Stick a fork in him, Bill O'Reilly is done.

I can see through your dress.
Courtesy of the New York Times:

Bill O’Reilly has been forced out of his position as a prime-time host on Fox News, the company said on Wednesday, after the disclosure of multiple settlements involving sexual harassment allegations against him. His ouster brings an abrupt and embarrassing end to his two-decade reign as one of the most popular and influential commentators in television.

“After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the company and Bill O’Reilly have agreed that Bill O’Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel,” 21st Century Fox, Fox News’s parent company, said in a statement.

Part of the reason for this decision appears to stem from the fact that yet another woman came forward to accuse him of sexual harassment:

Bill O'Reilly used to leer at an African-American Fox News clerical worker and called her "hot chocolate," according to attorney Lisa Bloom, who helped the woman report the harassment to the network's hotline.

The woman worked for a different broadcaster in 2008 while this was going on, but The O'Reilly Factor host's office was near her desk, the attorney claims.

"He would never talk to her, not even hello, except to grunt at her like a wild boar," Bloom tells The Hollywood Reporter. "He would leer at her. He would always do this when no one else was around and she was scared."

That was enough to get Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report to tweet this:
And that my friends is all she wrote.

Even the Pope apparently could not save Billo's career.

It's like the end of an era isn't it?

An era full of pompous bloviating, and the kind of flagrant assholery that we can now get directly from the White House.

I can hardly wait for Stephen Colbert's response to the news that Papa Bear has now gone into permanent hibernation.

    Justice served. Next.

    1. Anonymous1:20 PM

      Sarah "who"?

      Yeah. That one.

    2. Anonymous3:11 PM

If he were D he's create the o'reilly foundation.

  2. Anonymous11:01 AM

Now if we can get the fuckface Hannity out, we'll really be hitting it out of the park!

    1. Anonymous11:54 AM

Hannity, Trump and Limbaugh should be next!

  3. Anonymous11:04 AM

    Who hoo! Who's next?

  4. In what way did O'Reilly decide how his run ended?

    Spin from Drudge.

O'Reilly was kicked out because of his own behavior. Yes, behavior he was in control of, (one assumes). But he didn't choose to "retire." He's been booted while on "vacation."

I'm sure he'll come out with a statement about having reflected and more time with his family, blah, blah, blah. But we all know what's happening.

    He's been FIRED.

I'm sure his parachute will be as golden as that of Ailes.

Hardly justice but at least he's gone.

    1. Anonymous11:53 AM

He can still live the 'life of Riley' in O'Reilly retirement. Too bad the money can't be taken away from him instead of providing him even more!

  5. Anonymous11:11 AM

Until Lush Limpballs is out our airwaves are not safe.

  6. Anonymous11:16 AM

    Where to next? OANN?

  7. Thanks to all the h8trz and the blog running basement masturbators - another one bites the dust!!

    What's next?

  8. So right Gryphen. People like O'Reilly and Ailes were bush league. We've got a predator in the WH so pretenders for the title must go.

  9. Anonymous11:49 AM

Besides being a sexual predator how's that James Brown wig work in out for ya?

  10. Anonymous11:51 AM

Gone with him! Way past time!

He and Trump are two of a kind - arrogant, physically repulsive and abusive when it comes to women. Fuck both of them!

    1. Anonymous12:53 PM

      Ugly impotent lechers.

  11. Anonymous12:01 PM

Now that he's proven to have even better qualifications (sexual harassment-wise) than the current "president", I predict Billo the Clown will run for and be elected to the presidency in 2020. And you folks thought Trump was as low as we could go? LOL.

  12. Anonymous12:51 PM

Does that mean that his radio show is gone as well? If he still has one, that is.

  13. Anonymous12:52 PM

Palin's cult over at the pee pond was speculating that she might get BillyGoat's show slot. Bwah ha ha! Don't they realize she can't run in 2020 if she's 'starring' in her own Faux 'hit' show.

Bunch of gullible dunces til the bitter end over there.

    1. Anonymous1:26 PM

      Please proceed Governor...please proceed!

  14. Sharon1:14 PM

I think this is really funny, just another distraction for our news. Meanwhile back at the ranch the entire Trump family is using the WH as its personal cash cow. I don't understand how silent people are about that.

Millions literally wasted, the family should be paying for all this stuff, not us.Everyone should refuse to pay their taxes until we see his.

    1. Anonymous10:30 PM

"Everyone should refuse to pay their taxes until we see his."

That is not how it works snowflake. But by all means try your little plan, let us know how that pans out.

  15. Anonymous2:28 PM

Rush, Alex Jones and Hannity also need to be booted off the airways. Can you imagine the fresh air?

    'kiss of death'

...It is truly remarkable to think that the most successful host in cable news history, who just helped get his longshot “milkshake” buddy elected President of the United States, could be let go so ignominiously. This is especially bizarre coming just a couple of months after having interviewed President Donald Trump before the Super Bowl and having the President publicly support him in an interview with The New York Times — all with his show’s ratings as high as they have ever been.

But what makes all of this even more amazing is that the fall of O’Reilly is actually part of a very real trend among the most ardently pro-Trump “conservative” commentators from the 2016 campaign.

Look at what has happened just at Fox News. Despite having arguably their most lucrative year ever (if you don’t count lawsuit settlements and severance packages), Fox has gotten rid of Trump pals Roger Ailes, Greta Van Susteren, and now O’Reilly.

If you add in the loss of Megyn Kelly to NBC, this means that the only remaining prime-time host from the 2016 primaries is low-talent Trump sycophant Sean Hannity. This is basically the equivalent of the New England Patriots coming off of last year’s Super Bowl victory and beginning 2017 with Tim Tebow as their starting quarterback.

O’Reilly isn’t the only “conservative” commentator who President Trump has singled out for public praise, who soon suffered professional consequences. Trump tweeted support for Milo Yiannopoulos after violence erupted at a planned speaking engagement. Right after that he lost his book deal and his job with

Trump lavishly praised Fox pundit Judge Andrew Napolitano at a major presidential press conference for having reported a false story intended to support Trump’s lie about having been spied on during the campaign. Napolitano was then immediately suspended by Fox News.

This phenomenon extends even to those Trump cheerleaders who he hasn’t publicly supported as president. Head pom-pom girl Tomi Lahren has been taken off the air at The Blaze for being disingenuous about her positions, including a rather dramatic flip towards supporting Trump during the campaign. Pro-Trump conspiracy nut Alex Jones was just forced to apologize for his “PizzaGate” lie and to confess in court that his whole shtick is just “performance art.”

Of course, while it happened before Trump was elected, I would be remissif I didn’t at least mention what happened to Billy Bush. We must remember that the standards for being on a major TV outlet is now higher than for being president.

So, what is really going on here?

...But even though the trend may be coincidental, perception is usually reality. Consequently, Trump’s once golden touch is going to now be seen more as a kiss of death, at least within the “conservative” media. Some “conservatives” might at least think twice before selling out to him even more than they already have.

Activists Warn Fox News Advertisers That Bill O’Reilly’s Firing Was Just The Beginning

Activists are calling the firing of Bill O'Reilly what it really is, a victory over a serial sexual predator, but are warning that there is still a sexual harassment problem at Fox News that advertisers need to be wary of.

...In reaction to O’Reilly’s firing, Shaunna Thomas, co-founder of UltraViolet, said in a statement provided to PolliticusUSA:

Bill O’Reilly is a serial sexual predator, a bigot, and a misogynist. He will not be missed, and because 21st Century Fox fired Bill O’Reilly, the female employees at Fox News will be slightly safer.

But Fox News’ problem with sexual harassment and assault is way bigger than just Bill O’Reilly. For years, Fox News executives, like Bill Shine, have provided cover for systematic sexual harassment and abuse of Fox New’s employees. From Roger Ailes to Bill O’Reilly, Fox News has consistently failed to provide a workplace safe from sexual harassment and abuse – and that’s a big problem.

The fact that Fox News is only taking action against O’Reilly after an investigation revealed that they could be defrauding shareholder by not revealing payments made to cover up the abuse, isn’t lost on anyone. The first accusations of sexual assault lobbed against Bill O’Reilly at Fox News were made more than 13 years ago.”

Unless Fox News makes the results of the investigation public, and fires all those found guilty of, or complicit in, covering up sexual harassment – advertisers and the general public will continue to have cause for concern. With reports that dozens of additional women at the network have not yet come forward with allegations of sexual harassment, the next scandal for the network may just be months away.

Roger Ailes wasn’t the only problem at Fox News. Bill O’Reilly wasn’t the only problem at Fox News. Fox has a culture problem. The activists were correct. Until Fox News makes the investigation public and fires those who participated in or helped to cover up sexual harassment, this scandal is going to continue to eat away at the network like cancer.

MSNBC Must Capitalize On Bill O’Reilly’s Firing And Move Rachel Maddow To 8 PM

...O'Reilly will be replaced by Tucker Carlson, and Carlson's 9 PM time slot will be filled by The Five, which means that the door is wide open for MSNBC to move The Rachel Maddow Show to 8 PM where it will have the chance to be the top-rated show on cable news.

  20. Anonymous2:48 PM

Hey, Gryphen is it o'really true that O'Reilly is going to start driving a converted taco truck around the city and just yelling nonsense at people on crowded street corners at lunch time? If true, that seems like a pretty sweet gig for him. I bet he doesn't miss Fox at all. And certainly no one is going to miss him.

As O’Reilly Gets the Boot, New Accuser Professor Caroline Heldman Comes Forward

Now, yet another woman has come forward. Caroline Heldman, a professor at Occidental College, and guest on the O’Reilly Factor reportedly called the Fox News hotline on Wednesday to make her allegations official against the former network ratings star.

Being replaced by Fu - er - Tucker Carlson? How much will THAT cost his mother, I wonder? How does Constipated Sean Hannity feel about being bypassed for the little dweeb?
