had been adopted. But the GOP was almost as inhospitable to a Democratic president then as it was to Barack Obama. They just hadn't added the matter or race to their obstruction. With Clinton, it took the form of threatened impeachment, over and over.

Obama Gave The US the Greatest Gift and It’s One We’re Going To Need Now

...To judge President Obama on the content of his character is to find him an exceptional human and leader. It’s a true shame so many missed out on this pleasure due to their own shortcomings.

President Obama has been a president who walked the talk when it came to integrity, honor, civility, love of family, and plain decency. Vice President Joe Biden gave us an insider’s view to the President’s character in his acceptance speech of the surprise Presidential Medal of Freedom.

So it is that we grieve the loss of this great man as our President, and many of us struggle to accept the incoming president-elect, even without the legitimate questions about his winning of the 2016 election and the Russian hackings that assisted him.

Even without the cloud of Putin, Donald Trump is a low blow to a people used to President Obama’s high-minded civility.

OT, but Al Franken, even with the insanely limited time allotted for questioning, just killed Betsy De Vos at her hearing.

    1. Anonymous12:22 PM

We have two good Democratic senators from Michigan but I really love Al Franken.

  10. Anonymous2:50 PM

Rep. Alma Adams (D-NC) released a statement announcing that she will not attend to Trump inauguration because she refuses to pretend to celebrate his presidency.

...Trump’s inauguration is a giant step backward for progress. It is not something to be celebrated. His presidency will be an obstacle that must be conquered. The majority of Americans who did not vote for Trump won’t be pretending that Friday will be a day of celebration.

It’s bigger than losing an election. Trump’s agenda is to take back to the past. Trump’s is not a presidency of the future. Trump won by selling a desperate segment of society the myth that they can reclaim the past.

Rep. Adams had it right. Inauguration day marks the beginning of the real work ahead. Friday at noon isn’t a time for celebration, but the moment when the next great struggle will begin.

Obamacare Repeal Backfires On Republicans As ACA Reaches Record Level Of Popularity

America is speaking, and it wants to keep Obamacare.

'HOW in the HELL did this guy win the presidency?'

    To answer your question, Gryphen...

“As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron.”

    -H. L. Mencken, 1920

      Mencken, my favorite Atheist.

He absolutely hated ignorance and had no tolerance for how our political system "works", even almost 100 years ago he realized the system was broken.

  14. Anonymous3:09 PM

Well, and now Russia is minting a two pound commemorative coin they will give to the orange a$$hole upon his inauguration: two solid pounds of silver and gold, one side with the orange a$$hole's picture, and emblazoned with 'IN TRUMP WE TRUST', and the other side something about 'FREEDOM' and something else.
If the a$$hole thinks, he can keep that, he has something else coming. He is not allowed to keep anything valued at more than $100 or $240. The rest is all looked upon as gifts to the country. He CAN buy the gifts at appraised value if he wants to...

  15. Anonymous3:25 PM

There are so many reasons put out there for attending the inauguration and accepting him. It's good for the country to look united and blah blah blah. When is it good for the country to just accept all his crimes? Anyone who believes that he has stolen from hardworking people who performed services for his company must acknowledge that this makes him a criminal. Anyone who believes even just one of the many women who have described his assaulting of them must acknowledge that he is a criminal. If he is a criminal, then he cannot be considered worth an ounce of respect and his inauguration should not be attended. And he should not be allowed to be president, but of course no one with the legal ability to try putting a stop it has done a hing to stop it.

    1. Anonymous4:46 PM

Why do you suppose they are not stopping him? bribed, threatened? extortion? pooty file? Don bugged his guest rooms and employees rooms he said to get leverage.

    2. Anonymous6:31 PM

Sadly, I think that too many people are so old-school in thought that they'd never step up and horrible truths are hushed--at all costs certain things about America must be upheld, they say, and they see themselves as so noble. Anyone who has had their lives ruined or deeply affected, like Trump's accusers, are collateral damage.

  16. Anonymous3:26 PM

I bet he is going to pay her off big time - using donor money! Now that he is president, all eyes are on him and what comes out in the case and not just what he tells us in his twitter feed. Can't wait for documents to be deposed. Now we can finally see the Apprentice tapes.

    1. Anonymous7:58 PM

He will never do it, it will be up to the Senate to impeach him.

This is payback to all those who criticized him in the past. An ego trip.

  22. Anonymous4:43 PM

I thought he won because America still had issues with women, Russian propoganda, and the fact the the Republican's have been gunning for Hillary for 30 years and knew that one day she would make a good leader, and prove that men in suits are really not necessary.
Donald won nothing. He's going to have a miserable four years. No one likes him but the Nazi minded humans of our country and world. They want him to put down the little man for one and for all. We all know this, and when we look in the mirror we see that we are that person he wants out of the picture.

As America prepares for the inauguration on Jan. 20, we, the united women of these United States — holding hands in solidarity with our boyfriends, our girlfriends, our brothers, our uncles, our nephews and our husbands — will march on Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Park City and all across the world on Jan. 21 to show our passion and resolve for the democratic spirit of America that respects all women’s right to live in a society as equals, not as second-class citizens.

Women are under a right-wing political assault, and I intend to fight back with all my might against a Republican president, a Republican Congress, and the radical, religious right who are drooling to defund Planned Parenthood health services nationwide.

You'd be surprised. If you knew some people who worked as dancers in clubs, you'd know that some of them make extra money by way of some quite germy fetishes. But she can prove cause and effect in her new case. She's got a winner there. And there will be discovery and depositions.

The only question that remains will be will a judge let it get to court, or will they go with the "you can't sue a sitting president" line? I hope she takes it to the Supreme Court if she has to. Spread that filth about Trump all over every paper for everyone to see.

One down: Trump's minimum wage-hating nominee for labor secretary is in search of an exit

Andy Puzder has no problem fighting against overtime pay and increases in the minimum wage, but he’s less interested in being challenged by people not wearing a Hardee’s uniform who want to see his financial information.

President-elect Donald Trump's choice to be labor secretary has voiced second thoughts in recent days, because of a relentless barrage of criticism from Democrats, labor unions and other liberal groups, a business ally and GOP sources tell CNN. …
"He may be bailing," said a Republican source plugged into the Trump transition effort. "He is not into the pounding he is taking, and the paperwork."

..... Puzder would be a hard loss for Trump, since they share an affection for greasy food and ogling women.

"I don't think there's anything wrong with a beautiful woman in a bikini, eating a burger and washing a Bentley or a pickup truck or being in a hot tub," Puzder said in an interview with CNNMoney in 2015. "I think there's probably nothing more American."
Puzder, 66, is the fast food magnate who heads Hardee's and Carl's Jr. restaurants. …
He's also developed a clear advertising strategy: Attractive women sell. Under Puzder, Hardee's and Carl's Jr. have been known for their highly suggestive ads.

Trump may also miss Puzder because he’s one of the few people on the team who can manage to out-sexist, and out-idiot, Trump himself.

"When my son was 13 or 14 years old, he didn't want to eat where the clown, the kids or the pigtails ate," Puzder said. "He wanted to eat where his big brother ate. I'm 64 years old, I want to be a young, hungry guy. Young ladies like to date young, hungry guys."......
