Leading Psychiatry group give its members permission to publicly say that Donald Trump is a crazy person. Because...well Donald Trump is a crazy person.

Courtesy of Yahoo News:

A leading psychiatry group has told its members they should not feel bound by a longstanding rule against commenting publicly on the mental state of public figures — even the president.

The statement, an email this month from the executive committee of the American Psychoanalytic Association to its 3,500 members, represents the first significant crack in the profession’s decades-old united front aimed at preventing experts from discussing the psychiatric aspects of politicians’ behavior. It will likely make many of its members feel more comfortable speaking openly about President Trump’s mental health.

The impetus for the email was “belief in the value of psychoanalytic knowledge in explaining human behavior,” said psychoanalytic association past president Dr. Prudence Gourguechon, a psychiatrist in Chicago. “We don’t want to prohibit our members from using their knowledge responsibly.”

That responsibility is especially great today, she told STAT, “since Trump’s behavior is so different from anything we’ve seen before” in a commander in chief.

An increasing number of psychologists and psychiatrists have denounced the restriction as a “gag rule” and flouted it, with some arguing they have a “duty to warn” the public about what they see as Trump’s narcissism, impulsivity, poor attention span, paranoia, and other traits that, they believe, impair his ability to lead.

As I have mentioned before I work in the mental health community, it is indeed frowned upon to just start calling people retard, crazy, or a psycho. Even IF those labels perfectly describe them.

However in all seriousness, Donald Trump is a crazy retarded psycho.

This is a guy who once pretended to be his own spokesperson.

He sits in trucks and does this.

THAT'S not normal.

He has the lowest approval ratings in the history of approval ratings, and he seriously seems to think that we should consider putting his giant head on Mt. Rushmore.

There are people currently in rubber rooms with less psychotic thinking than that.

So yes, we need the psychiatric community to weigh in and explain why Trump does what he does, thinks what the thinks, and is potentially capable of doing or thinking next.

Trump isn't the only person you've referred to yourself as "crazy", etc in the past. No fan of Trump or any Republican but you've broken that rule early and often.

    1. Oh I just said it was frowned upon.

I have no personal rule against calling a crazy person crazy.

And we have dealt with many of them here on IM.

    2. Anonymous7:27 AM

Crazy is just a word. It doesn't really relay how serious or dangerous a sick mind can be. People say how crazy my sister is, how crazy my dog, James T. Hodgkinson is crazy or the president is crazy. It doesn't say much about any of them. It just means a person is flummoxed and can't express much more at that time.

"A leading psychiatry group has told its members they should not feel bound by a longstanding rule against commenting publicly on the mental state of public figures — even the president." that is a good thing. It will promote deeper and meaningful discussion. IMO I think most Americans do see that Trump is a toothless incompetent trying to chew up his enemies, paranoia is a hellish state of being. Due to the electoral college system, a crazy paranoid is in a position of power. Most Americans can see and they realized he has a sick mind and he can and is doing great harm. Call it crazy or whatever you like, it needs to be discussed.

    3. Anonymous8:53 AM

Hey there are many "crazy" professionals. They could be athletes, scientist, doctors, lawyers, developers, Generals, Ranch hands, handyman, etc. But!
When describing mr trump and his mean bully lying hateful dangerous mob clinically diagnosed mental issue it is a different kind of crazy. And in this case a matter of the Danger, Life, Death, destruction, obstruction of America.
People who surf 40 ft waves are crazy. People who scale sky scrapers are crazy, Rodeo clowns are crazy. America calls trump organization and loyalist behavior clinical mental illness. The hate and division, the fake news, the lying all directly causing harm to our infants, youth and adults of this country and around globe. And directly wasting our tax dollars and time, we have urgent infrastructure and security issues and this mental mess ass has meltdowns daily. America prays for relief. America prays for the Mueller Team investigation to put an end to this outrageously dangerous scam of lying, bad behavior and actions of trump and his enablers. America is better and deserves better. We teach our children honesty and respect to all. We are not and will not be the trumps victim nor allow this asshole to twist our constitution. Resist and Demand the Resignation today of mr trump and his appointments.

    4. There's crazy and then there's sociopathic malignant narcissist.

There's a difference between the common crazy of every day life and the extreme mental deviation that could harm this country.

    A must read...
    We've Lost to President Trump

This article is depressing but unfortunately I think true... it lays out why and how trump will stay in power (mostly likely 8 yrs) - and bottom line a lot of it is because too many of democrats are using the chaos of the White House as a fundraising excuse but only "talking" about the problem not taking action

    Excerpt From Rogue POTUS Staff
" We hoped that the power of democracy would be able to influence the outcome of this administration one way or another. In many ways this administration has turned out worse than even our pessimistic fears could have imagined. And somehow, our efforts have become weighed down in a thick partisan fog against a mutually corrupt oppositional leadership. "

    1. Anonymous8:12 AM

6:19. I don't think trump will live another 8 years, much less 4. He will have a heart attack any day now with his weight issues and diet and the fact he doesn't see a doctor on a regular basis except that yoked out hippy he paid to say he was the healthiest president ever "cough cough".

    2. Anonymous8:56 AM

I disagree completely. Trump will not last out the year. It may get worst before better but he will not survive the outcome.

    3. Well, DUH!

You know what Perez, Schumer and the DCC have decided are their main platform for the next election?

Antitrust. Seriously, that's their big message. Like people care? Like the average person is going to understand the complexity of that? Oh, but they're going to "educate" them and make them care? Really? SERIOUSLY? Like that worked so well in 2016.

What *should* their next platform be?

How about this for a slogan "Democrats: the party that isn't trying to kill you."

"Democrats: We gave you health insurance and we can make it better."

Geez, just about anything but that crap they decided on.

And it isn't even JOBS specifically. Aside from the fact JOBS was all 2016.

Once again the Democrats are living in the 90s and failing to listen and failing to act. They have no guts and no backbone. They've having a tea party in the middle of a knife fight. They are clueless.

And they simply don't know what they're doing. They're relying on "trends" and "polls" instead of really doing the work.

I want fucking Howard Dean back. He knew how to win.

Trump Reportedly Seeking Revenge On Alaska Over Health Care Vote

The Alaska Dispatch News reported Wednesday night that Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke called Murkowski and fellow Alaskan Sen. Dan Sullivan (R) after Tuesday’s health care vote to let them know her position had put some of their state-specific projects in jeopardy ― particularly those pertaining to energy.

Sullivan told the outlet that Zinke’s phone call carried a “troubling message,” and the interior secretary made it clear to him that the call was in response to Murkowski voting no on the motion to proceed on Tuesday.

She was only one of two Republicans, along with Sen. Susan Collins (Maine), to break from party lines on the vote.

While Murkowski did not respond to Alaska Dispatch News’ requests for comment regarding the phone call, the senator seemed unfazed by the president’s attempts at publicly shaming her.

    1. Anonymous7:27 AM

Question. Is Murkowski taking this stand to enhance her chances in being reelected by Alaskans? Seems likely to me. Sorry, I don't trust her - never have!

    2. Anonymous7:59 AM

Gee, Alaska has become the enemy and must be punished. (Trump Is Reportedly Seeking Revenge On Alaska - Murkowski)

Love and support pour in for cancer stricken elder Senator John McCain, from Hollywood to Washington, reactions flood into social media. In a half ass way his former team mate made an obligatory effort to stay relevant and she joined the crowd with her comment. (She is another representative of Alaskan politics).

Compatriots on a 2008 ticket to the White House, Senator McCain lifted Sarah Palin and her family up to heights they could never live up to, the entire family did more to bring the McCains down and into disgrace than McCain himself did during his public careers. Yet all she can do at a critical time for the McCain family is an obligation? She reeks of I don't care if the old fool dies now. There is not a colder former running mate in the history of the USA. Bristol, who is a daughter, like Meghan, obviously has ice running through her veins and no thought about her former sister of another mother. She is too busy selling a diet tea on social media. Meghan was more than a bff, she was a true believer, and there for Bristol at a time her mother was displaying the then teen like a freak in a freak show.

As her body was telling one story while the propaganda and rhetoric told another. Meghan McCain was there for Bristol while the whole Palin family was making her father look like a senile and incompetent old loser.

Bristol at last did get what she needed, someone to be in a father role in some kind of marriage that could pass for legit, someone to deflect from all the bastards she would birth. That would have never happened if not for the McCains. The former Marine that was found for Bristol would have never cared to partner with a non-political group. He has political aspirations and a long list of promotional ideas. His shady past is ripe with fraud where much deflection is necessary. He needed political clout, it is a dream job to merge with the name recognition he admires.

He is now busy saving humanity by his fearless and tireless work #ownthedash

Murkowski Responds To Trump Admin Threat: I’m ‘Strong And Independent’

Murkowski’s colleague, Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK), had earlier told the Alaska Dispatch News that Zinke called him and threatened to retaliate against the state over the senators’ vote on Obamacare repeal. He noted that Zinke also spoke with Murkowski.

Democrats demand investigation of ‘political blackmail’ against Murkowski

The top Democrat on the House Natural Resources Committee said Thursday he will request a formal investigation into whether Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke threatened projects important to Alaska in retribution for Sen. Lisa Murkowski's vote against health care legislation.

Zinke called Murkowski and fellow Alaska Sen. Dan Sullivan Wednesday afternoon — a day after Murkowski voted against taking up the bill to repeal Obamacare — to warn them that the administration's support for energy projects in the state are now at risk, Sullivan told the Alaska Dispatch News. The "message was pretty clear," Sullivan said.

Citing that report, Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) said Zinke had crossed the line.

“Running a department of the federal government means you serve the American people as a protector of their rights and freedoms,” Grijalva said in a statement. “It doesn’t mean you serve the president as a bag man for his political vendettas. Threatening to punish your rivals as political blackmail is something we’d see from the Kremlin. Secretary Zinke’s willingness to deliver these threats speaks volumes about his ethical standards and demonstrates that Interior’s policy positions are up for political grabs, rather than based on science or the public interest.”

    4. Anonymous11:12 AM

I say that because during an all out war like that we would find out who their supporters are and FAST, they would all crawl out of the woodworks to keep the home fires burning while the other side throws buckets of water on it.
By far though the most under-reported today is the Mafia even though as others have said: they litterly OWN Russia. I would say the Russian mafia makes the MS13 look like a bunch of newborn babies crying for their mommies.'

He has ruined the Republican party and those that still support him in Congress are going to have a difficult time being reelected.

The fact nothing is being done to get this jerk out of office is mind boggling! He is ruining our country and making Americans angry, hateful and ugly!

  8. Anonymous7:10 AM

Donald Trump is hardly the first mental case to make it in the American political and election system. It is about time psychologists and psychiatrists are free to speak up.

    1. Anonymous8:23 AM

Agree. About time. There are so many before that needed psychologists and psychiatrists speaking up. While they can have different opinions, let them all have their say.

What comes to mind from the past is John McCain, he is still an influential opinion and doer in the senate. He initiated a way for a Trump to make it to power.

Had his mental condition been out lined with professional mental health doctors and workers, he may have saved us from enduring all the cover up of that nightmare experience.

McCain did lose but he went on to cover up the lies of what he did. He vetted Sarah Palin? If he did he was in on the fraud with her from the beginning. His lies about all that continue to keep doing harm. They are part of what is now destroying us. As well as shaming and making the USA a horrific threat in the world.

It would be a great boon if we could have deeper discussions and potentially get to a place where we could expose the sickness of the lies that keep us bound to the injustice and wrongs of McCain.

He is a fixer and he will fix his reputation and legacy. He is not about to reveal any misdoing or crimes he partners with. He is acting like he can return to work and he will overcome his aggressive cancer. He may or may not believe that. I think he wants to end the Palin legacy and go out as the warrior senator legacy.

That is a shame. No one should allow the truth to be obstructed and for the lies to win.

It's not just Trump-"White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci is definitely communicating. He called up the New Yorker's Ryan Lizza to vent.

In the process, he told Lizza that “Reince is a fucking paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac,” going on to say that he would be "fired very shortly."

Going off the rails completely, he continued:

“The swamp will not defeat him,” he said, breaking into the third person. “They’re trying to resist me, but it’s not going to work. I’ve done nothing wrong on my financial disclosures, so they’re going to have to go fuck themselves.”

Scaramucci also told me that, unlike other senior officials, he had no interest in media attention. “I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own cock,” he said, speaking of Trump’s chief strategist. “I’m not trying to build my own brand off the fucking strength of the President. I’m here to serve the country.” (Bannon declined to comment.)

He reiterated that Priebus would resign soon, and he noted that he told Trump that he expected Priebus to launch a campaign against him. “He didn’t get the hint that I was reporting directly to the President,” he said. “And I said to the President here are the four or five things that he will do to me.” His list of allegations included leaking the Hannity dinner and the details from his financial-disclosure form."

    1. The Mooch is going to be out very soon.

I'd say he shares the Trump trait in that he is what he accuses others of.

      He's the paranoid schizophrenic.

He's referring to himself in the third person.

I'd look into his financials asap.

He is *ALL* about media attention. He is absolutely selling his "brand." How much has he been all over the media. And he is the one that called this guy, not the other way around.

Priebus isn't resigning. Moochi is trying to undermine him and get him fired. I'm sure he's making stuff up and back stabbing Priebus in Trump's ear. After he gets rid of Priebus he'll go after Bannon. He's not content with being communications director. He wants their jobs.

We all know who the loose lip is in the White House. Scaramucci did it right on TV.
