Donald Trump defends sharing classified information with Russia, and now we know where he got that information.

So Erdogan you wanna hear some classified information? I know some. And I can share it cause I'm the president.
Courtesy of the New York Times:

A day after his advisers disputed a news article about the conversation, the president focused instead on justifying what he did and blaming those who disclosed it. In a series of early-morning posts on Twitter, he said he had the “absolute right” to give “facts pertaining to terrorism and airline flight safety” to Russia’s foreign minister and ambassador.

Asked about the conversation by reporters during a later appearance with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, Mr. Trump again did not deny providing the information, but he instead cast it as an attempt to collaborate with Russia in the war against the Islamic State. “We’re going to have a lot of great success over the coming years, and we want to get as many to fight terrorism as possible,” he said.

I don't see how he is going to "have a lot of success over the coming years" after he is removed from office.

In other news, also by the New York Times, we now know where that information that Trump spilled to those two Russian spies originated:

The classified intelligence that President Trump disclosed in a meeting last week with Russian officials at the White House was provided by Israel, according to a current and a former American official familiar with how the United States obtained the information. The revelation adds a potential diplomatic complication to the episode.

Israel is one of the United States’ most important allies and a major intelligence collector in the Middle East. The revelation that Mr. Trump boasted about some of Israel’s most sensitive information to the Russians could damage the relationship between the two countries. It also raises the possibility that the information could be passed to Iran, Russia’s close ally and Israel’s main threat in the Middle East.

Currently Israel is refusing to confirm or deny that they were the source of the classified data, which of course is more or less an admission that they were.

This is especially bad news as Israel is one of America's closest allies in dealing with turmoil in the Middle East.

But hey here is national security adviser, Gen. H. R. McMaster, to explain why none of this is Trump's fault.
Yeah how can the president be expected to keep classified information secret, if he does not even KNOW who provided that classified information?

I mean come on, what is he a mind reader?

Oh god, we are so fucked!

CNN is also reporting that Drumpf pressured James Comey to end the investigation into Mike Flynn. This stuff is beginning to snowball and finally I am getting hopeful that we're seeing the end days of this nightmare of a presidency.

Something I do not understand.. if this was top secret info that Trump says he has every right to declassify and tell the Russian officials, did he also think it was a good thing to do this in a meeting that was only attended by RUSSIAN photographers?? How does Trump know these Russian photographer weren't spies? Trump evidently told the classified information in an "off the cuff" manner. Did Tillerson and McMaster know ahead of time Trump was going to impart this information? I'm stunned AGAIN today!

There is NO WAY that codeword intelligence information is to be declassified and distributed to an enemy nation state in an "off the cuff" sort of way.

I made a career as an intelligence officer in the US Army and I am sickened by Donald Trump. This should lead to his prosecution and impeachment for all of his crimes, misdemeanors, lies, and serious, serious lapses in judgement.

He is UNFIT to serve as the leader of our country and the world. He and his administration "good ol' boys/girls" need to go!

Comey Wrote Memo Saying Trump Urged Him to Drop Flynn Investigation: Sources

Fired FBI Director James Comey wrote a internal memo in which he said that President Donald Trump asked him to shut down an investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, a source close to Comey told NBC News on Tuesday.

The memo was part of a paper trail Comey built documenting what he believed to be Trump's campaign to derail the FBI's investigation of alleged Russian ties to his presidential campaign,

A second source, a former federal law enforcement official, also confirmed the existence of the memo to NBC News.

The unclassified memo was first reported by The New York Times.

Manafort Got $3.5M Mystery Mortgage, Paid No Tax

Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort took out a $3.5 million mortgage through a shell company just after leaving the campaign, but the mortgage document that explains how he would pay it back was never filed — and Manafort's company never paid $36,000 in taxes that would be due on the loan.

In addition, despite telling NBC News previously that all his real estate transactions are transparent and include his name and signature, Manafort's name and signature do not appear on any of the loan documents that are publicly available. A Manafort spokesperson said the $3.5 million loan was repaid in December, but also said paperwork showing the repayment was not filed until he was asked about the loan by NBC News.

News of the missing documents comes as New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is taking a "preliminary look" at Manafort's real estate transactions, according to a source familiar with the matter.

On August 19, 2016, Manafort left the Trump campaign amid media reports about his previous work for a pro-Russian political party in Ukraine, including allegations he received millions of dollars in payments...

If the intel came from Israel it's likely to have been from a plant inside ISIS in one specific town, where it would be simple for ISIS to identify and execute him. Unpresidented Agent Orange, with his limited capacity for rational thought, doesn't even understand such a simple concept.

America will indeed be less safe because other countries now have no choice but to withhold sensitive critical intelligence from Agent Orange- there are a dozen ways he could misuse it, not just blurting it out to a hostile foreign power.

David Reiss, a professor at Brooklyn Law School who specializes in real estate law, said, "It would be totally ill-advised to not record the loan on the property that is being secured. … Recording the mortgage on the property protects the lender."

Without it, there's no public record that the borrower owes money....

The mortgage notice would also show the mortgage tax has been paid. A party who does not file a mortgage notice but does pay tax would have to file a separate affidavit, which would be in the county's property file. Suffolk County records do not show that the tax was paid....

Following advice, potential FBI chiefs steer clear of job under Trump

The Trump administration's search for a new FBI director hit roadblocks on Tuesday when two high-profile potential candidates, a moderate judge and a conservative senator, signaled they did not want the job.

Advisers to Judge Merrick Garland and U.S. Senator John Cornyn of Texas told Reuters they discouraged them from leading the Federal Bureau of Investigation, cautioning that they would be leaving important, secure jobs for one fraught with politics and controversy.

The advisers, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the new FBI director would have little job security and heightened scrutiny by political observers following President Donald Trump's abrupt firing of James Comey on May 9.

Garland and Cornyn distancing themselves from the selection process just three days before Trump has said he may make a decision, points to the difficulties the White House has in filling the FBI post amid turmoil in the administration.

Trump's firing of Comey, the man in charge of an investigation into possible collusion between 2016 election campaign associates and the Russian government, outraged many lawmakers, including some Republicans.

Garland, the chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, "loves his job and is not interested in leaving the judiciary," said one source familiar with the judge's thinking....

A second Garland acquaintance who spoke on the condition of anonymity said Garland sought advice from those who told him he would be leaving his life-long position on the federal bench to take a job that could be terminated by Trump overnight.

A Republican Senate aide said Cornyn's staff also worried that the third-term Texas Senator could cut his- and their own- careers short by going to the FBI.

An adviser to another candidate on the White House short-list, former New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, 75, said Kelly is also being persuaded to step out of the running....

Trump’s habits of contradicting his top aides, demanding personal loyalty and punishing officials who contradict him in public has discouraged a number of experienced people from pursuing jobs, said three people who declined to discuss possible positions with administration officials.

"It’s becoming increasingly difficult to attract good people to work in this administration," said one senior official. "In other cases, veteran people with expertise are leaving or seeking posts overseas and away from this White House."....

REVEALED: Trump made Sessions and Pence leave room before asking Comey to drop Flynn investigation

According to CNN’s Jake Tapper, a source revealed President Donald Trump was in a meeting with former FBI director James Comey Feb. 14 when he asked Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Vice President Mike Pence to leave the room. It was at that time, Trump asked Comey to “let go” of the investigation into retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.
“I hope you can see your way to letting this guy – to letting Flynn go,” the source told Tapper Trump said. “He’s a good guy I hope you can let this go.”

Tapper went on to say that Comey told the source he was grateful hearing the news that Trump may have recorded their conversations because a recording would corroborate Comey’s story that Trump asked him to drop the investigation. The request was such an “uncomfortable” one that it prompted Comey to begin writing the memos after speaking with Trump to ensure there was a written recording of what was discussed.

“There are a great many memos,” the source told Tapper.

‘Small circle’ of Justice Department officials were aware of Comey’s memos on Trump meetings: report

According to the Post‘s sources, “details of Comey’s notes were shared with a very small circle of people at the FBI and Justice Department”.

MSNBC justice and security analyst Matthew Miller aired concerns on Twitter about the possibility that the memos had reached Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein — the two officials whose letters to President Trump about Comey were used as initial justifications for the former FBI director’s termination....
