John McCain has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

Courtesy of The Hill:

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has been diagnosed with brain cancer, the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix said Wednesday.

The tumor was discovered after the senior Arizona senator underwent a minor procedure last week to remove a blood clot from above his left eye.

"Subsequent tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot," the hospital said in a statement.

“The Senator and his family are reviewing further treatment options with his Mayo Clinic care team. Treatment options may include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation."

I just heard a doctor on MSNBC saying that this is very bad news, and that once you receive a diagnosis like this it is typically terminal with only between 14 months and three years left before it takes your life.

I have been a strong critic of John McCain's for years now, but right now my heart goes out him and his family.

P.S. I think this helps to explain why McCain was babbling during the Comey Senate hearings.

My husband died of this and I was sure McCain had some type of brain cancer after what happened in the Senate hearings. There is little that can be done. Radiation and chemotherapy will prolong his life for awhile. But, even if he lives 3 years, which he likely won't given his age, he won't be able to function as a senator.

McCain should resign and spend his remaining time with his family, enjoying life. The last place he should be is in the senate.

It's a sad diagnosis. He should gracefully retire now.

I never paid any attention to McCain until he picked Sarah Palin as his running mate; what kind of a desperate act was that? Fortunately it didn't work but her behavior on the campaign trail in 2008 opened the way for the viciousness of the following years. I suspect he regrets having selected her and, given our national nightmare with Donald Trump, McCain may also regret that he was so unceasingly unpleasant to and about President Obama while he was in office.

Why some wanted to keep him in senate was because he could block, obstruct and keep some investigations from being investigated. I am sure after many years he did some good things, but he was a real snake also.

Mr. McCain has money, insurance, support and every chance, 75% of average American's do not have money, insurance or support while being diagnosed with a serious health issue. Each and every American could be diagnosed with brain cancer or another life threatening disease at any moment. All USA citizens should have the same healthcare, treatment and chance to life just like mr McCain.

People forget the Savings and Loan mess. They were bleeding the elderly, their savings for old age. Some American elders may have had serious problems like brain cancer.

John McCain was not loyal to those Americans. He was loyal to the robbers.

He was raised in a military family and taught all the things about being a loyal American and such. It doesn't mean he had the right values. It just meant he knew the right rhetoric.

Had he been a loyal American he would have done the right thing when he finally figured out he didn't vet Sarah Palin and about all her lies and fraud. He covered up for her and made her crimes his.

That and more are going to his grave with him. He fools people.

Had McCain and Palin fooled Americans into voting for their fraud and they won, they would have gone on with the lies, been in office and been our leaders.

I see nothing about him being loyal to the United States. I think people just believe the propaganda and lies.

People did the same with Trump and many still believe his lies, too.

See, this post explains everything about Trump's second meeting with Putin and his kid Donnie Jr with the Russians. They were all talking about Russian adoptions.

Why is our president concerned about Russian adoptions when North Korea can hit Alaska, TrumpCare is failing, Jared may be charged with treason, Trump can't produce his taxes because he is still under audit, Trump is upset with Jeff Sessions, Mueller is on his family's ass....

    Mediaite:
Trump Reveals Details About Second Putin Meeting: ‘I Actually Talked About Russian Adoption With Him’

    by Joe Bilello | 9:14 pm, July 19th, 2017

....The President claimed that the two leaders talked about “pleasantries” for about 15 minutes.

Trump downplayed the significance of the meeting with his Russian counterpart saying, “I actually talked about Russian adoption with him.”

The adoption of Russian children in the U.S. has been banned since President Obama signed the Magnitsky Act in 2012.

The Magnitsky Act, also known as the Russia and Moldova Jackson-Vanik Repeal and Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act of 2012, was passed by Congress, signed by President Obama, and was intended to punish Russian officials responsible for the death of Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitskyback in 2009.

In response, the Russian President had banned American adoptions of Russian children in after the Obama administration enacted sanctions on Russians accused of human rights abuses.

Trump mentioned that it was “interesting” that adoptions came up since his son, Donald Trump Jr., had also claimed that was the topic of his recent meetings with Russians with alleged ties to the Kremlin as well....

    Im confused? What is it?

    McCain is a fighter

    McCain is not a hero

Has no remorse telling the world McCain is not a hero

    WHAT IS IT?

    --------

    Examiner:
President Trump on Wednesday night offered support for Sen. John McCain who was diagnosed with brain cancer.

"Senator John McCain has always been a fighter," Trump said in a statement. "Melania and I send our thoughts and prayers to Senator McCain, Cindy, and their entire family. Get well soon."

    --------

“He’s not a war hero,” said Trump. “He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

The remarks, which came after days of back-and-forth between McCain and Trump, were met with scattered boos.

McCain, a former Navy pilot, spent roughly five-and-half years in a notorious North Vietnamese prison known as the “Hanoi Hilton,” where he was repeatedly tortured. He spent two of those years in solitary confinement.

    --------

    CNN:
(CNN)Donald Trump expressed no remorse Wednesday for saying last summer that Sen. John McCain was "not a war hero," despite being captured in Vietnam and tortured as a prisoner of war.

The presumptive GOP presidential nominee's comments came just days after McCain reiterated his call for Trump to take back his comments about other captured members of the military.

"What he said about me, John McCain, that's fine. I don't require any repair of that," McCain, who recently said he would support Trump as the nominee, told CNN's Manu Raju in an interview

Someone in his own party just days ago said McCain needs to 'just go die already...' he's essentially lost respect from members in his own party. His time came and went. He should have retired after his loss in 2008.

He should have gone to jail after the savings and loan scams and how he got all that sidetracked. He's a horrible man with money behind him. Also he had a father and grandfather that made it so he didn't have to deal with consequences.

No doubt his plane falling into the water was not a good thing for him. He never had to fight on the ground and blow up women and children, farmers like others.

He was just a crazy bomber pilot. He could blow people up and remain safe. I don't see that as heroic, it was not like WW2. There were no enemy pilots after him. It was more like thrill seeking flight and bomb.

Being a prisoner must have been miserable, but hero? I am sure he was with much more heroic soldiers. He had PR and special attention.

The money that got him elected was from the Mafia. He has always been dirty.

I don't wish him anything bad. I wish the truth comes out about him and Palin. That is about as positive as it gets. Truth.

7:01 I agree He is a mean spirited SOB who voted against All Legislation that would help people. He was going to vote against ACA. Did you ever see such a piss poor loser after he lost in 2008?There are videos showing him screaming at people one was in a wheelchair with his arm upraised like he was going to strike. He was calling her the c word and every other foul word. This woman was trying to find POWs.

He is a foul tempered nasty POS who may have spoken out from time to time against the GOP but almost always voted with them.He voted against the violence against women act for christs sake.Read Matt Taibbi's article on him or The Real McCain. He is not a good person. It is too bad he has cancer but that doesn't change his character or past actions.

I have heard many cancer patients say that the diagnose of cancer is a odd gift. People come clean, confess, try and make things right, forgive, forget and realize life is short and words and actions mean something while living on earth. They treat people with respect, thankful for life, humbled. 100's around the world will be diagnosed today with cancer or disease. Most do not have the resources to get treatments.

While President Carter had fast growing tumors( same kind as my Dad, he had the new infusion "surgery" for a better word, he had the new infusion therapy that injects chemo directly into the tumors even though they aren't on the bodies surface. While this gave my Dad and President Carter a few more yrs it did not cure either of them. I actually just lost my 95 yr old Dad to another health issue and I wish Carter as many productive yrs left as he can grab. But melanoma never leaves your body, one cell will migrate elsewhere. But in the mean time, build on President Carer, build on!
