By an eight point margin Americans wish they could have Hillary Clinton in the White House instead of Trump.

Oh, so NOW you want me to be your President.
Courtesy of PPP:

Voters are both having buyer's remorse about the outcome of the 2016 election and wishing they could return to the good old days of 4 months ago. By an 8 point margin, 49/41, they say they wish Hillary Clinton was President instead of Trump. And by a 16 point margin, 55/39, they say they wish Barack Obama was still in office instead of Trump.

One thing hurting Trump is that Americans expect honesty from their President and his aides, and they feel like they're not getting it. Last week Trump tweeted that it was unreasonable to expect his press staff to always tell the truth, but 77% of voters say they do expect the President's Press Secretaries to tell the truth all the time compared to only 14% who say that isn't that expectation. Only 38% of voters say they consider Trump to be honest, to 55% who say they don't think he is. And a majority of voters (51%) outright say they consider Trump to be a liar to 41% who say they disagree with that characterization.

"Lying Hilary." Isn't that how Trump characterized his opponent during the election?

His audiences also chanted "Lock her up." And here today we are seeing an investigation which puts Trump's incarceration well within the realm of possibilities.

Gee if only the American voters had seen any evidence of who Trump would be as president during the campaign.

Sorry, got a little worked up there.

US first lady ignores Trump criticism and shuns headscarf
    The Associated Pres

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) Ignoring President Donald Trump's past admonition, U.S. first lady Melania Trump did not cover her head Saturday when they arrived in Saudia Arabia on the opening leg of his first international tour since taking office.

Two years ago, then-citizen Trump criticized then-first lady Michelle Obama's decision to go bare-headed on a January 2015 visit with her husband.

"Many people are saying it was wonderful that Mrs. Obama refused to wear a scarf in Saudi Arabia, but they were insulted. We have enuf enemies," Trump tweeted at the time, including a short-hand spelling for "enough."

.... Trump's daughter, Ivanka, a senior White House adviser who is also accompanying her father, also left her head uncovered.

Fuck Zakaria. He forever lost my respect when he fawned all over Trump with his 'just became President' shit when he dropped bombs in Syria.

    3. Anonymous8:52 AM

@ 7:24 I agree, trump has lowered the standard so far, that warning the enemy ahead of time and dropping bombs on out-dated aircraft, empty buildings and missing the runway on purpose has become presidential.

Which, by the way lasted about 15 secs.

If it's only 8 points that, in itself, is tragic.

US surveillance recorded Russian agents vowing to "get" Hillary Clinton

U.S. spies reportedly heard a Russian military intelligence officer bragging about his organization planning to target Hillary Clinton in May 2016.
The officer told a colleague that GRU would cause havoc in America’s presidential election, Time reported Thursday.

This here is the decision point, this is where Russia was discovered — before the first release of DNC emails via DCLeaks in June 2016 — to have already been working on undermining Hillary Clinton’s presidential aspirations.

The real question is whether anyone in the Trump campaign was aware of this help they were about to receive, and how much they were willing to help the Russians in exchange.
In law enforcement there is a concept known as “consciousness of guilt.” It’s where someone over protests their innocence, overreacts to what should be a harmless question, or tried to repeatedly hide something that shouldn’t, on it’s own, be a suspicious act. And then you have the Trump campaign who repeatedly lied about having 18 phone, face to face and electronic contacts with Russian officials.....

But contacts did take place, a lot of contacts. If there was no ill intent to any of these contacts, if they were just “business as usual”, if all of this wasn’t a great big bag of “thank you” to Russian for what they did to Hillary Clinton’s campaign — why all the specific lies about it all?

    1. Anonymous8:04 AM

Maybe they need to re-visit the time period of Ivanka's vacation with putin's girlfriend in Aug 2016 and see what the spies were saying.

    2. Anonymous9:29 AM

"That news stands in contrast to what Trump transition team chair-turned-Vice President Mike Pence said in January,"Reuters, citing current and former U.S. officials familiar with the communications, reports that the “previously undisclosed interactions form part of the record now being reviewed by FBI and congressional investigators probing Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election and contacts between Trump’s campaign and Russia.”
ccording to Reuters, during the transition period, Flynn and Kislyak discussed “establishing a back channel for communication between Trump and [Putin] that could bypass the U.S. national security bureaucracy, which both sides considered hostile to improved relations.”continue to show there was a consciousness of guilt as they continually avoided telling the TRUTH."

Gee if only the American voters had seen any evidence of who Trump would be as president during the campaign.
His supporters don’t care, they bought the “jobs” and “America first” crap hook line and sinker. Their hatred for Obama and Hillary were also a factor and he gave/gives them the chance to vocalize their hatred at his rallies.

They will never change their minds even though he has done absolutely nothing about creating jobs and has only taken credit for jobs creation that he had no hand in.

It also appears that the majority of his supporters are unpatriotic because they see no problem with russia getting trump elected!!!

    1. Anonymous8:48 AM

"Russia is our friend! Russia is our friend! Russia is our friend!...." Heard at a nighttime torchlit rally in support of Trump (somewhere in the South recently).

In other words, 'Oceania is at war with Eurasia. Oceania has *always* been at war with Eurasia.'

    2. Anonymous9:09 AM

In keeping with your first paragraph, there is an inherent rudeness in this country that dRumpf gives voice to. Remember "she's
JUST like me!" Palin followers? They don't realize that's it's not an attribute, especially to admit as much.

    3. Anonymous10:17 AM

There are no jobs to bring back from "overseas, thir world countries), not unless we want $3 per day jobs with no benefits or safety regs.

"Good" (paying) jobs have largely been automated. No company is going to "bring back" labor intensive jobs (the majority of jobs lost to automation and computers). How can anyone be too stupid to see this?

    4. Anonymous10:50 AM

10:17 AM - of course they're not, and the willfully ignorant are too blind to see it.

    5. Aaron Sorkin said in "The American President" that the office is *ALL* about character.

We knew Trump's character from the start. And the stupid, ignorant, greedy and shitforbrains voted for him anyway.

Now we all have to suffer.

The only shining light is if enough Democrats, Independents, Non-Partisans and those with an ounce of integrity ALL turn out for the mid-terms and vote every Republican out of office. If the voters can't be bothered to do that, then they deserve what they get.

This administration is what laziness gets you.

OVERHEARD: CBS had a camera set up that caught a conversation between King Salman and President Trump, per pooler Jerome Cartillier, of AFP. King Salman to Trump: “Syria too used to be one of the most advanced countries. We used to get our professors from Syria. They served our kingdom. Unfortunately, they too brought destruction to their own country. You could destroy a country in mere seconds, but it takes a lot of effort.”

I forget, what was the margin of her win on Election Day?

    1. Anonymous5:12 PM

It is always about him: HE doesn’t gain anything, to hell with the people!!!
Trump tells advisers he wants to end key Obamacare subsidies

.... Trump told aides in a Tuesday Oval Office meeting that he wants to end the payments to insurers because he doesn't gain anything by continuing them, according to a senior White House adviser. "Why the hell would we?" he asked about continuing the payments, according to the adviser.

    1. Anonymous8:56 AM

If Trump completely screws up The Affordable Care Act, he WILL go down!

What a fucking jerk! He could care less about Americans - especially those he sees as 'beneath' him - meaning the poor, middle class and minorities!

    2. He's already stated he intends to undermine the ACA but cutting off all funding and support.

That's right out of the Republican playbook. If they can't do it through the front they starve it through the budget.

It's how they undermined public education.

  21. Anonymous10:07 AM

Right - remember how the fucking ReTHUGS and peepond lamebrains piled on Canadidate/President Obama for slight misspeaks such as the "We've been to all 50, [forty]-seven states" outdoor speech? Obama, clearly a bit tired after a lot of campaigning, is about to say, "we've been to all 50 states." Off acmera, you can see he glances at an aide, who corrects him, "no, they won't go to all 50 sataes they've been to 47 though." The wind makes the "forty," a correction made in seconds, unclear and almost inaudible. The peeponders et al castigate him, claiming something erroneuos that he was talking about Islamic states (which 57 has no correlation to.) And they kept that type of bullshit up for years, about such a minor gaff, while, oh, just don't expect us to get important stuff right.

There will be another circle of hell created for these T.Rump defenders.

  22. It's not like Trump won majority of votes. It's just that he won enough in 4 states to win the election

    1. Anonymous5:09 PM

Actually he won enough votes in 31 of the states to win the election. If it was only four he would not have won, but he took 31 of the 50 states.

  23. The American public was warned about buyer's remorse after the Brexit vote and before the election. They chose to ignore it. Now they're paying for it.

Sorry, but the Constitution has no "do over" clause and no, the people cannot vote no confidence and recall the president. The only option is impeachment and even if that can be proved, Congress has to do it. The House initiates it and who did the American People put in charge of both the House and the Senate? That's right. Republicans.

So suck it up. You got what you voted for, plus you foisted your stupidity, ignorance and short sightedness on the rest of us. Now we ALL must suffer for your dipshittedness.

    Suck to be you.

I have a pension, health insurance and will not lose my house. I also have a governor with a spine and balls who will tell Trump where to stick his executive orders. They'll be tied up in court until we get someone SANE in the White House. And I'm not talking Pence or even Ryan.
