The British have decided that there is no way that Donald Trump will be addressing Parliament during his visit.

You know what? I didn't want to talk to that stupid old Parliament anyhow.
Courtesy of The Guardian:

The government has abandoned the idea of Donald Trump addressing the joint Houses of Parliament when he comes to Britain for a state visit later this year after objections by MPs led by the Commons Speaker John Bercow.

The US president’s controversial visit is now expected to run from a Thursday to a Sunday in late summer or early autumn, with officials trying to ensure that Trump is not in London at a time when parliament is sitting, in order to avoid a formal snub.

According to Westminster sources, a weekend visit at the very end of August or in September is now under discussion between the government, Buckingham Palace and the White House. A source described such a plan as “the preferred option at our end”. Parliament will be in summer recess until 5 September and adjourns again for the party conferences on 15 September for nearly a month.

Such an arrangement would mean that Trump would not be invited to address parliament at all. The approach follows Bercow’s statement this week that he would not give his consent either to a speech by the president in Westminster Hall or in the royal gallery, both of which have traditionally been used for addresses by visiting statesmen and women.

However this decision does NOT guarantee that Trump will not be met with protests.

Actually quite substantial protests:

Donald Trump’s state visit will be greeted by the biggest anti-racism protest in British history no matter where in the country the Government moves it to, campaigners have said.

Local politicians and activists in Birmingham reacted with anger to suggestions that the trip could be relocated to their city – and pledged to flood the streets with protesters to greet the “hateful” President.

 Let's face it perhaps there are enough ignorant Americans to help Doanld Trump gain access to the White House, but the rest of the world is not so easily manipulated by the Russian government.

Sure there are some leaders who seem to like and respect him, but they, much like Benjamin Netanyahu, are invariably corrupt and ethically challenged as well.

    He can feck off as far as I'm concerned. We don't want that lout on this side of the Atlantic. You can keep him.

    1. Anonymous9:12 AM

      Thank you for resisting the bloated liar in chief. But, we don't want him either!
      He is scum!

    2. Anonymous10:48 AM

      Disgusting wanker, yes?

    3. Irishgirl11:18 AM

      I could say worse, but will try and still my Irish temper.

      Bullox. Shit. I couldn't help it.

    4. Anonymous12:02 PM

      My understanding is Barack H. Obama is the first and only American President that ever gave a speech at the 11th Century Westminister Hall. Someone there said trump not worthy to walk in Nelson Mandela shoes, Mandela also spoke there. They just don't let anyone speak there, and besides they don't want the Queen to be embarrassed.

    5. Anonymous2:24 PM

      11:18 Atta girl!

    6. Anonymous2:43 PM

      Queen Elizabeth very much liked President Obama and First Lady Michelle!

      I'll bet she is very much anti Trump (and his porn wife) and will be away when he visits her country.

    7. Anonymous9:16 AM

      Neither the Queen or any member of the Royal Family should be subjected to having to entertain DT; especially William or Harry after the filthy stuff Dt said about their mother and his stalking of her when she refused his advances.

  2. Anonymous8:40 AM

    No worries.
    He will be out by summer anyway. Gone. A bad dream.

  3. Anonymous8:45 AM

    I do not like the idea of him and his nude "model" wife visiting at Buckingham Palace, either. Two scummy trashy people.

    1. Anonymous9:37 AM

      Something is seriously wrong with Melania.
      She can barely get through an "official" appearance.

    2. Anonymous10:40 AM

      She appears to be under his contract and received the same as the previous women of this bully boy. She could make millions in a tell all book. Both look insecure and undeserving of their unlawful fake titles.

    3. Anonymous10:43 AM

      And what's with the freakin' sunglasses yesterday? She walked around everywhere like she thought she was on a photo shoot and not acting like a hostess. It reeked of asocial behaviour and looked weird.

      I read there were over 250,000 people signed up to make a human chain around the palace. I have no idea if this true or not.

      You never know about those crazy Brits. It would be fun to see.

    6. Anonymous12:21 PM

      We Brits are not crazy, just can not stand for any treatment that seems unfair. We object to tRump because he is low class, repulsive and an illegitimate president. He is Putin's puppet. He is EVERYTHING President Obama was NOT. Low intelligence, no class. His wife is a sleazy porn model, perfect match for him.

    7. Anonymous12:55 PM

      10:40, I read that as "unlawful fake titties" (snort)

    8. Anonymous1:00 PM

      The Queen should be out of town also, she spends the summer at Balmoral.

      So I guess donnie will spend his time checking out his business ventures @taxpayers expense again.

    9. Anonymous1:15 PM

      Just want to add that The Ladies of London wasn't the same without Annabelle.

    10. Anonymous1:17 PM

      Melania was a freak yesterday posing at M-a-L with Trump and the Abes. If you look at the video moment that was released, she moved around posing with her mean face/open mouth poses constantly--she acted like she was at a shoot. And she sucked at it.

    11. Anonymous1:19 PM

      I saw a couple articles praising Mrs. Abe's style and saying Melania's was a snore and she showed no personality. As well, they wondered what the two women could have talked about since Mrs. Abe has a degree and strong interest in politics and she often comes right out in disagreement with her husband.

    12. Anonymous1:23 PM

      No offense meant 12:21. Didn't mean crazy insane, meant crazy fun. The Brits and their sense of humor have always cracked me up.

      It's a good feeling to know the whole world sees this ugly American for what he is and are speaking out about it.

      Thanks! To you and every single human worldwide for the comments, tweets, protests, everything. It is much appreciated. Y'all put a little hope in my heart.

      Donald Trump told he won’t escape the ‘biggest protest in British history’ by moving his state visit

      Local politicians in Birmingham have pledged to greet any trip by the President with mass protests

      ...“It doesn’t matter where he goes. We will march in our millions against him, and our government’s collusion, in every town and city in Britain.”

    14. Anonymous2:09 PM

      @1:17 Please post the video of Mellow..

    15. Anonymous2:35 PM

      I did see Melania take off the glasses to shake hands with Abe. They should have been off already and in her purse. If she had eye issues, it'd be another thing entirely. And someone with eye issues (such as Harry Reid, who Trump mocked and he suggested that HR exercise with his stretch bands again in order to lose sight in his other eye--THIS kind of thing is why I don't feel bad wishing Trump dead) would also wish to express why they seemed to lack etiquette, whereas it doesn't even occur to that b-i that she's doing anything that is questionable.

    Why? Why doesn't the world love me? Comrade Vladimir promised me he can make me second to no one except to him.

    He promised me the world would love me.

  5. O/T but very valuable advice.

    Bernice King, daughter of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, posted the 10 steps on how to deal with Trump and take back our democratic government. She passed on this wise advice:
    -Don’t use his name; EVER (45 will do)
    -Remember this is a regime and he’s not acting alone;
    -Do not argue with those who support him–it doesn’t work;
    -Focus on his policies, not his orange-ness and mental state;
    -Keep your message positive; they want the country to be angry and fearful because this is the soil from which their darkest policies will grow;
    -No more helpless/hopeless talk;
    -Support artists and the arts;
    -Be careful not to spread fake news. Check it;
    -Take care of yourselves; and
    Then, Bernice also offered this wisdom on her Facebook page:
    ‘Keep demonstrations peaceful. In the words of John Lennon, “When it gets down to having to use violence, then you are playing the system’s game. The establishment will irritate you – pull your beard, flick your face – to make you fight! Because once they’ve got you violent, then they know how to handle you. The only thing they don’t know how to handle is non-violence and humor.”
    ‘When you post or talk about him, don’t assign his actions to him, assign them to “The Republican Administration,” or “The Republicans.” This will have several effects: the Republican legislators will either have to take responsibility for their association with him or stand up for what some of them don’t like; he will not get the focus of attention he craves; Republican representatives will become very concerned about their re-elections.’
    "We shall overcome!"

      Good advice 10:10 AM. Thank you.

  6. Anonymous10:19 AM

    "That is — did the president instruct General Flynn to talk to the ambassador? And did he know about it? If he knew about this conversation, when did he know it? That, to me, that is the key question. And we need to find out what that answer is."

  7. Anonymous10:29 AM

    "THIS argument is strange. First, the promise to donate profits only applied to one of his four benefits streams—the hotels. It doesn’t deal with Trump Tower, the Apprentice, or his global developments. Also, it’s kind of an admission of GUILT."
    " This solution is like committing a $IN and PAYing a penance afterward. You can’t do that. You violate the Constitution the minute the benefit is accepted."
    "Will THIS suit force him to release his tax returns?
    It’s a necessary part of understanding the scope of the violation and its particulars." I emphasize in the book is that because we cannot peer into other’s hearts and know what motivates them, the best anti-corruption laws are prophylactic." aka "Greek for "an advance guard,"

    1. Anonymous 10:29 AM wrote (quoting, with added emphasis, the interviewer in the cited article): Will THIS suit force him to release his tax returns?

      Keep in mind that a branch of the federal government already has his tax returns. As reported by Though our new president may not realize it, Congress has the power to obtain his tax returns and reveal them to the public without his consent, including returns under audit.

      Apparently it's only necessary for the relevant Congressional committee to develop the will to do it, not the whole body.

  8. Anonymous10:32 AM

    Ban his travel to UK entirely. He will resign or be impeached prior to this trip along with his cast of deplorable liars.

  9. Anonymous10:35 AM

    Well this is understandable. He is unsecured and unvetted. And lies like a pimp in church.

    1. Anonymous12:24 PM

      His grandpappy was a pimp, so it is not too much of a stretch for little Donny to have those same traits. Maybe that is why he has no class, either.

    2. Anonymous1:22 PM

      Speaking of, I saw a headline, but didn't have time to read the article, yesterday saying that Kellyann's family has mob connections.

    Hillary Clinton will run for president. Again. Here’s the proof.

  14. I do hope the Queen happens to be "out of town" as well. No need to insult her by requiring her to be within 50 feet of America's embarrassment.

    Let some low level flunky show them around the sites. You know. Like how he treated Mrs. Abe in D.C when the First Twat wasn't there to fulfill her duties. Disrespecting norms swings both ways. About time he was on the receiving end.

    Let Theresa May show him all of the tourist sites. After all, this visit was her fault.
