CNN anchor calls Fox and Friends "State TV." Which of course it is.

Courtesy of The Hill:

CNN anchor John King blasted Fox News's morning show as "state TV" on Friday as he accused Fox's Ainsley Earhardt of throwing President Trump softball questions in a new interview.

King made the comment after airing a clip of the interview from "Fox and Friends" where Trump explained his recent declaration that he had no tapes of his conversations with former FBI Director James Comey. Trump implied on Twitter weeks ago that he could have recorded Comey.

As Trump answered, Earhardt added that she believed Trump's tactic was a "smart way to make sure [Comey] stayed honest in his hearings."

"Let's set aside the tough, probing questions on state TV there," King said Friday on CNN's "Inside Politics" to chuckles from the panel.

This somewhat offhand comment is of course factually accurate, as Trump constantly fires off tweets based on what he sees on Fox and Friends, while in return they kiss his ass so hard it leaves bright orange lip shaped bruises.

However the problem is that it is coming from CNN. And Trump supporters think that CNN is the epicenter of "fake news."

They have been conditioned to believe that any news they do not want to hear is "fake," and anything that backs up their racism, superstition, or distrust of "the other" is of course true.

And don't think that Fox News is the only source of Trump propaganda TV either.

I woke up this morning to Hugh Hewitt, a man that Salon labeled "Sean Hannity in glasses," pretending to interview CIA Director Mike Pompeo with such delicately phrased questions that I was surprised he was not gently cradling his scrotum while asking them.

And this was on MSNBC.

Donald Trump is right about one thing, there is an awful lot of fake news out there.

And it is spreading even to places where we thought we were safe from hearing it.

There is more and more control of the media by the Republicans (big businesses) and Trump. Don't kid yourself. Trump has made it known time and time again that he thinks the media to be full of 'fake news'.

If you've watched certain channels throughout the years, that have leaned more left, you see them now moving to the right!

Everyone appears to be building 'up' Trump to make him appear as a 'normal' (?) human and very few are still calling him a liar and fraud.

Rachel Maddow (factual reporting - no wonder her ratings are so high!) and Lawrence O'Donnell (MSNBC) are the main two that are still anti Trump and reporting factual information as to Trump's history and his doings of today and more recent times.

Trump will take our country down (third world country) and is already in the midst of doing so. I detest the man! He is not representative of me nor the majority of Americans. I didn't vote for him and sincerely hope he does not run for a second term! He needs to be impeached!

Agree as to Keith Olbermann - another anti-Trump person! So wish he had his own show on MSNBC. I recall the days when he and Rachel Maddow were buddies.

That was Hugh Hewitt-and we get the same from NBC's Megyn "isn't my bed hair attractive" Kelly, Greta. and the rest of the Fox castoffs now pretending they found their souls on NBC and MSNBC. I refuse to watch them, or Chuck Toad either. My sister told my mom that she doesn't believe anything Stephen Hawking says because "He doesn't believe in God." So there you ahem it-SAY you believe in God (like Trump) and they are all in no matter what lies you tell or how many wives you have to women and workers you screw.

I cannot abide Greta and think she lies w/every statement. She's playing the MSNBC type now and it isn't coming across well. Her ratings are not high and she's actually running ads about her show on MSNBC in the effort of increasing her viewership.

Turn her off folks - she's still the FOX type, just not as attractive as their folks - even though she's had plastic surgery on her face. Didn't help, Greta!!

ALASKA WHERE IS MASTA SARAH PALIN?

SARAH PALIN CLAIMS TO BE A CHRISTIAN.

    SARAH PALIN where are you?

SARAH PALIN in 2009 you were worried about the Democratic Death Panels and whether Americans—such as your elderly parents or children with Down syndrome—were "worthy of medical care".

SARAH PALIN in 2017 are your parents and children not worthy of your concerns regarding President Trump and the Republican Party Death Panels?

"Death panel" is a political term that originated during the 2009 debate about federal health care legislation to cover the uninsured in the United States.

SARAH PALIN, former Republican Governor of Alaska, coined the term when she charged that proposed legislation would create a "death panel" of bureaucrats who would decide whether Americans—such as her elderly parents or children with Down syndrome—were "worthy of medical care".

SARAH PALIN PLEASE SPEAK UP AND HELP US, YOUR PARENTS, CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN FROM THE 2017 DEATH PANELS

Is it true that during the Fox News' "showtime in the White House," the third wife conducted a tour of White House rooms in the manner of Jackie Kennedy back in the 1960's? If so, I'm sure glad that I missed it. (not that I ever watch Fox News.) I find the thought that the third wife has finally taken up residence in the White House almost obscene.

  11. Cable news may not be fake news but it is crap news.

I don't miss cable at all.

I do miss the real newsmen and journalists.

Of course, I grew up with Cronkite; I was young but I knew who he was. I watched the moon landing and the Vietnam war unfold on TV. Huntley and Brinkley. Dan Rather.

Journalism used to be a respected and honorable profession with the greatest integrity.

Then we got Geraldo Rivera and Fox News.

Sorry but do we really need 24 hour news on cable? Do they really cover more stories and in depth? Or do they just regurgitate the same crap 12 times a day and then replay it all night? Are we getting more news? No. Are we getting better information? No. We are getting a lot of talking heads blathering their opinions like it's carved on stone tablets.

It is this that has created Sean Spicer and Kellyanus Conjob.

Steve Bannon would never have survived in the world of real journalism.

The networks got greedy and bowed to ratings and political correctness. (How many times have you heard any of them call Trump a LIAR? Use the word LIE when confronting Conjob?) And the public got lazy and just let them get away with it instead of holding them accountable.

We got the president we deserved for being lazy and complacent. All of the information was there and the stupid and gullible voted for the conman and against their own interests. We let the Republicans take over at the local and state level and now they own the Federal government too. We allowed the gerrymandering. We didn't fight the voter suppression. WE DON'T VOTE!

Yes. We got the president we deserved instead of the president we needed.

    Shame on us.
