White Nationalist files counter suit against Donald Trump saying the candidate directed him to assault protesters.

Courtesy of Politico:

A white nationalist leader accused of assaulting a young African-American woman at a Donald Trump campaign rally filed a countersuit on Monday claiming the president directed him and other supporters to remove protesters.

Matthew Heimbach claims in his federal court filing that he “acted pursuant to the directives and requests of Donald J. Trump and Donald J. Trump for President” and that, if he’s found liable for damages, “any liability must be shifted to one or both of them.

”The legal fight stems from a March 2016 rally in Louisville, Kentucky, at which protesters were allegedly roughed up and ejected by Trump supporters after the then-candidate barked from the stage “get ’em out of here!”

I think it is perfectly reasonable to blame Trump for the violence at his rallies.

After all they blamed Hitler for the gas chambers didn't they?

By the way how delicious is it to see Trump getting sued by a white supremacist because he convinced the man to hurt black people?

(Here's some video of the event in question.)

He's just angry he is having to answer for doing what he wanted to do anyway. Trump definitely incited these 'supreme' cretins. It wasn't difficult. Trump voters and the RW base in general are (besides racists) just low IQ 'Fox-informed' non-thinkers. I hear some of them are worried about their health care. They don't understand it, Trump was supposed to help them. Lol.

Trump Just Doomed Republicans By Vowing Never To Give Up On Killing People By Repealing Obamacare

During a press conference today, President Trump vowed to never give up on his plan to take away health care from millions of people, which will kill 43,000 Americans per year.

“I watched in horror and disbelief as Christians I love and respect supported a man full of greed, hate, arrogance and prejudice in the name of Jesus Christ,” she writes. “I became disgusted to the point of physical illness when Christians passed off jokes about sexually assaulting women as ‘loose lips’ and ‘locker room talk.’ And then there were those who said nothing — an offense more destructive than any other.”

Hewins concludes her story by saying that her goal is to find a new church that views Christian faith as a way of life — not a weapon to be used in political warfare.

“I’m turning a new page in my book,” she says. “I’m setting out to find a community that seeks to be like Jesus. I’m done living out my faith like I’m a member of an army that’s fighting for converts and voting Republican every election because ‘Democrat’ is a bad word.”

Yes, the Jason Chaffetz bombshell is coming

This was a panic move, because Chaffetz knows what’s coming

When Jason Chaffetz announced yesterday that he won’t be seeking reelection in 2018 and won’t be running for any office, some pundits posited that he’s merely looking to avoid losing in the anti-Trump landslide expected in the midterms. But that doesn’t even make sense. No, this is all about a Chaffetz scandal that’s about to hit the fan.

Last week Palmer Report brought you the story the intel community sources who claim the FBI has learned that Russia has been holding blackmail material over Jason Chaffetz, in order to make sure the House Oversight Committee that he chairs will never investigate Donald Trump’s Russian election collusion scandal (link). Chaffetz’s announcement yesterday fits in line with this. The Republican Party does not need twenty months to find a suitable replacement in a district that red. So if he were merely afraid of losing reelection in 2018, he’d have waited awhile before making this announcement to see if the overall political winds might change direction in the mean time.

The only reason for Jason Chaffetz to announce this early that he’s not running again is if he’s sitting on a scandal that he knows is about to explode.

Just another Republican that will be brought down and run out of D.C.! This is a hoot to watch!

The GOP’s health care talks are stuck in a vicious cycle

I’m not sure how to tell you this, but Trumpcare is back.

...The bill seems stuck in a vicious cycle as lawmakers try to appease both extremes of the GOP.

Think of it as the Obamacare ouroboros. (That's the snake that eats its own tail, symbolizing eternity.)

Every new policy idea to satisfy the conservatives creates a new problem for the moderates, which leads to a new policy to satisfy them. Round and round again.

The latest tweak illustrates it perfectly:

    Sinclair Lewis Predicted Trump—And Us

In his 1935 novel, It Can’t Happen Here, the Nobel prize winning author created a demagogue remarkably similar to Trump. He also nailed America’s love affair with demagogues.

...No, this is not a description of 2016, and the candidate is not Donald Trump—although you can be excused for thinking so. This is, instead, a character named Berzelius Windrip in Nobel Prize-winning author Sinclair Lewis’s 1935 novel, It Can’t Happen Here, a cautionary tale about how fascism comes to America. Although published over 80 years ago, Lewis’s novel seems especially relevant in the age of Trump. So relevant, in fact, that it recently became Amazon’s number one bestseller in the Classic American Literature category.

Poll: Trump’s First-Quarter Ratings Lowest For A President Since WWII

His first months in office have been unprecedented — but “likely not in the way he or his supporters hoped.”

President Donald Trump received substantially worse ratings for his first months in office than any president dating back to World War II, according to Gallup.

Even presidents who’ve gone on to be unpopular generally enjoyed high ratings during their first months in office. But Trump’s average rating since Inauguration Day is just 41 percent, Gallup finds, making him the only president in their polling history to fall short of majority approval during his first quarter.

Former President Bill Clinton, the next-lowest ranked, had an average approval rating of 55 percent for that time period, while former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush enjoyed first quarter ratings of 63 percent and 58 percent, respectively.

No one knows what the heck is going on. Chaffetz used the tried and true "desire to spend more time with his family in Utah and return to the private sector" excuse that is most often cited.

The most odd part - there are 19 months left before the midterms. To run out the door so soon speaks to something possibly more sinister. Is he compromised in some way? Do the Russians have kompromat on him? No one knows for sure...but the timing sure is suspicious.

Sessions Recorded Making Ridiculous Comments About Hawaiian Judge Against Trump

This nation’s top law enforcement officer is, evidently, quite ignorant of the law.

Speaking to conservative political commentator Mark Levin this week, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions expressed shock that a Hawaii federal judge has the authority to overturn a presidential executive order, even though that’s literally the way it works. It’s called checks and balances, Jeff.

Trump inauguration took $1 million from Russian businessman whose money the RNC rejected in 2000

President Donald Trump’s inauguration accepted a big donation from a Russian-American businessman whose ties to Russian state-owned companies forced the Republican National Committee to return a $250,000 check he sent them in 2000.

In a Wall Street Journal report on the big donors who paid for Trump’s inauguration, the publication notes that Trump’s inauguration fund received $1 million from Alexander Shustorovich, a businessman who has drawn controversy over his relationships with Russian government officials and state-owned businesses.

In fact, the Journal notes that Shustorovich’s ties to Russian oligarchs “prompted the U.S. to refuse to allow him to be part of a uranium deal two decades ago, on national-security grounds” and also “led the Republican National Committee to return a $250,000 check from him in 2000.”

BUSTED: Leaked docs show GOP is selling monthly meetings with House leadership staff for $5,000

Congressional Republicans are baldly enticing donors with the promise of meetings with senior legislative staff, effectively placing access to congressional employees up for sale to professional influence peddlers and other well-heeled interests.

Documents obtained by The Intercept and the Center for Media and Democracy show that the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the National Republican Congressional Committee are both telling donors that in exchange for campaign contributions, they will receive invitations to special events to meet with congressional staff including chiefs of staff, leadership staffers, and committee staffers.

While selling donors access to senators and representatives and their campaign staff is nothing new, the open effort to sell access to their legislative staff — the taxpayer-funded government employees who work behind the scenes to write legislation, handle investigations, and organize committee hearings — appears to be in violation of ethics rules that prohibit campaigns from using House and Senate resources in any way.

Congressional ethics rules flatly forbid Capitol Hill employees from engaging in fundraising activities as part of their official duties. Any explicit fundraising work must be done strictly as a volunteer, and there must be a clear firewall separating government work from campaign work.

It’s arguably the last fig leaf left when it comes to giving the appearance that campaign contributions are not directly linked to official acts.

“You can’t use resources that are paid for by the taxpayer to service campaign donors. That’s blatantly illegal,” said Caroline Fredrickson, the former chief of staff to Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash.

Voter perceptions of Trump’s tenure don’t necessarily reflect that rosy assessment. Asked to grade Trump’s first three months as president overall, 16 percent give Trump an “A,” and another 23 percent award Trump a “B.”

But roughly as many voters give Trump poor marks. Trump gets a “D” from 13 percent of voters, and nearly a quarter, 24 percent, give him an “F.”

  20. Trump said he would pay all of the court costs for anyone that was sued for assaulting and evicting anyone he directed be removed. "Get him out of here" certainly qualifies as a direction.

    Trump's own words.

He can deny all he wants but it is recorded for posterity.

The Nazi is absolutely correct; he was directed and acted on those orders and Trump promised to pay.

It will be difficult to deny that Trump's incendiary language incites violence. It's clearly "hate speech."
