Spicey's out!

Courtesy of US News:

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer will step back from giving reporters the daily press briefing and is searching for his replacement at the podium.

"We have sought input from many people as we look to expand our communications operation. As he did in the beginning, Sean Spicer is managing both the communications and press office," White House officials said in a statement Monday.

Spicer will continue to fill the duties of the communications director – a post that has been empty since the end of May after the resignation of Mike Dubke.

This is almost anti-climatic after so many weeks of talk that Spicer was about to get the old heave ho.

Apparently they have reached out to Right Wing talk radio host and Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham who clearly has the soulless eyes and lack of conscience to do the job.

However I doubt even she can keep up with the constant avalanche of lies that pours from this administration, or the bosses Twitter tantrums.

My prediction is that whoever gets the job will almost immediately regret taking it and may not last terribly long on the front firing line.

I will also have fond memories of Sean Spicer's tenure at the podium.

In fact here is perhaps my favorite White House press conference of his.

(Okay I am being told that this is a clip of Melissa McCarthy doing an SNL skit, and NOT Sean Spicer. Still my favorite though.)

Can't someone explain to Paul Ryan that the very richest Americans already have enough money? They really don't need any more. And, if a large number of Americans lose their health care and whatever safety net benefits they have, there will be no people around to wait on the rich people or clean their houses or tend their pools or gardens. In the end, the multimillionaires and billionaires will have to get their hands dirty and do their own work. The rest of us will all be dead.

Finally an opening for Sarah Palin!!

She would fit right in with her FAKE degree in journalism, her ability to lie and of course her drunken word salad, which wouldn’t matter, since the WH intent isn’t to inform the public.

Going to miss Spicy boy, either Melanomia got her wish or he is close to a nervous breakdown and needed a rest. Guess it is back the bunny costume.

Steve Bannon On White House Cutting Down On Press Briefings: ‘Sean Got Fatter’

The Trump administration can’t seem to defend its press access restrictions or why it’s holding fewer briefings with Sean Spicer.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/sean-spicer-white-house-press-briefings_us_594915bee4b07499199e7a40?ncid=inblnkushpmg00000009

“Make no mistake about what we are all witnessing,” CNN’s Jim Acosta wrote on Twitter Monday, after a press briefing in which audiovisual recording devices of any kind were barred. “This is a WH that is stonewalling the news media. Hiding behind no camera/no audio gaggles.”

CNN Reporter: White House Doesn’t Want Its ‘Evasive Answers’ On Tape

...Speaking to “CNN Newsroom” anchor Brooke Baldwin after the briefing, Acosta said covering briefings under President Donald Trump’s administration is like “covering bad reality television.”

“The White House is refusing to answer those questions on camera or in any kind of fashion where we can record the audio,” Acosta said. “My guess is because they want their evasive answers not saved for posterity.”

He speculated that the White House may think its responses to reporters’ questions are more palatable when not recorded.

“That is the only conclusion one could draw,” Acosta said. “That when they give us answers, that it somehow reads better in print than it could be seen on television or heard over the radio.”

“Maybe I’m old-fashioned,” he added, “but I think that the White House for the United States of America should have these questions answered on camera so we can see what they’re saying.”

With regard to Spicer’s own penchant for evasive answers, Acosta added: “The White House press secretary is getting to a point, Brooke, where he is just kind of useless.”

He accused the White House of “stonewalling” reporters.

“If he can’t come out and answer the questions, and they’re just not going to do this on camera or audio, why are we even having these briefings or these gaggles in the first place?” Acosta asked. “It’s bizarre. I don’t know what world we’re living in right now.”

Donald Trump’s staffers complain that he’s become “agitated” and “exhausted”

...This confirmation comes at a time when Trump seems to be just barely going through the motions, spending very little time functioning as president, and instead spending most of his time either vacationing at one of his own resorts or tweeting angry garbage out of frustration. Trump hasn’t shown any real interest in the job since he was sworn in, but his unraveling now seems to be an accelerating condition.

Newt Gingrich Revealed The Incredibly Entitled Reason Trump Ran For President

...Trump clearly thinks the presidency is a toy that he could buy because it’s more fun than buying a yacht.

“His response was priceless,” Gingrich writes in “Understanding Trump,” in an excerpt published by ABC News on Sunday. “After a moment of thought, he said, ‘$70 [million] to 80 million: that would be a yacht. This would be a lot more fun than a yacht!’ ”

Trump In Panic Mode, Doesn’t Want To Be President Anymore

...The president, who friends said does not enjoy living in Washington and is strained by the demanding hours of the job, is motivated to carry on because he “doesn’t want to go down in history as a guy who tried and failed,” said the adviser. “He doesn’t want to be the second president in history to resign.”

He's "failed" so many times before; think bankruptcies and marriages. I would think it would be no big deal for him to fail at this. Just so long as he doesn't think he'll get any kind of retirement dollars from us. He can go to Putin for that.

‘Then Tell the Truth!’ Don Lemon Goes Off on White House for Off-Camera Gaggle

...The Washington Post White House reporter Abby Phillip pointed out that Trump’s supporters believe briefings have now become about press outlets “persecut[ing] the president.” That got Lemon going:

“Then get better press people! Then tell the truth at the podium! And then it won’t become a dog and pony show! Tell the truth, get better people to represent you, get people who will challenge you, get people who aren’t afraid to tell you the truth, who will stand up there and say, ‘Look, this is the truth, stop tweeting…'”

People also need to realize that the military can and will step in if necessary. While the title "commander in chief" is mostly ceremonial it is a "rank" given to every sitting president and thus a president could be prosecuted in a court martial for treason....sentence hanging if found guilty.

Melissa McCarthy as Sean Spicer would be the best replacement. No real news comes from the White House anyway - with this administration. I bet the Washington Press Corps would really like to return to the good old days with Josh Earnest and President Obama. No drama. Just information and answers to questions. And no "fake news" outlets present.
