27 year old man becomes first totally blind person to get a conceal carry permit. That's right, "totally blind."

Courtesy of AmmoLand:

At 27, Carey McWilliams became the first totally blind person in the USA to acquire a concealed-carry permit.

Despite weapons training during his ROTC years, McWilliams has faced opposition to his right to bear arms from both the media and public officials.

Once fervently against hunting, McWilliams now views hunting as a way to connect to a system greater than himself and cope with PTSD brought on by a recent violent dog attack.

In his downtime, he carries a loaded pistol to the grocery store.

So great there is now a blind man walking around with a loaded weapon and an overwhelming fear of dogs.

I don't see how that can go wrong.

the world has gone completely mad !

And in more terrifying news -
Steve Bannon Believes The Apocalypse Is Coming And War Is Inevitable
Trump’s top adviser thinks we’re in “the great Fourth Turning in American history.”

Sure - he can predict it - because HE will help cause it - and he thinks his wildest dreams to destroy the world will come true

    1. Not to mention the experts consider this "fourth turning" to be pseudo science drivel.

Leave it to Bannon to believe that crock of shit.

Might as well give him a driver's license, too. I it when dumb decisions go all the way.

    1. So sorry about our diagnosis.

I don't know your personal story but maybe you might want to fight because you are loved. Fight because the world needs sparks of human spirit that keeps us out of the darkness. Fight because you are just raging against giving in.

      Namaste

I understand the feeling, I am sure you have loved ones that need and count on you for your strength. You can beat this.

Sorry for your news. Try and find a treatment that harnessed your own immune system rather than conventional chemo. Good luck. There is a lot of immunotherapy clinical trials out there.

    4. Dear Heart,
So very, very sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Thinking many positive thoughts and sending them your way. I'm pulling for you, believing that you have much to offer, much to give, much to do! I hope that your avenue to wellness is brightly illumined with cheer, goodwill, loving care, and most of, amazing medical expertise. ~Hugs~

3:11: I am very sorry to hear about your diagnosis. For your sake, I hope you have insurance that will cover your costs.
I am not in your shoes, so I cannot pretend to know what course you would want to take, but for sure: NEVER, EVER GIVE UP!!! My mom was diagnosed with Liver cancer in the early 1990s. Given a TWO PERCENT survival rate of ONE year. She is still alive and kicking today. And CANCER FREE! They did not do anything for her - no chemo, at first not even pain killers! I happened to find out about some alternative treatment with native remedy from South America, made sure she got it all the time for about 5years, and they finally declared her cancer free.
So: please fight - fight for your life, for yourself and also for your loved ones! You are NOT ALONE!!!

This could be an Onion story.
In fact, I believe the Onion, HAS done a story like this in the past.
We are truly living in an Idiocracy now.

In other gun related news, there s an ATF guy who want regular folks to have access now to silencers, armor piercing ammo, and other fun stuff.

Hey, shouldn't ever family have a loaded grenade launcher by the front door?

How about a tactical suitcase nuke in case someone cuts you off on the freeway?

    https://www.thetrace.org/2017/02/atf-official-white-paper-gun-industry-friendly-bureau/

The second-highest ranking official at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is proposing that the agency roll back restrictions on silencers, armor-piercing bullets, and the import of some foreign-made rifles, as well as reconsider efforts to force gun sellers to keep old sales records.

So a blind guy can now get a .45 with a silencer and armor piercing ammo, and go hunting with everyone else

    Make sense?

Not just blind, but also has PTSD. Crazy. The first rule of having a gun is never point it at something you don't want to kill. How can he follow this?

So when he kills someone, will his defense be “not my fault, I am totally blind” or “ I didn’t see him”?

I swear these gun nuts get stupider by the minute, so now you can be blind and mentally ill and carry an AK 47. WOW what could go wrong.

And trump/republicans are worried about refugees!!!

My pregnant sister in law was broadside by an elderly woman at a 4 way stop years ago. It was foggy, and the woman got out of her car and yelled, "Couldn't you tell that I couldn't see?" What?

  10. of course, I believe that PTSD should be a diagnosis that excludes one from carrying...but that might be too logical for the world we're living in !

No. Mental illness is not a reason to not get a gun anymore! (I consider PTSD a form of mental illness, because it does affect your mind after all - but, of course, I am not an expert.)

That thing he's holding is NOT a concealed weapon. How did he get a permit for that?
