The Twitter Toddler strikes again!

Isn't this what he said about there not being a federal investigation, right before it was revealed there was a federal investigation?
Actually your Twitter account only lists 32 million followers and we already have seen that half of those are fake.

On the other hand Barack Obama has 91 million followers.

I'm just saying.
Oh somebody's been watching Fox and Friends again hasn't he?
Yeah this one kind of stumped me.

So the only person I can come up with could have told Trump to fire Comey, AND is involved in any way with the ongoing investigation is  the Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Why Trump would target him I simply do not know, since it appears that he is doing what he can to keep a lid on this federal investigation.
So, yeah that is weird.

I have literally no firm idea as to what Rosenstein, or the space pod that took over Rosenstein, is trying to say here.

But I think it means that we all need to keep on the lookout for some delicious new information coming from some place overseas that the Trump folks do not want us to believe.

Hey, remember when Fridays started off kind of boring?

Yeah, me either.

Update: By the way Twitter just congratulated Katy Perry for being the FIRST person to attract 100 million followers.

Damn! Busted by his favorite social media outlet.

WHAT THE CLUCK DO WE NEED TRUMP FOR?

    CHANGE JAMES MATTIS's TITLE TO:

    GENERAL JAMES MATIS
    -Secretary of Defense
    & Commander-In-Chief

    -----------

Trump gives away his most consequential decision to the Pentagon

(CNN)President Trump has given Secretary of Defense James Mattis full authority to set US troop levels in Afghanistan.

Before the Senate Appropriations Committee on Wednesday, Mattis lauded the decision as a way to make managing the war effort more efficient: "This assures the department can facilitate our missions and nimbly align our commitment to the situation on the ground," he said.

Fair enough. But there are -- and should be -- honest concerns about the degree to which the President's hands-off approach to the military provides for a proper set of checks and balances and is healthy for civil-military relations in this country...

In high profile investigations, you have the additional reason to shut your mouth because each new comment = new video & sound for news

Pee Pee Tape intel chatter picked up three hours before Donald Trump’s DOJ statement about leaks

...“A lot of us are hearing similar chatter-that a certain US ally has a ‘compromising’ tape of Trump and is debating if/when/how to release it.” (link). Taylor posted this at 6:46pm eastern time, hours before Trump’s DOJ sent the press release.

So it’s not as if this sudden online buzz around the mythical “Pee Pee Tape” is mere speculation as a result of the DOJ press release. Instead, intel community chatter about the compromising tape surfaced online first, and only then did Trump’s camp put out the statement begging the public to ignore any foreign leaks to the U.S. media. So it sounds a lot like the Trump administration heard the same foreign intel community buzz that political insiders heard, and believes that something is indeed about to be leaked.

Trump thinks something is coming, and so do political insiders

Donald Trump’s DOJ puts out panicked press release about leaks, so here comes the biggest leak yet.

...Donald Trump’s Department of Justice put out a brief, bizarre, panicked press release tonight, which carries the name of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein but doesn’t sound like it was written by him, essentially begging Americans to ignore any leaks from overseas intelligence agencies. Even in a surreal time in politics, this move is startling. And now we know what’s next.

The press release tonight from Trump’s DOJ is only three sentences long, but here’s the one that tells you everything you need to know: “Americans should exercise caution before accepting as true any stories attributed to anonymous ‘officials,’ particularly when they do not identify the country – let alone the branch of government – with which the alleged sources supposedly are affiliated.” link). It’s not difficult to read between the lines here: Trump has gotten word that something devastating about him is about to leak from a foreign intelligence agency, and he’s twisting the DOJ into preemptively debunking it.

Mike Pence is so scared of the Trump-Russia investigation, he now has a criminal defense fund

...Back when Mike Pence established his own fundraising PAC a few weeks ago, I figured either he was planning to use it to fund congressional Republican candidates in 2018, or he was planning to run for President himself in 2020. It seemed like a bad sign for Donald Trump. But now it turns out to have been a bad sign for Mike Pence himself, because of what he’s truly been raising money for.

Donald Trump may have just released a statement about leaks under Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein’s name

...Despite this being a relatively brief statement, there’s a lot to unpack here. The reference to leaks that “do not identify the country” suggest that at least some of the Trump-Russia leaks surfacing in the media right now may be from overseas intelligence agencies. That’s not a surprise, as various leaks seemed to have come from the European intel community. But moreover, this statement doesn’t sound like something that Rod Rosenstein would write or release. Instead, we all know there’s only one person in the Donald Trump administration who’s obsessed with leaks.

The verbiage of this press release is too sophisticated to have been written by Donald Trump himself. But it’s precisely the kind of statement he’d want out there right now. So did he twist Rosenstein’s arm into putting out this release? Did he have one of his own handlers write it, and release it under Rosenstein’s name? Is recused-but-not-really-recused Attorney General Jeff Sessions behind this? Does Rosenstein even know that this press release has been issued in his name? Something incredibly bizarre is happening here. There is obviously more to come with this developing story.

Trump’s Personal Lawyer Was Just Slapped With Multiple Bar Complaints

...Mr. Kasowitz does not appear to be a member of the District of Columbia Bar. As a result, by meeting with White House staff within the White House complex and offering the legal opinion that those staffers need not hire counsel, he may have engaged in the unauthorized practice of law. In addition, by advising White House staff members, who are not represented by counsel and who have a reasonable possibility of having interests that conflict with those of Mr. Kasowitz’s client, President Trump, Mr. Kasowitz appears to have violated Rule 4.3.

"Attorney General Janet Reno appointed a special prosecutor to examine whether Bill Clinton was a big ol’ crook who had pressured a bank to make a loan to McDougal. That special prosecutor, Robert Fiske, was replaced a few months later by Ken Starr, because having a special prosecutor appointed by Clinton’s AG was “a conflict of interest.” In 1998, Bill Clinton got his knob polished by a young lady named Monica Lewinsky. Ken Starr never filed charges against Clinton regarding Whitewater, he said, because he wasn’t sure the government’s witnesses weren’t a bunch of paid-off perjurers. Starr, otoh, had filed an amicus brief against Clinton in the Paula Jones case, if memory serves. Starr had a yoooge conflict of interest. Behind the scenes Senators Helms and Faircloth of North Carolina decided Fiske wasn't partisan enough to suit them, even though he was a well respected wingnut.

Every time a Dem appoints a special counsel they appoint moderate wingnuts so there is no complaint of partisanship. Wingnuts, on the other hand usually appoint the most partisan wingnut available for home field advantage.

The GOP’s fantastically anti-democratic quest to kill health care in the dark

...McConnell is trying to eviscerate the Affordable Care Act using methods completely at odds with how the law was originally brought to life in the early Obama administration. The ACA was debated for more than a year and went through an elaborate hearing and amendment process that included some changes urged by Republicans.

By contrast, the bill Senate Republicans are writing is being held as close as the nuclear codes.

Trevor Noah And ‘The Daily Show’ Just Took Donald Trump Mockery To The Next Level
On Thursday, “The Daily Show” debuted The Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trevor-noah-donald-trump-twitter-library_us_5943d93de4b01eab7a2d05e8?a19&ncid=inblnkushpmg00000009

Article includes a few photos and transcript of Noah’s opening remarks.

    Excerpt:
Trevor Noah addressed a crowd while standing inside a recreation of the Oval Office with a Russian flag flanking him and an open golden toilet directly behind him.
“Welcome to what I hope will become a place we live to remember for a very long time,” Noah said into a microphone. “The Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library.”
Thursday night, “The Daily Show” finally debuted their pop-up library that’s dedicated to Donald Trump’s tweets. In many ways, it’s like a typical presidential library, with immersive exhibits and placards adding context to historical artifacts. In other ways, it is not.
“You can sit on a gold shitter!” “Daily Show” correspondent Jordan Klepper explained to HuffPost at the event.
One could only guess at whether this library would be hilarious, a disaster, or a hilarious disaster earlier this year when “The Daily Show” announced their plan. But it turned out to be arguably the most impressive satire of the current administration to date.
Stephen Colbert, Samantha Bee, Seth Meyers and John Oliver are going to have to really consider their next move if they want the elusive Trump mockery crown. Noah and “The Daily Show” crew have vanquished, destroyed, eviscerated, ethered and slammed — insert other destructive verbs here — the president with this ridiculous library.
This Trump Twitter library is right around the corner from Trump Tower in Manhattan, but somehow neither Klepper nor fellow correspondent Hasan Minhaj have ever been inside the latter.
“How would an American version of Jafar live? That’s probably the inside of Trump Tower, in my mind,” Minhaj guessed to HuffPost about what the president’s former residence is like. Despite never stepping foot in Trump Tower, “The Daily Show” crew certainly hopes the president stops by their pop-up over the weekend.
The library didn’t appear to have any books, but has plenty of artworks, interactive activities and small Easter eggs to discover. A large television screen features a live update of Trump’s Twitter. If he tweets during the time the library is open this weekend, a “bing bing bong bong, bing bing, bong bong” alarm, as Noah described, will go off.
The stated goal of the library ― besides jokes ― is to put the president’s tweets into a historical context. “I think over time, they will lose context,” said Noah during his speech in front of the golden toilet. “And people will assume that they’re misinterpreting them. They will say, ‘Surely, that was not what the president wrote back in that day, maybe language has changed.’ They will then find ways to distill them and turn them into coherent language, which is partly why we are holding this beautiful Twitter library experience ― because we do not wish for that to take place.”
Noah continued, saying the president was at his “best when experienced in his purest form.”
“That’s what this library is about,” he continued. “We are living in history, people. This is the beginning ... and possibly the end.”
he library is located at 3 West 57th Street in New York and is open Friday, June 16, through Sunday June 18, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The admission is free.
HuffPost reporter Bill Bradley sat on the golden toilet and asked Noah what he’d say to Trump if he ever slid into his DMs on Twitter. “Well, the obligatory, u up?” Noah responded. “And then #followback.”
Presumably Noah and Klepper and Minhaj won’t be on the premises this weekend, but who knows, maybe Trump will stop by to bask in this monument to his writing.
“This is real history,” Minhaj said to HuffPost at one point in the night. “We are living through history.”

AP POLL: Trump Disapproval Ratings Are In & Donald Is Already Tweeting

Nearly two thirds of Americans do not approve of the job that the president is doing, according to a new poll released by the Associated Press. Only 35 percent of Americans do approve of President Trump’s job performance thus far.

According to the AP, even a quarter of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents disapprove of the job that the president is doing.

These numbers are striking but they’re hardly surprising. Trump has shown time and time again that he really doesn’t know what he’s doing, and he’s even admitted as such. Concurrently, he’s not even accomplishing his own agenda, let alone anything that could stand to benefit wide swaths of Americans.

The AP poll measured respondents’ views on President Trump’s handling of various specific issues, and the opinion is pretty clear across the board — Trump has no idea what he’s doing, and it’s hurting America.

    According to the AP poll:

Donald Trump is desperate for a foil.

...There are a couple of reasons why Trump’s interactions with Russia matter more than Clinton’s. The first is that he is president and she is not. The second is that Russia did not interfere in the 2016 election to benefit Hillary Clinton—it did so to benefit Donald Trump. And the third is that Hillary Clinton’s former campaign advisers didn’t repeatedly lie about their meetings with the Russians—Donald Trump’s did.

That Trump is bringing up the tarmac meeting between Lynch and Bill Clinton is also very strange, because it mirrors Trump’s own interactions with James Comey—with the important difference, as Vox’s Matt Yglesias notes, that Donald Trump is president and Bill Clinton was not. By drawing attention to Clinton’s alleged obstruction of justice, Trump is undermining his own claim that he did not obstruct justice.

All of this seems desperate. Trump has been searching for a foil for the last six months and hasn’t yet found one, so he keeps going back to Hillary Clinton. But even Trump has to sense that Clinton-bashing will not save him.

Why Trump Is a Loyalty Freak

...Loyalty Day seemed to symbolize the defining neurosis of Trump’s presidency: his maniacal need for loyalty above all else. It’s the reason he has failed to nominate anyone to fill hundreds of key federal jobs. It’s the reason he has surrounded himself not with “the best” advisers, as he promised in the campaign, but with a gaggle of ego-stroking family members, hangers-on, profiteers, and rogue ideologues. And it’s why, the week after Loyalty Day, “loyalty” became the pretext for his decision to fire the FBI director who was investigating Trump’s own campaign. James Comey’s dismissal left little doubt that Trump’s preoccupation with personal loyalty—even more than incompetence, stupidity, or corruption—could be the thing that wrecks his presidency.

...In some ways, the tunnel-vision insistence on loyalty is the least surprising thing about Trump’s presidency. After all, the man has always been a self-described “loyalty freak.” Asked a couple of years back what he looked for most in an employee, he shot back the “l”-word without pause. Some observers have chalked this up to Trump’s paranoid personality and deep-seated insecurity. More tangibly, it stems from his business past: Navigating the notoriously cutthroat, mob-ridden, and litigious world of New York real estate, he naturally came to value personal allegiance above all else. When your business model orbits entirely around yourself, everyone else must yield to your gravity.

T.rump threw Rosenstien under the bus after he forced him to rite that memo- remember? Than The Rump did a 180 spin (tied T.Rump's topknot in a knot, I hear) and said he had decided to fire Comey before that because of the Russia investigation (on television interview) indicting himself in teh process. I see the investigation of Rosenstein zealously doign his job while rasign those tire marks on his back. He learned quickly NEVER to trust T.Rump.

I thought little donnie was on NBC bragging that it was his idea to fire Comey about the russian thing.

Now that has gotten him in trouble so he does what he always does, throw someone else under the bus. It must be getting pretty crowded under there.
