Arnold Schwarzenegger will NOT "be back" on The Apprentice. Blames Trump for poor ratings. Update!

Courtesy of Empire Online:

Fans of Celebrity Apprentice are about to lose the show's biggest asset as Arnold Schwarzenegger will not be returning to host another season of the show. "I learned a lot, I had a great time, it was a really great opportunity," Schwarzenegger said, speaking exclusively to Empire. "But under the circumstances I don't want to do it again."

"It's not about the show," he explained. "because everyone I ran into came up to me and said 'I love the show... but I turned it off because as soon as I read Trump's name I'm outta there!'"

"NBC did everything they could to promote the show and [producer] Mark Burnett did a fantastic job. No one really knew that this was going to happen and I think that everyone was caught off guard."

"When people found out that Trump was still involved as executive producer and was still receiving money from the show, then half the people [started] boycotting it."

"Even if asked [to do it again] I would decline." Said Schwarzenegger. "With Trump being involved in the show people have a bad taste and don't want to participate as a spectator or as a sponsor or in any other way support the show. It's a very divisive period now and I think this show got caught up in all that division."

Of course as we know Trump blamed the low ratings on Schwarzenegger.
And then just today Trump went after Schwarzenegger again.
However I would agree with Arnold on this one.

Trump's name is now toxic.

Unless Trump wants to also blame his poor approval ratings, the rejection of Ivanka's clothing line, and small inauguration crowds on Schwarzenegger as well.

Personally I always thought that the contrived conflicts in The Apprentice were an insult to the viewer's intelligence, but apparently there are a number of people in this country with no intelligence to insult.

I would also classify them as "Trump voters."

Update: Arnold responds.
Nicely done.

8:56, my thoughts exactly. The guy is so stupid he undermines himself at every turn. He’s like the person who does the same stupid thing expecting a different outcome.

What the f*ck ISN'T wrong with him! He can't HELP himself from behaving like (and I'm being generous here) a preteen girl on a jealous rampage!!! We are officially the laughingstock of the globe thanks to Trumplethinskin.

Just add that show to the growing heap of failed Trump "brand" projects and products and (hopefully soon) presidency.

Trump is a huge failure already! His presidency will end at some point in time before the end of four years.

He's an embarrassment to our country and terribly un-American!

Trump should have no inside information as to the workings of Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice, but he knows Arnold was fired? And not by him. Yeah, okay, Trump. Donnyboy, you have the right to remain silent.. use it!

No, the 'ratings' fired him..the ratings are human beings?
Frankly, I never ever watched this and would never watch anything connected with ConMan Trump. I'm hopeful his ignorant policies will keep ALL foreign visitors home this summer, and cost the US economy trillions. Only then will everyone see how toxic this creep is to us.

I watched this show many years ago once and at that time I thought? What a disgusting pouty pig and his children yucky ducky doo doo. Even then before knowing his toxic behavior and life I could not stand to watch such a garbage show. It is not entertainment it was pure garbage. And now he rigged a usa election and pretends to be a so called alt president, really? You are fired don.

Totally O/T, but important to this group as today is Open Data Day.

I got this in an email from Mozilla and am pasting in large chunk of info.

(Who knew there was a direct connection between the Hubble Space Telescope and breast cancer screening? Not me. Now I do, and so do you!)

    https://iheartopendata.org/en-US/

    "GET INVOLVED
Did you know our federal taxes help fund billions of dollars in scientific research every year?

But in order to see the results of that research, publishers often charge significant amounts of money to anyone that wants to read about it.

Shouldn’t we be able to see what we’re paying for without having to pay for it twice?

Publicly-funded research saves lives and has transformed the way we learn, live and communicate.

There are big barriers to finding that research for everyday people - such as paywalls and complicated search features.

Given today is Open Data Day we thought that it would be a great moment for us as taxpayers (the funders of large amounts of scientific research!) to advance a set of principles we’d like to see apply to publicly-funded research:

We should be able to see work we pay for

The public should have full, open access to publicly-funded research, free of cost and available online.

Open access to data will help individual entrepreneurs, researchers and consumers build on and use information generated from research.

Thanks to publicly funded research made openly available, farmers in Colorado have access to weather data to predict irrigation costs and market cycles for crops.

Publicly-funded research should be preserved and archived.

We don’t know when research will come in handy again so preservation is key!

For example, the technology developed for the Hubble space telescope was later used to create a new method of breast cancer screening.

That’s why it’s crucial for this work to be preserved and archived rigorously.
    Data should be truly open.

You should be able to read studies without having a third party track what you're doing, and without needing expensive software to decipher complicated file formats.

It should be easy for professional and citizen scientists alike to search data quickly and efficiently."

You can put your name on the petition at that same link above:

How can you get fired by ratings? Who are these ratings?

Are they like corporations? can they donate to campaigns.

The moron will probable want to do Celebrity Apprentice next year as an side from that "easy" job as president.

Arnold is 100% correct; people boycotted the show just like they are boycotting other trump brand products. trump is no match for Arnold's wit.

Why doesn’t trump save his precious show? He can resign as president and go back to his pathetic program. Do us all a bigly, beautiful favor so we can sleep at night!!

    1. His show was tanking before he quit to run for president. Had he stayed on, it would have been canceled. This way he can save face by blaming Schwarzenegger.

O/T, but related to Trump's stupidity:

A Tweet May Get Trump Impeached As President Declassified FISA Warrant On His Own People:

    http://www.politicususa.com/2017/03/04/fisa-warrant-include-cert-target-foreign-power-agent-foreign-power.html

Heat Street reported that the FBI was granted a FISA warrant in October of 2016 to cover the activities of “‘U.S. persons’ in Donald Trump’s campaign with ties to Russia.”

The confirmation of a FISA warrant will be denied because that’s the nature of intelligence work. So it’s up to time to reveal if there was a FISA warrant issued, but people in the know seem to think there is.

If there wasn’t a FISA warrant issued already, Trump’s tweets just admitted that there should be. So the question is, the warrant would need to have certified that the person or people are foreign powers or agents of.

By tweeting without thinking, Trump may have declassified a warrant and brought down his entire presidency.

    1. Trump's tweet was based on right-wing conspiracy sites, not on actual facts. It is highly unlikely that he understands what the president is and is not authorized to do.

I'm sure he *thinks* the president can order intelligence sources to "tapp" people's phones, but that is not how it works.

  19. Mark Burnett could have shut Trump down by releasing those tapes and he didn't.

    Fuck him.

Neither Trump nor Burnett were willing to let The Apprentice go. The ratings were already tanking before the election. If Trump hadn't of run, the show probably would have been canceled. They tried to keep it alive with a different celebrity, a more famous and well-loved celebrity, but even Arnold Schwarzenegger couldn't save that sinking ship. Because Trump was only a producer, he can then blame Arnold for the ratings. Arnold is right. The Trump name is toxic. Everything it is attached to turns to crap.
