- Catastrophic for the United States. Check.
- Catastrophic for our position in the world. Check.
- Emboldens our enemies and adversaries. Check.
- Allies terrified we will not be their allies anymore. Check.
- Trump provokes constitutional crisis. Almost a check.
- Attempts to impeach Trump. Also moving toward a check.
- No longer leading the world. Double check.
Actually there were a lot of us who saw this coming, but perhaps not with quite the same clarity that Engel was able to summon on election night.
The sad part is that there are millions who even STILL cannot see what Richard Engel saw so clearly on November 8th.
They aren't going to see it either, until it hits them squarely where it hurts. Their wallet. It's coming.....

"Trump’s ability to roll out his personal brand is a distraction tactic."“That is the story of his business. He has always understood that he could distract his investors and bankers, his tenants, his clients from the underlying unsoundness of his business, just by putting on the Trump show. That is the core of Trump. He is undoubtedly an idiot, but do not underestimate how good he is at that.” has “surrounded himself with some of the world’s most expert crisis profiteers,” including billionaire and “king of bankruptcy” Wilbur Ross, who made his fortune flipping companies in crisis and now serves as secretary of commerce.

As long as he keeps telling them that the brown people are coming to take their jobs and rape and pillage their towns, and only he can protect them, they will support him.
ReplyDeleteSad!! I agree 1000 %
DeleteThe majority of people that voted for him heard, the immigrants and brown people where the reason they couldnt pull themselves up by their own bootstaps
DeleteSaw a news segment about the small island community near Washington DC - they are losing their is land to the sea (climate change) and begging Trump to help them - (he never will) - and can't understand why trump hasn't done something - 85% of them voted for him !!!! they admitted they don't care about his other policies (so obviously don't care the damage that will cause others) - I was furious - how dare these people ask for help (and "MY" tax dollars) when all they cared about when voting for trump was themselves - I kept saving SINK FASTER you idiots. They are so typical of trump voters - selfish at the core and scared of imaginary threats - and shocked the fat rich guy in the white house cares nothing for them when they have a problem.

Wingnuts knew this would happen and didn't care enough to do a damn thing about it. They hold the reins to gubmint which is what they wanted above loyalty to America.
