Washington Post reporter who Donald Trump once called a "nasty guy" won a Pulitzer Prize yesterday.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Washington Post reporter David Fahrenthold, whom President Donald Trump called a “nasty guy” for doggedly investigating his dubious charity foundation claims, won the Pulitzer Prize on Monday for national reporting.

Fahrenthold not only pored over documents and called hundreds of organizations while reporting on the president’s charitable foundation during the 2016 campaign, but brought readers real-time social media updates and turned to them for additional tips.

In October, Fahrenthold also broke the news that Trump boasted about groping women in an unearthed “Access Hollywood” outtake.

We are seeing a real resurgence of quality journalism in response to Donald Trump, and I predict this is just the first of many prizes that journalists will be winning due to their investigations into Trump, his presidency, and his business dealings.

I bet this news is really burning his ass.

Kind of like when Katie Couric won that Walter Cronkite award for her interviews with Sarah Palin.

I'm sure the muppets will agree to go because they're muppets and they love children. I wonder if the third wife will attend or will it be up to the first daughter?

Gosh, Easter falls on a Sunday, little donnie will have to make a hard decision: waste another $3 million and go to FL to play golf or stay in DC and part take in a tradition.

Maybe the kids would like it better if he left town.

    3. Since Trump didn't attend the White House seder I doubt he'll be there for Easter either.

      He doesn't like children.

Maybe Spicey will put on his bunny suit?

Because even little kids' gut instincts tell them the fat old orange man is a Fake.
That's why he avoids kids whenever he can.

"Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will urge the Russian government to abandon its support for Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad."the meeting the G7 nations agreed that there could be no solution to the Syrian conflict with Assad still in power. “It is our policy for a unified Syria that is governed by the people of Syria,” Tillerson said following the meeting. “I think it is clear to all of us that the reign of the Assad family is coming to an end.”both Trump and May have expressed their hope Tillerson will be able to move toward forging "a solution which will deliver a lasting political settlement."

I had hoped that Kurt Eichenwald, of Newsweek, who did some excellent campaign reporting, would win the Pulitzer.

O/T I got a press release from the VA about a Medal of Honor recipient in Kentucky honoring Gold Star families in Lexington.

Oh, Dakota is doing something worthy???

NOPE. Not hardly. This guy 1) earned his MOH the honorable way and 2) is actually, quietly using his MOH fame to help veterans and their families by raising funds and building Gold Star Family memorials across the country.

He's a spunky old guy who is the last of the MOH recipients from the Battle of Iwo Jima.

    Way to go Woody Williams!

    http://www.blogs.va.gov/VAntage/36801/veterans-gold-star-families-in-kentucky-recognized-by-medal-of-honor-recipient/

The Gold Star Families Memorial Monuments initiative is spearheaded by a former VA employee and Medal of Honor recipient, Marine Veteran Hershel “Woody” Williams. Williams, the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from the Battle of Iwo Jima, is actively working to get monuments placed across the country.

“He is feisty, he is strong, and do not get in Woody Williams’ way,” Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes joked as she referred to Williams’ dedication to the project. “We are grateful for his persistence. We are grateful that he had the foresight to make sure that in every town, whether small or large, across this nation, we stand up and honor our heroes, those that give us the right to live in this free, democratic society.”

  7. Why do you let anonymous take over your blog? I read these other blogs and don't need you to push them. If you don't have anything to say, then you add the links. I am so tired of this person taking over.

Personally I don’t mind links to other sites, I choose to read the article I am interested in and I IGNORE the ones that don't.

Also it saves me the time of hunting for older articles.
