An Actual False-Flag Operation at CPAC
Meet the protesters who tricked conference attendees into waving Russian flags.

Two men made trouble—and stirred up a social-media frenzy—on the third day of the Conservative Political Action Conference by conducting a literal false-flag operation.

    LATEST FROM POLITICS

The Atlantic Politics & Policy Daily: CPACalypse Now

Jason Charter, 22, and Ryan Clayton, 36, passed out roughly 1,000 red, white, and blue flags, each bearing a gold-emblazoned “TRUMP” in the center, to an auditorium full of attendees waiting for President Trump to address the conference. Audience members waved the pennants—and took pictures with them—until CPAC staffers realized the trick: They were Russian flags.

The stunt made waves on social media, as journalists covering CPAC noticed the scramble to confiscate the insignia.

How long did it take the CPAC folks to figure out that the flags were Russian flags? What idiots.

BREAKING: Supreme Court Advances Lawsuit to NULLIFY 2016 Election

@5:34"contacted Counsel Press for further clarification and spoke to Liebman, who reiterated that under 20 percent of distributed petitions even rated discussion during the conferences. Liebman added that the Chief JUSTICE directed the Court to take note of cases they believed merited discussion, and the vast majority of distributed cases didn’t rate. He OPINED that the individuals who filed this one had a better chance of winning a Powerball lottery than their motion did of moving forward. We asked if any petition whatsoever would be distributed irrespective of its merits (or lack thereof), and Liebman confirmed that all docketed petitions were distributed." CJROBERTS?
"That the motion discussed here was scheduled to be distributed pn 17 March 2017 did not suggest that the Supreme Court took any action validating the petition; it advanced to that step merely by the mundane phenomenon of remaining docketed."

--The Reince Priebus panic move suggests Trump-Russia scandal runs even deeper than imagined

Who else outside of the Trump campaign was involved?

With each passing day, the Donald Trump Russia scandal begins to read more like the kind of bad international spy novel you’d find at an airport gift shop. When it comes to the increasingly strange ways in which Trump and his associates were involved, no new evidence or accusation would surprise me. But until two days ago, I believed that Trump-Russia was contained entirely to Trump’s own people. This new Reince Priebus panic move, however, suggests something else.

Despite his current status as Donald Trump’s White House Chief of Staff, Reince Priebus is not a Trump loyalist. He never has been. During the campaign, while he was RNC Chair, he acted completely neutral as to whether Trump became the nominee or not. He’s not someone who’s willing to take a fall for Trump now. In addition, Priebus is one of the few power players in the Trump White House who seems to understand how anything in government works.

So when Priebus asked the FBI to help him scuttle the Russia scandal, he wasn’t acting on a naive whim. In fact he started off as RNC general counsel before he was RNC Chair, so he knows political law better than most. He knew he was committing Watergate-level obstruction of justice. He knew the risk he was taking. Yet he was willing to break the law in a last ditch effort to try to make the Russia scandal go away. This suggests that Priebus himself, or someone else he’s deeply loyal to, was involved in the Russia scandal to begin with.

If Priebus was indeed involved in the conspiracy to work with Russia to rig the election, he had to have been doing so back while he was RNC Chair. When you look at how early on Vladimir Putin began trying to set the stage for Hillary Clinton to lose the 2016 election, including bringing Republican operatives like Michael Flynn and Sheriff David Clarke and even Green Party candidate Jill Stein to Moscow in December of 2015, long before Putin could have known that Trump would be the nominee, it raises the question of just whom Putin may have been conspiring with in those early days.

Was the effort to rig the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton originally a conspiracy between Russia and Republican Party leaders? Is that why Reince Priebus, who was Chair of the Republican National Committee at the time, is now going to such desperate lengths to keep the remaining details from coming out?

I told you the Republicans in Congress would turn against Donald Trump if they had to

Don’t be surprised. This is simply how politics works.

Republican Congressman Darrell Issa is now calling for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to recuse himself so that an independent special prosecutor can lead a real investigation into Donald Trump’s Russia scandal. This comes just a few days after Republican Senator Susan Collins publicly called for Michael Flynn to testify in the Trump-Russia scandal. One by one, the Republicans in Congress are turning against Trump – just like I told you they would if it came down to it.

Republican Darrell Issa calls for Trump-Russia special prosecutor, asks Jeff Sessions to recuse himself

    This changes everything.

Republican Congressman Darrell Issa has long been a thorn in the side of Democrats everywhere. But on Friday night he delivered what may be the best news for Democrats since Donald Trump took office. Issa appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher and – to the surprise of everyone involved – called for an independent special prosecutor to investigate Donald Trump’s Russia scandal. Then he took things even further.

Darrell Issa Calls for Special Prosecutor to Investigate Trump-Russia Contacts

Issa said Sessions must recuse himself: "You cannot have somebody, a friend of mine Jeff Sessions, who was on the campaign and who is an appointee."

In what is kind of a big deal, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), who supported Trump during the election, said on HBO’s “Real Time” with Bill Maher that a special prosecutor is necessary to investigate Trump’s contacts with Russia.

Asked by Maher if it were 2012 and it was Romney’s campaign that was hacked and Obama who had a lot of contact with Russia if he would let the matter “slide” Issa said, “No.” In a breathtaking moment, when Maher asked, “So you’re not gonna let this slide?” Issa again said, “No.”

The moment was captured by Dave Itzkoff (the full interview can be found here):

After FBI refused, Trump White House used other intel officials (and a Senator) to scuttle Russia investigation

Donald Trump’s attempted Russia coverup just got much worse

After being rebuffed by the FBI, the Donald Trump White House then asked officials from other (unnamed) U.S. intelligence agencies to speak to reporters and tell them that the existing Trump-Russia accusations aren’t true, and these officials proceeded to do so. We know this because two of the officials involved are now admitting as much to the media, having decided to come clean.

In addition these officials are also asserting that the Trump White House asked the Republican heads of the Senate and House Intelligence Committees to have the same kinds of conversations with reporters. Congressman Devin Nunes is now directly admitting that he tried to throw reporters off the Trump-Russia scandal trail at the request of the White House. Senator Richard Burr is also acknowledging his complicity in a more vague manner.

This latest revelation means that Donald Trump’s White House has managed to drag U.S. intel officials and two members of Congress into participating in its attempted coverup of the Trump-Russia scandal, thus pushing it much further into coverup territory than Richard Nixon’s White House went with Watergate. This now officially confirms what many Americans already believed: Trump-Russia is the most egregious political scandal and attempted coverup in American history.

Donald Trump administration unwittingly confirms Reince Priebus pressured FBI over Russia

White House was so eager to ding CNN over one detail, it confirmed overall story

Here’s something you don’t see every day: an administration which delves so vehemently into making the media look bad that it ends up unwittingly confirming the truth about one of its own exploding scandals in the process. But that’s precisely what happened today when Donald Trump’s White House tried to push back against a CNN report that White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus had pressured the FBI over the Trump-Russia investigation.

‘Massive scandal’: Ex-DOJ spokesman says Reince Preibus must resign after calling FBI about Russia

Miller also said that a quiet resignation wouldn’t do, and that Priebus should be forced to explain publicly what he asked the FBI to do.

“He has to come out tomorrow,” Miller said. “He has to answer questions from the press, he has to talk to Congress, he has to explain what exactly he talked about, what exactly he told them.”

  20. Lawyers have filed against Kellyanus Conjob. They are looking to have her disbarred (eventually).

What will poor Kellyanus do when she is no longer a Trumpster and no longer a lawyer?

This is what happens when you sell your soul.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/conway-legal-misconduct_us_58b10f3de4b0a8a9b7829063?kz288v3zgbaf9a4i&

"President Donald Trump’s counselor Kellyanne Conway should face sanctions for “professional misconduct,” which include repeated lies and ethics breaches, according to a formal complaint filed by 15 law professors across the nation.

“We do not file this complaint lightly,” states the letter, which legal ethics professors from leading universities such as Yale, Georgetown, Fordham and Duke filed this week. “We believe that, at one time, Ms. Conway understood her ethical responsibilities as a lawyer and abided by them. But she is currently behaving in a way that brings shame upon the legal profession.”

Conway obtained a law degree from George Washington University Law School. She was admitted to the Washington, D.C., bar in 1995, though she is currently suspended for nonpayment of dues, according to the complaint."

Gee, too cheap to pay her dues? Burning her bridges? Thinks she'll no longer need that law degree?

I would think if she is suspended it would be much easier to disbar her considering these ethics violations.
