The irony of Sarah Palin attacking college students as being dismissive of facts almost breathtaking.
But this is a real indication of what we are up against when dealing with Trump supporters.
For them up is down, black is white, and truth is whatever tumbles out of Trump's orange tinted maw.
How does one engage in reasonable discourse with people who deny the existence of facts and label everything that disagrees with their point of view as "fake news?"

I've decided that one can't engage in reasonable discourse with the rabid Trumpettes. After attempts at rational discussion and getting only regurgitated right win talking points or insults back, I had to block some relatives on my mom's side on FB and live far away from them so for all practical purposes they are dead to me. My mom is deceased so she doesn't have to be concerned about it. I had a "somewhat" cordial discussion with someone I don't know at a meeting in West Virginia a couple of weeks ago. I had to end it and walk away after awhile because she was so massively uninformed that I was about to lose my niceness. She did admit that there is nothing DJT can do to bring back coal jobs so that was something.

What's worse, many people believe they don't even have to be able to think clearly because the internet will do it for them. For many people, the internet has become one giant collective brain, and unfortunately it is a brain filled at least fifty percent with complete rubbish.
