Rachel Maddow finds new pieces to make sense of that Russian dossier puzzle.

I am watching Rachel carefully right now because she seems to be perhaps the most visible and well known journalist actively working to put all of this together.

Hopefully if she continues down this road she WILL eventually put it all together, and even perhaps get an interview with Christopher Steele himself.

Get your popcorn: Sally Yates gets her revenge on Donald Trump on March 20th

Public hearings will be televised, and Yates is the star witness

...This means that the Democrats can use their allotted time to allow Sally Yates to publicly spell out the sequence of events behind closed doors that led to her firing. It initially appeared that Trump had fired her due to their differences over his Muslim ban, which was later struck by federal appeals court. But it was subsequently revealed that Yates tried to warn Trump that his National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was compromised over Russia. Just a few days later, Trump used the Muslim ban as an excuse to fire Yates, while doing nothing about Flynn until after his Russian collusion leaked to the media.

Because these hearings are public, the television cameras will be rolling, and Sally Yates will indeed get an opportunity for a measure of revenge by helping expose Donald Trump’s Russia scandal. And the fascinating part is that there will be nothing Trump can do about it, other than to jump on Twitter and whine about Yates as she exposes how he refused to act on the knowledge that Michael Flynn was dirty.

James Comey just found his nationally televised venue for debunking Donald Trump’s wiretap claim

Comey is being handed his moment before the television cameras

...Even if the Republicans on the committee don’t ask Comey about Trump’s wiretap claim, the Democrats certainly will during their allotted time.

And then Comey will simply be answering a Congressman’s question, conveniently in front of live television cameras. How can he be considered insubordinate when he was called to testify and he was asked a direct question under oath? It gives Comey the public venue he’s presumably been looking for. He gets to publicly put Trump’s wiretap nonsense to bed.

Report: Donald Trump adviser Roger Stone was in direct contact with Russian government hackers

Forget WikiLeaks. Report says Stone was talking with Russian government hackers directly.

...But now The Smoking Gun is reporting that Stone was also communicating directly with Russian government hackers.

The report says that Roger Stone communicated with the hacker known as Guccifer 2.0, a self identified lone wolf who has since been revealed by U.S. intel to have been a creation of the secretive GRU arm of the Russian government. This stands out as noteworthy because up to now, there has been a wide swath of evidence that half a dozen Donald Trump advisers communicated with the Russian Ambassador, but no firm evidence that Trump’s advisers were communicating with Russian government hackers. Stone has admitted communication with WikiLeaks, which was allegedly given the Democratic Party emails by Russian hackers, but he had not admitted communication with the Russian hackers themselves.

    Why does the distinction matter?

    The Madness of President Donald

He insists Obama is an evil mastermind determined to undo him—and a moron who engaged in wildly illegal and ineffective actions.

...The remnants of the conservative right watch as the Trump Troll Party grunts tweet-derived talking points from an obvious madman, abandoning principle, reason, fact, and intellectual rigor. The irresistible, gravitational draw of his charismatic lunacy has pulled even smart conservatives into its field. I had a heated series of messages with a conservative writer this weekend who wouldn’t even bring himself to acknowledge that this absurd moment was a creation of Trump’s fevered imagination and fueled by a Trumpbart conspiracy fantasy. It perfectly illustrated the post-logic right; they will contort themselves beyond recognition to back up even the most ludicrous propositions if they can scream “but Obama!” and “lock her up!” and “but the MSM!”

The Russia Scandal EXPLODED In December, Implicating Paul Ryan, And No One Noticed

...And how is Paul Ryan involved in any of this? The National Republican Campaign Committee and the Congressional Leadership Fund, a superPAC that’s tied to Ryan, both used stolen D.C.C.C. documents to mount an attack campaign against Joe Garcia, a Florida Democrat who lost a very competitive race with Carlos Curbelo who unseated Garcia in 2014.

The illicit material was used in other states as well, including swing states like Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Ohio and North Carolina; as well as in Illinois and New Mexico. Anywhere where Democratic candidates were in very tight races against their GOP opponents.

Whether Paul Ryan knew about the CLF’s use of material hacked by the Russians is anyone’s guess. The point remains, though, that his own super-PAC used information that came courtesy of Russia, which means that Russia didn’t just influence the presidential side of things — they influenced the Congressional side of things.

    Maddow said:

'More pieces of it are falling into place. The Trump campaign used to deny that any of its staffers, anyone related to the Trump campaign had any contact with any Russians during the campaign. Well, no. In fact, meetings between the Trump campaign and the Russians have now led to the resignation of the National Security Adviser. It’s led to the recusal of the Attorney General of the United States. The Trump campaign, as of last night, is not only admitting a trip to Russia by one of its official foreign policy advisers during the campaign but as of last night, they’re now admitting that this trip was authorized by the Trump campaign at the time he went to Moscow. Now, politico.com is reporting what is basically a direct Russian tie to that that change in the Republican Party platform to benefit Russia last year.

With each passing day, more parts of this dossier get corroborated, get supported by the facts, and previous denials by the Trump campaign whether it’s about Jeff Sessions, whether it’s about Carter Page, whether it’s about Mike Flynn, whether it’s about that Ukraine platform, whether it’s about Paul Manafort. Their previous denials are all falling apart.

We’re learning more about what happened. We’re learning more about what bullpucky the Trump campaign denials were on some of this stuff. We’re learning more about these investigations.'

But Steele is a Deadman-type hero to me.

Maybe...? Deadman, also known as Boston Brand, is a supernatural superhero and a ghost. Murdered by an assassin, his spirit haunts the mortal realm bringing justice to those who deserve it. Although he cannot directly interact with the physical world, he can possess bodies of the living and control them towards his own ends.

Trump Lies and a Russian Profits As Keystone XL Will Not Use American Steel

A Russian oligarch's company actively lobbied against provisions which mandated that Keystone XL’s steel be made in the U.S. so Trump eliminated the provisions.

...Notice that Trump broke his pledge to American steel workers under “active lobbying” by the Russian oligarch’s company to forego the provision mandating that TransCanada exclusively use American steel to build KeystoneXL or “we’re not building one.” Whether it is because Trump is indebted to Putin for interfering in America’s democratic process, or because he is close family friends with the oligarch Abramovich, the “stunning reversal” on the prohibition against non-American-made steel is yet another gross conflict of interest for the Trump. However, he will continue on as if his administration is immune from investigation and scrutiny because it is with Republicans going to the mat to protect their rubber stamp in the Oval Office.

What are they talking about the pipeline is already finished except for the last segment in N.Dakota.

The pipe was already made and sitting there waiting to finish the last segment in N. Dakota, so trump lied when he signed the E.O.

It will start sending oil in a couple of weeks.

Trump also lied when he said it would create 10,000 jobs, unless he is referring to the jobs created for cleaning up the environmental disasters.

Trump’s OMB Cuts Coast Guard and Airport Security To Fund Mexico Border Wall

...The Trump proposal, drawn up by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), would slash the budget of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which provides disaster relief after hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural and man-caused disasters. The Coast Guard’s 2017 budget would be cut by roughly 14 percent, while the TSA and FEMA budgets would be cut by 11 percent each. Apparently in the Trump brain trust, it is prudent to slash funding for real national security agencies that actually serve to protect Americans to partially fund a border wall that serves no other purpose than making a political statement.

The pieces of the puzzle are falling into place one by one and the picture is not pretty. The U.S.A. was well respected under President Obama. Now, we are watching in horror as your country is going down the abyss with the dismantling of every legislation aimed at protecting the population and the environment and with the loss of its reputation on the world stage with your lying and erratic president. The portion of the U.S.A. who voted for this will come to regret their choice once they are affected personally. Unfortunately, they will drag down the rest of the country with them. Other countries will also feel the effects of Trump's misguided policies on immigration, the environment and foreign relations, etc. The future doesn't look very promising for you and for all of us at the moment.
