Devin Nunes is stepping aside as House Intelligence Committee Chairman. At least for now.

Courtesy of Politico:

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) will temporarily step aside from an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, including interactions between Moscow and the Trump campaign. In a statement, Nunes blamed complaints filed with the Office of Congressional Ethics over his decision to brief President Donald Trump on intelligence intercepts of conversations between Trump campaign aide and Russian officials during the election.

“Several left-wing activist groups have filed accusations against me with the Office of Congressional Ethics," Nunes said in a statement Thursday. "The charges are entirely false and politically motivated, and are being leveled just as the American people are beginning to learn the truth about the improper unmasking of the identities of U.S. citizens and other abuses of power."

Nunes added: "Despite the baselessness of the charges, I believe it is in the best interests of the House Intelligence Committee and the Congress for me to have Representative Mike Conaway, with assistance from Representatives Trey Gowdy and Tom Rooney, temporarily take charge of the Committee’s Russia investigation while the House Ethics Committee looks into this matter. I will continue to fulfill all my other responsibilities as Committee Chairman, and I am requesting to speak to the Ethics Committee at the earliest possible opportunity in order to expedite the dismissal of these false claims.”

"Baselessness of the charge" my ass, this guy has been trying to sabotage this investigation since jump street.

Besides it is kind of hard for Nunes to lead this investigation, now that he is now under investigation as well:
Oh yeah, this just gets better and better.

So the good news is that this Trump puppet will no longer be obstructing this investigation.

The bad news is that Trey "Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi" Gowdy is stepping in to obstruct in his absence.

I am not at all sure that we can count this as a complete victory.

Seriously. This is not great behavior but lets not beat around the bush, literally!! When will legal prostitution happen. Instead of having a rapist for president and men assaulting women why not cut the crap and have a place for these horn dogs to fu*K something. I know this sounds crude but lets get real, it aint gonna change until there is a legal remedy for horn dogs to go. At least they will be documented and monitored.

This administration is in utter chaos and is pulling anything out as a distraction. This Susan Rice thing is a big nothing burger and that's all they have to distract from the Russia collusion, the ethics complaints and the fact that no one knows what they are doing.

Bannon "quietly" removed from NSC, Nunes dirty as hell and they're all like "but Susan Rice...unmaskining, rah, rah, rah..."

Yeah, right, guys, you got nothin'.

PeePeetape Next? THREAT THE PRESS>“Jeff — Too bad you (CNN) couldn’t be honest with how well I did in the debate. The dumbest thing I ever did was get you the job at CNN — you are the most disloyal person. Just remember, I always seem to find a way to get even.
    Best wishes, Donald J. Trump.”

"[T]he only thing better than having Donald Trump on your network is having him attack it. Far from hurting CNN, Trump’s war against it has amounted to a form of product placement — ‘earned media,’ you could say — giving its anchors and correspondents starring roles in the ongoing political drama, turning them into camera-ready warriors for the First Amendment. ;-)
In 2016, CNN made nearly $1 billion, which was the network’s most profitable year ever. They’re on track to beat that for 2017 ALREADY, and it’s only April. Zucker’s on a hiring spree. They’re getting some huge scoops. The list of good fortune goes on.
SO revenge? It’s backfired on Trump horrifically."

These assholes can step outside once they resign because that will be the only cure to this mess. They have committed treason and espionage and have colluded with the enemies of this country. Our Ancestors would not have taken any prisoners or excuses. The issue and mess would be over today. They are very lucky that we have a due process for them to explain their lack of ethics and honesty in a court of law under oath. The entire republican party should be forced to resign and removed from public service without benefits forever. They are disgusting LIARS and CROOKS.

    Passing this on; not mine:

and the Mike Pence “I don’t know anything” thing
and the Russians mysteriously dying thing
and Trump’s public request to Russia to hack Hillary’s email thing
and the Trump house sale for $100 million at the bottom of the housing bust to the Russian fertilizer king thing
and the Russian fertilizer king’s plane showing up in Concord, NC during Trump rally campaign thing
and the Nunes sudden flight to the White House in the night thing
and the Nunes personal investments in the Russian winery thing
    and the Cyprus bank thing
and Trump not releasing his tax returns thing
and the Republican Party’s rejection of an amendment to require Trump to show his taxes thing
    and the election hacking thing
and the GOP platform change to the Ukraine thing
    and the Steele Dossier thing
    and the Leninist Bannon thing
and the Sally Yates can’t testify thing
and the intelligence community’s investigative reports thing
and Trump’s reassurance that the Russian connection is all “fake news” thing
and Spicer’s Russian Dressing “nothing’s wrong” thing so there’s probably nothing there since the swamp has been drained, these people would never lie probably while Nunes cancels the investigation meetings all of this must be normal just a bunch of separate dots with no connection.

‘I see some bad press in his future’: Bannon ally hints damaging leaks are coming on Jared Kushner

...According to Swan’s sources, the Kushner faction believes that Bannon and his allies are “clinically nuts,” while Bannon’s team believes Kushner is trying to transform Trump into a moderate Republican “squish.”

Most interestingly, one of Bannon’s allies hints that Kushner will be the target of upcoming leaks that will damage his public reputation.

“Steve has developed strong and important relationships with some of the most powerful right leaning business leaders,” the Bannon ally told Swan. “I see some bad press in [Jared’s] future.”

Breitbart publishes multiple anti-Kushner stories in the wake of Steve Bannon’s NSC ouster

...Breitbart News typically hasn’t focused much on Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner — but that might be changing in the wake of ex-Breitbart boss Steve Bannon’s ouster from the National Security Council.

As Media Matters notes, Breitbart published four negative stories about Kushner on the same day that news broke that Bannon was out at the NSC.

Among other things, Breitbart published a story about Roger Stone slamming Kushner for allegedly leaking dirt on Bannon, as well as a snarky listicle outlining all of the responsibilities that Trump has given to “a 36-year-old real estate mogul” with “a thin resume in diplomacy.”

The four anti-Kushner stories published on Wednesday were the most Kushner-related stories that Breitbart has published all year, as the website in the past hasn’t written much about the president’s son-in-law.

This is noteworthy because one Bannon ally told Axios reporter Jonathan Swan that he believes Kushner will receive “some bad press” in the near future — and he hinted it could be in retaliation for Kushner’s campaign to get Bannon ousted from the NSC.

I cannot fathom how some people don't have the gratefulness "gene." I wish everyone could be the Palins. Truthfully. Such humble, tenacious people, treats everyone with more respect than people deserve. Takes no handouts. Handles slander with grace (though the protective one has some issues that he never had before)

When Bristol bravely got out of her bad relationship with Mr worthless 8 years ago (and his "white trash sister (his wifes words), she was very grateful to have amazing parents, a brother and two sisters to babysit her son while she supported him.

If he is so innocent then he should have no problem with them investigating him!!! It seemed like he ran off from that podium awfully fast.

I want to see if Representatives Trey Gowdy, is going to actual do some work or is this going to be another Benghazi hearing.

Also why is it taking THREE representatives to replace ONE guy, to stack the committee?

I can fathom how lovely people always have the "gratefulness" gene. I wish everyone could be like the Obamas. Truthfully. Such, humble, tenacious people who treat everyone with more respect than deplorables deserve. Takes no handouts having worked brilliantly in achieving academic accomplishments. Handles slander with grace and humor(though not having disturbed family members helps immensely in that arena.)
When Obama bravely endured a hopeless relationship with Congress for 8 years,(and the white trash governor had quit and Donnie illegitimate Trump practiced watching TV),the president boldly soldiered on and was grateful to be a true leader of the free world. He has an amazing and beautiful wife, Michelle, and they will be remembered as the greatest presidential team of this century.

I hate to have to follow you around and clean up after you, but there has to be a red line for responsible commenting. You really need to go back to journalism school.
Maybe that will help you understand lines if you can't catch on to content.

  16. This jockeying for power between Priebus, Bannon and Kushner just proves that Trump is the weakest president ever. If not, all of these players wouldn't be infighting to be the power behind the throne. Trump is to stupid to see what is happening and to incompetent to put a stop to it.
