Rachel Maddow reports on the odd coincidence of a Russian oligarch's plane showing up at various Trump campaign stops.

Well. isn't THAT interesting?

After that break Rachel was joined by journalist David Cay Johnston who suggests that it seems very likely that Rybolovlev was working as an emissary for Vladimir Putin.

But nah, that's crazy. Clearly this is just another one of those crazy coincidences, right?

Right?

By the way, while we are on the topic, it appears that Rachel Maddow is killing it in the ratings right now:

MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” has been on a roll, posting her best ratings month ever in February and nearly doubling her viewership. Her secret is simple. Maddow said she covers President Donald Trump’s White House in a very old-fashioned Hollywood way.

“We developed sort of an informal, internal mantra… which is that we basically cover them as if they are a silent movie,” Maddow told TheWrap. “I stopped covering the Twitter feed and we started covering only what they do rather than what they say.”

Gee, no wonder Trump supporters keep attacking Rachel Maddow all over the internet in an attempt to discredit her.

it's too bad that this stuff didn't come out before the election. Brilliant move to cover what they do, twitter is just a diversion.

    1. The media had no motivation to do so. Hillary was sure to win. They had to keep it quiet so that it was a horse race and not a slaughter. That's how they keep their ratings up.

Unfortunately they erred too far on the side of caution and made Trump seem to plausible and presidential. Aside from giving him WAAAAAAAY more face time.

Now they are stuck with the monster they essentially created.

Rachel Maddow is doing an excellent job delving into 'real' Donald Trump actions. He's a joke and absolutely the worst American we have in our nation!

He'll never represent the majority of Americans. We didn't vote for him and are appalled by the liar and fraud!

I could see being at Charlotte together if that guy was on his way to his place in FLA and was on a commercial flight with a Charlotte hub, like when I'd fly US Airways a lot and often stopped in Charlotte, but this non-commercial flight stuff and hop-skip-and-jump involving Concord is too much. I had read on Malclom Nance's Twitter a while back that on the NC day the Russian was arriving from Europe, I think from Switzerland. Why stop in NC if going to FLA on your own plane? And I'm not sure where he stayed in FLA--isn't that house he bought from Trump just sitting there unoccupied?

The house etc. was demolished and the land was subdivided into lots.

I am wondering if our presidente Herr trump.
Maybe should be on "suicide watch". He appears quite capable of hurting himself. As he has for some time exhibited irrational behavior?
Maybe it's normal behavior for him ?However it is not for the leader of a great Country such as ours!

No he is a sociopath, he won't kill himself.

This whole story is about everyone "out to get him" and he thinks he is smarter than everyone and will never be indicted.

It would be a treat for many Americans IF the Trump were to hurt himself. He does appear to be mentally disturbed!

    4. I don't think there is a high occurrence of suicide amongst malignant narcissists.

If he did, he'd use pills. He wouldn't want any pain or to damage his beautiful body. The best body ever. No one has a better body than him.

Trump would do America a huge service by putting himself out of misery! It would stop the misery he is putting on all of us throughout the country. We cannot be rid of him soon enough!

OT, but I'm still wondering why Flynn flew in to FLA with Trump on AF1 the weekend before he was fired. He was photographed taking the plane and being outside when Trump was golfing over the weekend. The Monday after that weekend, he sat in the middle of the front row when Trump and the Canadian OM spoke. It seemed that there was a point made to include Flynn and have him be seen. Yet during the M-a-L weekend, it's said that Trump was pissed to see Flynn dining at one of the tables where everyone else was dining at M-a-L. I could see Trump wanting to look like he stood behind Flynn, but he was dissing him in private. Why the big show then? Flynn must have known that Trump was pissed. So why go and go along with the show? At the time, I wondered if it had anything to do with the Russians and Trump had to keep Flynn around. Until he no longer could and there was a communication with the Russians that there was no way Flynn could be kept around anymore. I wonder when Flynn will finally talk. I don't see him able to stay quiet forever.

    1. Not sure how much a non-disclosure covers. Can you testify in court? Can you testify before Congress?

There's also the pesky 5th amendment that the Right loves almost as much as the 2nd. Would Flynn incriminate himself to save his own ass and take down Trump?

A non disclosure is completely nullified if you are testifying as a witness oe plaintiff/dependent in court. Though a judge may later seal the case in a civil proceeding.

Gotta wonder what it's been like at Mar-a-Lago today with Ivanka's kids all there. Trump woke up and was tweeting by 6:35 in the morn. Did he rant and cause a scene or quietly handle his outrage? Barron's in NYC. (Tomorrow will make six weeks since he's seen him.) Melania must have woken up to find out that the a-hole in FLA had tweeted out a ton of insanity. She must have been very glad that she and Barron were in NYC and not FLA.

I've worried about her too! Would imagine she has security as do many other journalists.

I'm sure she is aware that Trump could go after her as to being gay, etc. Her viewership is highly rated now and she is damn good at her job.

If Trump goes after her, it'll do nothing but increase her ratings even more! She's doing one Hell of a job as to providing factual information where Trump is concerned.

I try not to miss her show every week- day evening on cable TV. (MSNBC)

Time to look into Ivanka's vacation with putin's girlfriend.

Who else was on that vacation?

Seriously. Why, immediately after the GOP convention, did she have to vacay in Croatia of all places and with Wendi Deng, who's a friend and was rumored (she denied it) to be Putin's girlfriend? And, too, Beavis and Butthead went up to Canada immediately to hunt. Right away, all three kids left the country.

I thought it was odd for Ivanka to go on a vacation with a girlfriend right after giving birth. Who does that?!

Also, really? She and Murdoch's x-wife are friends? Isn't Wendi much older than Ivanka?

Anyone that sings or writes "We don't need no" is in desperate need of an education. Without it, you'd lack the critical thinking skills to identify thought control.

That's exactly what happened in the last election.

You have it so backwards dude. Republicans could not give two shits about discrediting Maddow. She discredits herself. Conspiracy chasing is not news and is not going to win you back the White House. So by all means, tune in to Maddow every night and get your warm fuzzies.

I've always found Jimmy Dore a little goofy, but he does seem to get much of what is going wrong with the democratic party and the left in general.
